My husband and two dogs and I had arrived in the area for a few days away. We woke up on the first…read moremorning to find a screw in our tire, which had leaked a lot of air. Fortunately we had an electronic tire pump, so we were able to get to a tire place. I picked Gary's based on reviews and location. I was beyond impressed! They were friendly as heck and had our car in and out in about 25 minutes. We just took the dogs and walked over to a nearby coffee shop and had some coffee. We walked back and the car was done! And it was a good job--we went on to check out many places from Evergreen State to Point Defiance in Tacoma, feeling safe and secure the whole time. We are back home and all is dandy. I HIGHLY recommend Gary's for personal, friendly, and FAST work. Now I need to make those cookies I promised them...and send them! Oh--and there was no charge! Hence the promise of homemade shortbread cookies!

I went in with a nail in my tire, and they repaired it within 30 minutes. I was originally quoted $30, but when I tried to pay, I was waved away. A big fear with auto repair places is that they will try to take advantage of you with unnecessary repairs, hidden fees, or overcharging services, especially for women. That is NOT the case for this place! I will absolutely be coming back for any and all service my car will need in the future, and when it is time to replace my tires, I'll be back here as well!

First, for service I rate them 5 stars. But for sales that's a different story…read more I spent 2 hours there looking to trade my tundra for a new one. It was an arranged appointment yet the person who I was to meet briefly shook hands and then never saw him again. They tried to convince me longbed tundras all have the 32 gal gas tanks which was a blatant lie. I own one and that's what I'm looking to change! First guy tried to sell me a truck for rediculous price wasting my time and not familiar with the options available. We will check our inventory they said...1/2 hr would pass and then I get yet another employee. Must have been passed around to half dozen by time I was done. And then his manager came and repeated the lie. He says well I'll go check the specs. Never saw him again. Finally the sales manager took over and dropped price another 10k below what the first sales guy claimed they couldn't go below. That finally got my interest because it's actually a really good deal. But then comes the next problem. After taking like 20 minutes for appraisal he shows me Kelly BB supposed valuation that's 1-6k less than the actual Kelly BB value and 6k less than Edmund's trading value. And of course kbb is often less than real market value too esp for trucks. I'm fine with them needing to make a profit I get that. Just don't lie to me. Just tell me they can pay market rate and apologize. Be kind - hmm that's Chehalis Toyota. Andy their sale tax is 1% less. I prefer buying local but sucks when they don't treat you right.

My husband and I came in to purchase a Rav4. We did a short test drive and decided to purchase it…read more Noel assisted us and was no nonsense and efficient and we settled on a price. Once we moved to the finance department, things changed. The guy helping was nice UNTIL we told him we didn't want to purchase the extended warranty. He then became abrupt and rude with us. It was night and day in the way he treated us. It was very off putting and bizarre seeing we were spending thousands of dollars on a new car. We had personalized plates we wanted transferred to the new car and they were unsure they could do that (yes, a dealership can transfer them and I have had it done several times before) - I felt like they were being lazy. I called a few days after buying the car to talk to the guy in charge of licensing to make sure they were handling it because if not it I could lose my personalized plate and pay more to go back in and register my vehicle again. I never received a call back after leaving numerous messages and even driving in to leave a note for him. Anyway, fast forward a few weeks. The Rav was extremely uncomfortable, gutless, there was a draft by my leg, it had road noise and essentially I hated it. I am pretty sure the seats were made from hard cardboard. I went back into the dealership to try to find a solution and their solution was to purchase a much more expensive car. No, thanks. I ended up trading the Rav in for a Honda CRV at a local dealership 18 days later. I am SO MUCH HAPPIER with my Honda, it is a high quality car and is very comfortable to drive. They treated us very nicely at Honda and were super efficient registering my car and ensuring I got my personalized plates without any hassle. They gave me a much better finance rate and they didn't push anything extra on us and were still professional when we said no to the extended warranty. Funnier still, a month later I never received a call back from the licensing guy but I did get a call from someone there to come pick up my new license plates (for the Rav I no longer owned). Guess what? They weren't my personalized plates. So, essentially they blew me off and in the end I would have had to pay an extra 90.00 and take a trip to DMV to get my personalized plates because they couldn't be bothered to do the easy paperwork that dealers do to transfer the plate. Honda was easily able to make the transfer and I have my personalized plates on my new Honda CRV. All in all, I can't recommend Toyota.
