Then when Abby checked me in she told me that it would be a 90 minute wait. I was a little surprised and told her that I had a 9:00 appoitment. She said that she knew but it would still be 90 minutes since they don't have an express lane like other dealers. I told her again that I was not looking for an express lane, that I had made an appoitment. She continued to insist it would be 90 minutes. I decided to wait because I had a coupon for almost 1/2 off of an oil change. At 9:45 they send me a video of my car on the lift. It still had the old filter on it so I am willing to bet my car with a 9:00 appointment sat there until 9:45 until they started working on it. My car was done at 9:10 which seemed like a reasonable amount of time for a car to get an oil change and inspection done. This again reaffirmed in my mind that my car sat 45 minutes before being worked on. Don't be fooled into thinking that having an appointment means that they are going to work on your car at that time. Don't be fooled into thinking that 4 or 5 service advisors standing at their desks doing nothing means one of them is going to call you over to work with you. I don't think I will be taking my car back there.

This happens several times a day and today one hit a goose (who in fact did NOT just jump out in front of him). Photos and video were given to the police and game warden but manager refused to answer his phone. As another business owner in the same city we were left moving the mangled flopping goose from in front of our parking lot. Thanks a lot Performance Toyota. Maybe we should box it up and bring it over to your parking lot for your customers to walk around?

So I had some extra time to kill waiting on my appointment at CarMax up the road so I decided to fill up my gas tank in the meantime. I pulled up to a pump and inserted my credit card. It asked for my cards billing zip code so I entered it and hit enter. It said it was an invalid zip code. I re-entered the zip code and pressed enter again..it again said invalid zip code. I was for sure entering the correct one so I didn't understand what was going on. I entered it one more time and waited to press enter to see if that was somehow what I was doing wrong. A message ran across the screen saying "press yes"..so I did..figuring that was what I was doing wrong. I finished pumping my gas and the receipt printed out. On the receipt I saw that I was charged for a car wash. What in the world? The machine said to press yes after I entered my zip code..saying nothing about a car wash. I was pretty fumed. I went inside to talk to the cashier about getting a refund for the unwanted car wash..and he pretty much told me there was nothing he could do about it. I explained to him what happened and he said that he understood, and that it sucked and he was sorry, but that there was nothing he could do about it since I paid through the pump. It's very hard to believe there was nothing they could do about it. CarMax always gives you a complimentary wash when you get your car checked up there..so why would I want to pay for a car wash 10 minutes before I went over there? He said I would have to take it up with my credit card company. I looked into it and it's this huge process that could take up to three months and involves having to provide all this info and do all this work to dispute the charge..and they could still deny it if they felt it wasn't what they consider a fraudulent charge. For a six dollar car wash it hardly seemed sensible to do that. So yeah..this location pretty much conned me out of $6. To add insult to injury all the gas stations that I passed the rest of the day had gas prices, on average, about 30 cents cheaper a gallon. I would say avoid this station at all costs. There are plenty other gas stations in the general vicinity that won't scam you out of a couple extra bucks just for the heck of it. The car wash is good for thirty days so you can bet your A-S-S I'll be heading back to get it at some point. And it better be the best car wash I've ever been given..seriously..it's so ridiculous. It's just six bucks but it's more about the principle of it..you know?
