Doesn't have a good variety of snacks. As far as gas I guess it will be okay for that & tobacco products if u want that.

Convenient location immediately off Dixie Hwy. Typical speedway setup as for gas pumps, but they…read moreare cramp close together. Stopped in to cash in some lottery tickets which was a quick process. Four people working behind the counter with few customers in line, just how it's suppose to work. Maybe I entered just after a rush or something, but the staff did seem a bit scatter brained with various alerts from machines in the store sounding an alarm.

Alright, this review is about a gas station. I am not going to rate the prices because they change…read moreby large amounts almost every day but this seems to be the norm for all the stations in this area. I mostly use this Speedway out of habit. In mid 1970s, this was a Marathon station owned by Charlie Kemp who was a friend of my parents. If I needed gas or car repairs, I could get a fair shake here. Fast forward 40 years. This Speedway is usually fairly busy all the time during the day but it is rare to have to wait for a pump to open up unless there happens to be a UTS driver convention going on. The will all park their vans at the pumps and disappear into the store for 15 or 20 minutes. The counter help is consistently friendly and helpful and cash register lines seem to move quickly. The store is acceptably clean and inviting. The updated pumps are great but the Credit Card system has been down the last couple of times that I have been there. They need to relocate the car vacuum and air dispenser. When they are in use and someone is getting gas at the adjacent pumps, they block that side of the driveway. Also, when cars are parked at the front of the store, it can be a tight squeeze trying to get through there, especially if one of the people who attempted to park did a bad job of it.

I used to frequent this Thornton's location a lot when I lived nearby and worked in the area. Now…read morethat I'm back working in the area I find myself stopping here from time to time..and not much has changed in the couple of years since I've been here. I mean, it does look like they might've done a bit of remodeling. The store has a new/fresh feeling to it that I don't quite remember it having. What really stands out to me here is the cheap price of their fountain drinks. Any size for like 70 cents I want to say..maybe 75 after tax. Getting an extra large drink for that price is pretty sweet. The employees here are always nice and friendly, and they keep the lines moving when it gets busy..pretty much all you can ask for in a gas station/convenience store.

I've been to this Thornton's once, and it still sticks with me…read more I had stopped in during the morning time for a small bottle of orange juice. However, when I saw the price of the orange juice, I opted for an Arizona (Mucho Mango) instead. I did not rate this place with a one star due to the price, because I know all gas stations charge a bundle for any thing in the store. The one star was for the person behind the counter who acted like it was hurting her to even ring me up. She scanned my Arizona, quickly put it in the bag. "Swipe your card", she said, not even looking my way. I did so and she pushed a button on her register. Without looking at me, she shoveled the bag, slightly, in my direction and didn't say another word. I wasn't sure what to make of it, except severe lack of customer service. If you need gas, or need to make a quick stop for a drink, there are other places to go. This place, honestly, should not be one of them.

I wasn't planning on reviewing this BP..I didn't even check in here because who cares? But then…read morethey screwed me over and I feel I should share my experience to warn others about what happened. So I had some extra time to kill waiting on my appointment at CarMax up the road so I decided to fill up my gas tank in the meantime. I pulled up to a pump and inserted my credit card. It asked for my cards billing zip code so I entered it and hit enter. It said it was an invalid zip code. I re-entered the zip code and pressed enter again..it again said invalid zip code. I was for sure entering the correct one so I didn't understand what was going on. I entered it one more time and waited to press enter to see if that was somehow what I was doing wrong. A message ran across the screen saying "press yes"..so I did..figuring that was what I was doing wrong. I finished pumping my gas and the receipt printed out. On the receipt I saw that I was charged for a car wash. What in the world? The machine said to press yes after I entered my zip code..saying nothing about a car wash. I was pretty fumed. I went inside to talk to the cashier about getting a refund for the unwanted car wash..and he pretty much told me there was nothing he could do about it. I explained to him what happened and he said that he understood, and that it sucked and he was sorry, but that there was nothing he could do about it since I paid through the pump. It's very hard to believe there was nothing they could do about it. CarMax always gives you a complimentary wash when you get your car checked up there..so why would I want to pay for a car wash 10 minutes before I went over there? He said I would have to take it up with my credit card company. I looked into it and it's this huge process that could take up to three months and involves having to provide all this info and do all this work to dispute the charge..and they could still deny it if they felt it wasn't what they consider a fraudulent charge. For a six dollar car wash it hardly seemed sensible to do that. So yeah..this location pretty much conned me out of $6. To add insult to injury all the gas stations that I passed the rest of the day had gas prices, on average, about 30 cents cheaper a gallon. I would say avoid this station at all costs. There are plenty other gas stations in the general vicinity that won't scam you out of a couple extra bucks just for the heck of it. The car wash is good for thirty days so you can bet your A-S-S I'll be heading back to get it at some point. And it better be the best car wash I've ever been given..seriously..it's so ridiculous. It's just six bucks but it's more about the principle of it..you know?

I literally stop at this location every single morning..very early in the morning. And the reason I…read moredo is because it's run very well and I get what I need and I'm in and out in minutes. I know this location has been around for a while, but when I started coming here back in August they were in the middle of some kind of Grand Re-opening. They had completely remodeled the place and it definitely made the place so much nicer than it used to be. They also added a 24-hour kitchen and a touch screen ordering system that makes it easy and convenient to order your food from. I have never tried any of the food here but I really should..it actually looks pretty good. What made me a frequent customer here was one of their Grand Re-Opening specials they had going..any fountain drink any size for 69 cents. I was going there sometimes multiple times a day to take advantage of this deal. When it ended drink prices went up..but not by too much. I still think it's a pretty good deal overall. If you come here a lot you really should take advantage of their frequency card. You get free stuff all the time with it..I've gotten countless free drinks and bags of chips using it. It's definitely worth taking advantage of. So yea, the staff here is great, prices are reasonable, and the place is very clean and "new-feeling". If you work in the area, or if you live nearby, I highly recommend you making this your go-to gas station/convenience store.
