The staff created an easy-going environment. Quality: 5 The quality of the repair is impeccable. My car was rear-ended and the hatchback was completely smashed in. When I got my car back, it was as if the car was entirely brand new. The paint job was well done too. It seemed like they even touched up my car too because the inside was dust-free, and the outside sparkled! Service: 5 I loved that the shop kept me updated about the repair via text. It also included a link where I can see photos of how the repair is going too. It makes me feel like the car is being worked on with care. I was able to see the inside damage and how it was being repaired. They updated me with the completion date too. I was worried that the experience was going to be confusing because I claimed the damage against the offender's insurance. It seems like the shop was used to dealing with insurance so they knew exactly how to guide me, and I was really happy with the entire experience. I expected a lot of stress with the process but it really wasn't stressful at all. I did have some trouble with timing since I am a teacher and I was working during their work hours so drop off / pick up times were tricky to maneuver for me. When my Camaro got rear-ended I was upset to say the least. I asked around a bit because I wanted to get the repairs done properly. Mike's was recommended as the 'perfectionists' and boy did they perform! They dissected the damage down to the last detail and made sure that everything that was damaged got fixed. They did a great job of communicating with me and handling the insurance issues. As an added bonus, some free advice form Ed saved me almost $200 that the insurance company wanted to charge me! Over the summer I brought my car into Mike's following a car accident. This was not an easy fix as the airbag had deployed, the radiator was cracked, and essentially the entire front end of the body had to be replaced. This was my second experience working with Ed. Ed and his team are professional, detail oriented and truly care about their customers. When I initially went to get an estimate with Mike's, they told me I needed an appointment, but the damage (a small dent on my passenger door) would be around $1,200 - $1,400. I went to get 2 more estimates before making an appointment with Mike's. The first estimate was $850, and the second was $990. When I went to Mike's I saw the man looking at places I didn't think was neccesary, and his response was "I know what I'm talking about," and in my experience with auto body techs, when someone is saying that, they're trying to rip me off. The result of the estimate, over $3,200. Not sure where that extra $2,200 came from, but I highly suggest exploring other options before going to Mike's. read more

I had my roof repainted under factory warranty (recall) when it started to cloud up on me and turn cancerous looking. We took our Honda Civic to Mike's Auto Body in New Brunswick for a paint job. Ed Janovsky is the best. Although he was extremely busy, he was able to get our car done within a few days. We got the car back looking like new. The paint job was perfect and the car was washed and clean. They texted us when the car was ready to be picked up and everyone there, including the receptionist was pleasant and professional. Open Road Honda had suggested we go there since it was a recall. An idiot rear ended my 04 Honda Accord coupe. My bro recommended this this auto body shop to me, BEST DECISION EVER. They kept me on notice every step of the way on the status of my car; when the part was ordered, arrival of the part, when painting began, est time of completion etc. when I got my car back a week later, I could not be any more pleased with result. The back of my car looks like it just came off of the Honda assembly line. Finally found an auto body shop I can trust, they will have my business again (cause let's face it, this is Jersey and idiots love to drive ) FYI my car was damaged before by another idiot who hit it while trying to parallel park (I did say this was Jersey right?) I took my car to this shop on Woodbridge ave borderline edison and highland park. Worst decision ever, these ppl didn't even bother to blend the paint in. Lesson of this story? I was driving along I-95 on my way to Florida when something big and metal fell from underneath a truck in front of me, resulting in a gaping hole underneath the chassis from the driver's side to the passenger's side in the back. Upon returning to N.J. my Honda dealer recommended Mike's Auto Body. I'm in a panic at my dealer's recommendation because I have EXTREME ALLERGIES and only one mechanic at Honda has ever been in and worked on my car. I called Mike's and spoke with Ed (very nice man). I explained my situation to him and I was assured that the right person (being pet free, smoke free and basically "free" of stuff) would work on my car. He also explained that the work which was to be done would be very smelly because of the chemicals in the products being used. Great care was taken to ensure that the inside of my car wouldn't be contaminated. The seats were removed and, with the exception of the area being worked on, EVERYTHING was SEALED off! After the work was completed the car was towed to my driveway. I haven't driven it as yet as there is still a slight odor (through no fault of ANYONE; I'm that allergic!) and I must wait for it to completely dissipate. The work was exceptional, done swiftly and the price was reasonable. I would ABSOLUTELY use Mike's Auto Body and highly recommend it to others! Thank you so much for such great customer service! I had the most horrible experience at this terrible excuse for an auto body shop. I dropped my car off to get a bumper cover fixed due to an accident. My trunk also became stuck due to the accident. Mike's had the car for 11 days and in those 11 days all they did was cause even more damage to my car. They couldn't open the trunk, broke a tail lamp, dented the trunk and left it with tool marks because they thought it would be a good idea to try to pry the trunk open. They said the ONLY other way to get it open was to cut a hole through the side panel which would cost thousands more. I got Milltown Liberty to pick up my car from Mike's Auto Body because I seeked advice elsewhere and they got my trunk open in one minute with a broom stick through the back seat. Just like that. The people at Mike's are incompetent and don't know how to do their job. The Mike's employee, Rich, who was updating me while my car was there didn't even say anything or get up from behind his computer to speak to me when I went to confront him. The owner didn't even have the decency to pay for the damages they caused or even apologize for what they had done. And on top of that they had the nerve to charge $154 for "the job." DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. It doesn't even deserve one star. read more

These guys are the real deal. They are professional and thorough. I know how body shops can cheat....sometimes without getting caught. After having myself and family members use them 4 times, I'm convinced they'll get all my business. Repairs were done properly, and when I did have problems with insurance -specified aftermarket parts, these guys fought to get OEM products to replace them under the insurance companies warranty coverage-in other words , no cost to me. read more
