Why does Mike's car wash let vehicles thru wash when there's major car damage then you go thru and scratches your vehicle

I have been a faithful customer for years and the last visit they tried to cram a lot of cars into wash , I got stuck and my tire covering was ripped off. When I filed claim they tried to say it was already loose which was not true or valid. They states due to this they would reject my claim. I will never visit Mike washes again especially the Fairfield location which pulled my car parts off. Very disappointing.....I suggest you think twice if you have a decent car. I drive a Lincoln nautilus that I keep in good condition and now it looks ragged and I have to come out of pocket to fix it. Bad business ! read more

Went through the car wash and they're system damaged my bumper. Filed a claim and they said that my car was already damaged before hand which I can assure you it was not. While I was in line to talk with a manager it turned out that the person inn front of me also had their car damaged. Company sucks but the people working that day were nice but they're equipment just sucks and they won't take responsibility. read more

This message comes from a former employee who wishes to remain anonymous. The job at Mike's is not what it appears to be at first glance. Upon arrival, new employees may think they are being greeted by associates who are compensated fairly for standing out in the rain, snow, or blazing sun. However, most part-time associates earn an average of $12 per hour and work the same length of shifts as full-time employees. By the end of the day, we often feel sunburned, sick from the cold, or drenched from the rain. Recently, the company invested in an umbrella for some shade, but it doesn't help much when we have to leave it to perform our duties. It is a requirement to stand outside in extreme heat, and as a so-called "reward," we get to wear short-sleeved, breathable polo shirts--though these are not necessarily suitable for all weather conditions. The temperature in the loaders' area can soar above 85 degrees, but the company seems indifferent. Employees are expected to wear a white dress shirt, buttoned to the top, with a tie tucked in, causing us to sweat and overheat. The company installs fans to "cool us down," but these blow hot air from the car wash right onto our backs, making us feel even hotter. Overall, the company does not prioritize the comfort of its workers and shows little sign of improvement, particularly since those in charge of making changes work in offices and are unaware of the struggles we face. You might think it can't be that bad, especially if you're a student or high schooler looking for a part-time, simple job. But that's not the case. For instance, if you are a college student or high schooler with a busy schedule, Mike's requires you to attend mandatory team meetings at 6 AM to discuss a sale that could easily be communicated through an online module or shared during your next shift. Missing the meeting could jeopardize your job. In summary, I have scars from my time there, and I have endured burns, cuts, falls, and countless hours in the scorching sun, all for a part-time job that pays less than a position at McDonald's, where I would feel valued and supported. In my opinion, working here is not worth it, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. This is my fourth attempt to share my experience and opinion, and the company has removed my previous three posts because they know I am right. I went to this car wash and they said I didn't have the 6 month pass showing up in their system so I needed to pay for the wash. The lady mgr that evening said if I had the receipt showing I had the 6 month they would refund my $310. I brought the receipt back that same evening and she told me she would make sure they refunded the money. Thanked her and left. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED THE REFUND!!!!!!! I've used Mike's Car Wash for the last 20 years and have had no problems until the last visit. After the wash, I noticed a crack on the hatch back of my car. I took the car back to Mike's and the manager took pictures and made a out a claim. However the home office denied any wrong doing My car has brush scrapes at the crack site and on the left side door. I had a sticker on the rear windshield and it has been torn off. The before and after pictures that taken of the wash show the sticker gone after the wash but the crack is not able to be seen clearly enough to make a judgement call. Car damage.. miscommunication with attendant.. spray windows while giving hand signals.. not spraying opposite side after acknowledging they would.. confusing ..you have to drive onto a constantly moving belt while waiting for other side to be sprayed..not like other car washes.. read more

Just got my daughter's car washed at Mike's Carwash after her car was covered in berries and bird poo from sitting under a tree for 2 1/2 days. They power washed the entire car before going through the wash, no extra charge. Not a speck of berries or poo was left and the car looks great. Thanks! read more

Was on business trip and wen for first result on map. Bad idea. Wash was poor and their service is way overpriced. Avoid.

