They were nice and It was a pretty good looking place but their hair cuts are not that great they had me looking chopped and one of the barbers did not know what they were doing you could tell he was new to the job of being a barber so this is a don't recommend unless you want to be chopped . read more

My boyfriend and I drove over an hour just to come to this place. We called ahead of time to make sure we wouldn't interfere with anyone's schedule or availability. We got there an hour and a half before they closed. We asked if Xena could do his cut since she did a good job the last time he went. After sitting there for an hour, Zena approached us and was very much annoyed that we were there since her previous client was taking a long time. "I guess I can squeeze you in I just didn't know I had another person and now I'll have to stay later". I guess no one informed her she had one more person to cut but that's not our fault. Boyfriend told one of the barbers that would actually look in our direction that he's not picky and he would take whoever's available and the barbers words were "well I don't want to be here later either" We got up and left at that point. Total waste of time especially since we're coming from out of town. Bad customer service and just straight up rude and unorganized. Clearly no communication between their staff. This place is a joke! Burned my son's ears to the point of being blistered by the time we got home. When they took my son to the chair, all I could hear was total thug music playing with curse words & degrading females. Definitely not what I expected to walk into. Then when I went to pay I handed the man who cut my son's hair a $2 tip & expected to pay $16 as posted for kid's haircut however he said since I'm using my debit card, there is a $2 fee. $20 for this?!? When I asked why they replied because they are charged. Whatever, I should of went with my 1st instinct & walked out right when we walked in. Totally unprofessional! The barber Josh in the back right corner looked and acted like he was on drugs. Most of the staff here is great; however Josh ruined my experience and I am unsure if I will be coming back. After waiting an hour for josh I decided to see someone else- when sitting down with other barber josh approached me and asked for my name so he would "know not to cut my hair in the future." His exact words. His coworker apologized to me after Josh went ok break. It's obvious the guy is under lthe influence of Xanax bars or something. I was confused bc the first time I had Josh- he did a good job and we had good conversation. This place is great just avoid Josh he is extremely unprofessional and rude. His coworker also said he thinks he "takes bars." Still gave the girl 10$ tip who cut my hair- she did a good job. Hate to give this place bad review however the people must know! read more

Decent place to get a haircut. Music and television selection seems "chumpish". Terrible check in and wait process. Cuts start at $20. They claim walk ins are the way to get a haircut, however, they will book appointments without telling clients waiting. My best advice, go to Daniels Barbershop about a mile and a quarter down the road. Great price (they fully support military) great cuts. read more

Yooooooo! This is the most professional, urban like barber shop I've found in Conroe. What do I mean by professional? Big screen sports? Urban? Jamming 97.9 and the other hip hop station (I forgot the name). The sign-in sheet actually has a dude working the desk AND sticking to the order! Clientele was mixed but mostly black/brown people so we felt comfortable that the cuts would be appropriate. Barbers? OMG. It's like 7 barbers on a Saturday, black, brown, white, women, men, young, old, gangsta, clean cut, it is bonkers how diverse the barbers are! My son rolled with Anna. She was fast, paid attention, asked HIM questions and checked with me, ol' Daddy. He needed some serious "fixing" to his hairline from wearing a headband too doggone much. She did a fantastic job! I had 2 daughters with me and none of the inside conversations got too loud or too adult-ish either. The prices start at $20 but for the speed, efficiency, professional and cultural diversity, even my CHEAP tail felt it was WELL worth it. Everytime I book an appointment here its always some extra stuff. Never get a hair cut by the person i scheduled for because they are always running behind. Whats the point in booking slots online if the barber can never hold up his end of the appointment.Its been like that the last three times I been. Someone else ends up seeing me sitting there and volunteering to cut my hair. I sit 20 to 30 minutes past my appointment time everytime. I was looking for a barber since I had just moved states I'm very picky with who cuts my hair anyway I go into this barber shop got a haircut and actually Liked it i had booked an appointment and told me it would be $25 so they charge me $27 I didn't mind since I liked the haircut. Second time coming in I completely disliked the haircut keep in mind this was the same barber from the first time they charged me $32 I was mind blown! I have gone here many times service is hit and miss. Barbers are hit or miss. A third of them spend more time on their phone and can barely manage a beard trim. The other two Thirds can cut hair but only half of those have people skills. And I don't think I have ever paid the same amount twice. The last time I was there the girl charged me almost double what I paid the time before. Anna is great though if you go here I would recommend her. read more

If I could give this place a negative star rating I would. Walked in, sort of feeling weird about the place. Gave off weird vibes are everyone looked at me and my boyfriend as if we were crazy for walking in. Whatever, we sit down and sign in. My boyfriend signs in for a haircut and I signed in to get my eyebrows done. Mind you, this was our first time coming in. Long story short, we asked for someone who spoke Spanish so that we could explain the haircut and were ignored and given a white girl. She didn't use a blade to do my boyfriends edges correctly. He left with burns and red all around his hairlines. Next day has scars from the electric razor. The lady left his sideburns uneven, and when my boyfriend corrected her, she just said "sorry". If he wouldn't have triple checked, it would've been left like that. Looks like they hire ransoms off the street. Unprofessional and seems like the owner doesn't care. We walked out before they could do my eyebrows because I didn't even want to waste my time or money. $20 plus we left a $10 tip. Horrible place with overpriced everything. Slow. This is not your traditional barber shop. They need to rename this place "Mike Hair Stylists". If you want a regular haircut, do not come here. If you need to get a haircut in less than 2 hours, go elsewhere. One "barber?" has been working on the same man's short hair for over half an hour, and I can't tell that he cut a single hair. Mike's Barber Shop is a great place to get your haircut. I should know because I just got my haircut today there. My expectations were seriously blown away. I've been living in Conroe, TX for 6 months and I have finally found my barber shop. Previously I was going to Tomball, TX to get my haircut but that just didn't work out for me after my 2nd time going there. My haircut was left just awful. So I grew my hair yet again and finally today I just couldn't take it anymore and I drove down to Mike's Barber Shop. Immediately when I walked in it is a nice clean environment. Great HD TV while you wait for your haircut so that's a plus for me. You can also watch TV while your getting your haircut. They accept walk ins and appointments as well. My haircut was done by a gentleman by the name of Rolando and let me tell you he has great talent. Mike the owner himself has great talent as well. Basically any barber you go to will leave your hair great. Nice and blended in (faded look) or just any type of hairstyles you prefer. I will be going back to Mike's Barber Shop in the very near future...! Prices are reasonable and best of all they accept credit cards as well! A+ for me. What I liked the most was that towards the end of my haircut my barber Rolando passed a straight edge blade to give that nice clean sharp look around my entire hairline. I didn't even ask for that he just did it and that seriously blew me away because I was so use to that back when I lived in Queens, New York.
