They wear ties, which is very impressive, but after a $17 car wash I should not still have bird poop on my moonroof.

If I could give zero stars to this establishment, I would. It is a Saturday afternoon and I just…read moreleft Zips Car Wash to wash my SUV. It was moderately dirty. It did have a lot of bird poop on the front of the vehicle. However, the rest of the vehicle had normal dust and dirt. The car lives in a garage and is never parked on the street. Upon going through the car wash, I pulled over to where the free vacuums are, and noticed that my car was still extremely filthy on the back and sides. There were no running water streaks, pulling dirt from the roof, that would have made sense. There was just still dirt on the back of the car. After I spent about 20 minutes scrubbing the bird poop off the front of my car (which I understand a car wash cannot remove stuck on bird poop, so I was fine cleaning that off myself.) After going through about 10 baby wipes to try to rectify the situation and clean off the dirt that was not removed on my car from the car wash on the back and sides (not the bird poo). I went around to the car wash entry again and I said to the attendant: "hey my car didn't get clean going through here at all. I was previously told that this establishment (about six months ago another attendant told me this) that I could go through again if my car was unsatisfactorily clean from the first time" This is where it gets interesting. The attendant was reasonably kind and said I don't know if I can do that for you, and I asked could I please have you call your manager? He said yes he called the manager and put him on speaker - this manager's name is Joyner or jointer I'm not sure - The manager proceeded to ask me who told me that in an accusatory tone, and I replied with a description of the man who told me that, and he had told me he was a manager. Whether or not that person lied, which it appears he did, I -the customer- did not know that. And having a manager start calling you a bitch and accusing you of lying in and a very rude way is completely ridiculous business practice! It was shocking to say the least. It appears you will not get a car wash at zips, you will get a car rinse that maybe cleans a car that has already been washed . Spend your money elsewhere like Ace flying car wash at Bridgewater. I'll be telling everyone I know that this is not a good business to patron. Even Mike's car wash (which has gotten exceedingly poor at the route 4 location) is better than this. Definitely do not recommend. Go elsewhere.

Then when Abby checked me in she told me that it would be a 90 minute wait. I was a little surprised and told her that I had a 9:00 appoitment. She said that she knew but it would still be 90 minutes since they don't have an express lane like other dealers. I told her again that I was not looking for an express lane, that I had made an appoitment. She continued to insist it would be 90 minutes. I decided to wait because I had a coupon for almost 1/2 off of an oil change. At 9:45 they send me a video of my car on the lift. It still had the old filter on it so I am willing to bet my car with a 9:00 appointment sat there until 9:45 until they started working on it. My car was done at 9:10 which seemed like a reasonable amount of time for a car to get an oil change and inspection done. This again reaffirmed in my mind that my car sat 45 minutes before being worked on. Don't be fooled into thinking that having an appointment means that they are going to work on your car at that time. Don't be fooled into thinking that 4 or 5 service advisors standing at their desks doing nothing means one of them is going to call you over to work with you. I don't think I will be taking my car back there.

I wasn't planning on reviewing this BP..I didn't even check in here because who cares? But then…read morethey screwed me over and I feel I should share my experience to warn others about what happened. So I had some extra time to kill waiting on my appointment at CarMax up the road so I decided to fill up my gas tank in the meantime. I pulled up to a pump and inserted my credit card. It asked for my cards billing zip code so I entered it and hit enter. It said it was an invalid zip code. I re-entered the zip code and pressed enter again..it again said invalid zip code. I was for sure entering the correct one so I didn't understand what was going on. I entered it one more time and waited to press enter to see if that was somehow what I was doing wrong. A message ran across the screen saying "press yes"..so I did..figuring that was what I was doing wrong. I finished pumping my gas and the receipt printed out. On the receipt I saw that I was charged for a car wash. What in the world? The machine said to press yes after I entered my zip code..saying nothing about a car wash. I was pretty fumed. I went inside to talk to the cashier about getting a refund for the unwanted car wash..and he pretty much told me there was nothing he could do about it. I explained to him what happened and he said that he understood, and that it sucked and he was sorry, but that there was nothing he could do about it since I paid through the pump. It's very hard to believe there was nothing they could do about it. CarMax always gives you a complimentary wash when you get your car checked up there..so why would I want to pay for a car wash 10 minutes before I went over there? He said I would have to take it up with my credit card company. I looked into it and it's this huge process that could take up to three months and involves having to provide all this info and do all this work to dispute the charge..and they could still deny it if they felt it wasn't what they consider a fraudulent charge. For a six dollar car wash it hardly seemed sensible to do that. So yeah..this location pretty much conned me out of $6. To add insult to injury all the gas stations that I passed the rest of the day had gas prices, on average, about 30 cents cheaper a gallon. I would say avoid this station at all costs. There are plenty other gas stations in the general vicinity that won't scam you out of a couple extra bucks just for the heck of it. The car wash is good for thirty days so you can bet your A-S-S I'll be heading back to get it at some point. And it better be the best car wash I've ever been given..seriously..it's so ridiculous. It's just six bucks but it's more about the principle of it..you know?