They put you bumper to bumper with the car ahead of you,which is dangerous,to get as many in and out as possible.The wash is average at best never being completely dry and leaving water spots everywhere.I usually use the self serve wash and they have reduced considerably the amount of soap that is being dispensed by the machines.Wash at home now. read more

I just want to put my positive word for this and really every Mikes car wash around the Cincy area. Every time I go my car is as clean as it could be. Really I do not think you could get a better wash anywhere. The workers are always friendly. Yes it is a rather high price but you get what you pay for. Have been coming to this location now for over a year during my lunch break with no problems until yesterday. I noticed severe water spots all over my car white in color and almost impossible to remove with a shammy as I always wipe down my door jams etc. at the Circle K directly next to the car wash. I went back today to see if it was simply an anomaly, they did give me a free re-wash but the outcome was just as bad or worse The dried soap residue smells highly like vinegar and will not come off unless you hand wash your car with with a great deal of scrubbing. These water spots are just as hard to get off of your windows as well. very disappointed as this WAS my go to place to shine the wheels up conveniently during lunch... read more

Quick in and out. Good wash, and cleared all the road salt off my car. I have not had the experiences of others that reviewed, and I keep in mind that it is an automatic wash, so there's that. Have been a customer of Mike's for years, and they do a good job. I just wish that they would take care of the interior as well, rather than charging me additional to use their vacuums. read more

My husband was in the Mike's Carwash yesterday on Acme Drive in Fairfield. While IN the wash he was rear ended by another car, a woman who thought she was in neutral - but actually in drive. Once both cars were out of the wash, the manager came out and would not allow the drivers to exchange insurance information and not allow them to talk to each other. He had them fill out a form and said someone would get back to him in FIVE DAYS. My husband is off work from the hit to his back and we cannot get corporate to give us a call back. HORRIBLE, horrible way to handle this issue. HORRIBLE response to customer service calls. Cannot call a local Mike's - all calls send you through to Corporate. Very, very disappointed. read more

They wear ties, which is very impressive, but after a $17 car wash I should not still have bird poop on my moonroof.

I've used this car wash for years and I must admit the quality of service has went to hell. When you pay $20 for a wash you should get good results. The only thing I request is to have my grill and windshield brushed prior to the wash to get the bugs off. Staff is to lazy to pick up the brush lately. Perhaps some of them need to find a new job and let someone who can actually do the job give it a try. No worries though re-washes are free. Just keep going thru for free until it's clean. Don't take your car here if it has rust! they will take your money, decide they don't want to wash your car, because the rust could contaminate their carwash. Seriously, you can't make this stuff up. They took the money, waited till I was about to enter, then made this decision, which involved backing up all the other cars. True story, just happened. I looked, there is no sign stating rust-free cars only, but apparently that's their new policy. (it wasn't their policy last week or any other time I have been there.) read more

I visited this car wash at 7 am while it was still dark. While I've used Mikes many times with other vehicles this was the first time with my new car. I found it to be scratched all along one side as well as a spot on the opposite side. That along with the rear being filthy. I even call ahead the day before to confirm this vehicle was safe to wash there. I was shocked when i found it and immediately called as i was headed out of town. I was asked to return once i came back and did so. Pictures were taken and i was told claims would contact me. They did by mail 4 days later saying "after carefully considering my damage" found it to not be their fault. I will not accept this form letter and will pursue other means of getting my car repaired. I would urge others to consider alternatives to Mikes. I wanted to update I filed a claim on March 18 the letter was typed on March 18 and mailed on March 19. I believe that shows how much they carefully considered the damage on my vehicle. I realize all businesses are Open to make money and I do not mind paying for good service but it certainly seems to me that Mike's Carwash does not care about their customers! read more
