The shop is roomy, always very clean, offers waters to customers, the staff is friendly and loves to chat with customers about a variety of topics. The boardroom salon is convenient for me. I typically get a haircut and shave (precision line up)…read moreonce per week. So the membership option was fantastic for me. If i need a haircut beyond my once a week or if I want to stop in everyday for a haircut, it's all under my membership. The Woodlands location had only one barber/stylist (Sabrina P), that could taper or fade appropriately... but the manager has hired someone else with the skills to handle textured hair (that's code for ethnic hair - Black or Latino). Again, the convenience of having a set appointment and knowing exactly when you will start and finish is a big plus for me, along with the membership that allows me to get as many haircuts as I want, whenever I want, is a huge draw. With any place, some barbers/stylist are better then others, but I know Sabrina P is in the "Best of the Best" category, regardless of hair or preferred style.

To my surprise, American Express notified me yesterday (Labor Day, no less) of a $499 pending charge and asked me to confirm I approved it. I did not, so they blocked the charge. When I called today, I was met with scripted responses repeatedly stating that I had agreed to automatic renewal indefinitely. After requesting a manager, I received the same scripted response, with no flexibility or attempt to resolve the issue. For context: I have been a loyal member for almost five years, bringing my son in twice a month as well. I intended to extend my membership for a year, not be forced into a six-month auto-renewal without notification. Their response was essentially: "We'll continue to charge your card or you'll have a balance." Um...no...American Express already blocked the charge due to lack of authorization. This entire experience from lack of notice to unhelpful staff demonstrates poor management and zero effort in customer retention. It's disappointing to see a long-time member treated this way. Goodbye, Boardroom. Clearly, customer service and loyalty are not a priority here.
