I had seen the reviews for this barbershop and I was pretty hyped about getting to try them out. When I went in, it looked like a very cool place and it had an old school feel, something that I really liked. When it was time to actually get the haircut, the barber that cut my hair was goofing around with a few of the other barbers and would stop every 5 seconds to goof around some more (which in my opinion is a bit unprofessional but that's just me) overall maybe I just need to try a different barber or keep looking for a bother place where I can get a haircut and not worry if they'll mess up my hair. read more

This barber shop looks really cool, and my older son got a decent haircut. He has thick, straight hair, which seems to be what they specialize in cutting. The hair stylist that cut my young sons hair didn't seem to know what she was doing at all with his curly hair. I asked for her to just trim it, that we like the curls. These guys are by far the best barbers I've ever been to. I've been going to their location on Aldine Westfield for like a year now and now they've opened this location on Riley Fuzzell right off the Grand Parkway. The owner, Vinny, usually cuts my hair, but I've had a cut done by Mike in the past as well. All his employees are top notch at what they do and the place has a cool atmosphere. I generally get a bald fade from these guys and I've never walked out disappointed in the quality of their work. They're just getting going at this location as the tile etc isn't completely done, but if you want to look sharp or want to treat your son to a nice haircut, this is the place! I recommend you make an appointment, as they were super booked up at the other location, but they do take walk-ins and everyone working there is talented. read more

New in town and was looking for a "real" barbershop, nothing with the word "salon " in the name. My husband is a former Marine with a flat top haircut which apparently is a dying style as none of the younger generation knows how to do that cut. At least the salons I called were honest when I asked if they could do it. Vinny's is a man's shop without being too manly for me to sit there and watch as my husband got his flat top. Great cut! This is a great barber shop. We came early and didn't have to wait long. Our wait was probably like 5 minutes. I would suggest making an appointment because of course it fills up a Saturday morning. My son came in for his first haircut. The young man who cut his hair was Juan. I showed him a picture and he and I discussed what would be best for him, based on how this his hair was and it being his first time. Juan cut both my son and my husband's hair. Juan was very patient with my son(my husband called him the baby whisperer)and gentle. The owner Vinny is also very professional and kind. He greets all customers that come in and he is never rude. My missus found this place, and it's super close to our house. We were looking to get our toddlers second haircut, and the reviews were top notch here, even for the wee ones. Decided to stop by on our way to the zoo, but it was a little busy, and we made an appointment for later that same day. We were greeted by Vinny as soon as we walked in, and he was very welcoming. When we came back later, he remember us, and informed us that my little man would be next up. I came with instructions from home, ha! I showed him some ideas and he took it and did an excellent job. My little has been wanting a big boy haircut. We've tried several places but it usually looks like he cut his own hair. He does have curly/straight hair and a cowlick on the top of his head. Ive been searching for a while trying to find a barber who can cut my hair the way I want and Vinny is that guy. Hes very welcoming and genuine. They have a bunch of different packages for you to choose from. You can go in for a regular cut or you can get the experience, which has its own special chair and grooming treatment. This place is a nice little drive for me but my experience was so good that I'd make that drive anyday. Also the place is very clean and well kept. If you have to wait for a bit before you get into the chair there is a sports grill a few doors down that has pretty good food just incase you get hungry. Found Vinny's barbershop online through a group I'm part of. Messaged him about prices and etc & he quickly responded. I'm looking for a home barbershop so I can take my 3 boys often. Being a single mom I'm always intimidated because I'm not familiar with the language, size and etc. Vinny and his group definitely made the experience great. My boys were comfortable but I was also very comfortable. They talked me through what was happening so I could know for the future - I also loved that they did the haircut to their liking making sure it was perfect. Haircut was pretty good, but I got a straight shave and the barber shredded my face. I have gotten one before and never had this problem, upon completion I went to the restroom and realized I was bleeding from multiple spaces on my cheeks, chin and neck. My face burns and has small scabs, don't get your straight razor done here, wish I didn't. read more
