I'm just learning the 2022 Honda civic I bought from Mike smith Honda was involved in accident I found this out when I was thinking about selling it and community Honda of Baytown informed me the carfax showed an accident I thought that was their way of low balling me but same thing happened again at Honda cars of rockwall a few months ago when I look at carfax it doesn't show but today I had carvana give me a price quote on my car they also said showing accident. Since Mike smith Honda is no longer in business and doggett Honda owns them where would I start in recovering any damages in a misrepresentation situation?? Went in to get regular maintenance oil change and filter. I usually go out of town for service and get free car wash each time with service. I asked service clerk, Ms. Wheeler about car wash. She said no problem it would be a minute. I was only expecting a drive thru wash, My car came back with full detail wash (tires armor-all, vacuum, windows wiped etc. Also the general manager Mr. Wiltz politely greeted all customers waiting for service. I brought my car in for the passenger airbag recall. The work was performed, but the mechanic put several scratches on my dashboard. I brought it to the service writer's attention and asked for an "acceptable repair." I wasn't asking for a new dashboard, just something acceptable because my dashboard was immaculate. Well, they offered four free oil changes. No!!! I was told that they would get back to me with the company they use. No phone call. No follow-up. I called in to follow-up. No return phone call. Now, the airbag light is on again and I'm wondering if it was really repaired or updated, or whatever was supposed to be done. If I could give these guys a zero for service, they would get it. read more

Engine in Honda van was making a noise brought it into the service department. Timing belts had to be replaced after being told they were on backorder. Well they started out great by getting me a loaner car and finding alternative replacement part kit. After 10 days in shop and just driving it from the dealership to the house the vans power steering is now shot. I think the power steering pump was also replaced. I called and was offered no resolution other than they'll have to run another diagnostic test on it. I was also told they test drove the vehicle with no issues, but the odometer reading is the same, they didn't drive it anywhere. I also understand that this problem doesn't manifest unless the RPMs are over 2000. How is this not negligence and theft? read more

The service manager, Ashley was being rude and vicious. She kept giving me rude looks and rolling her eyes every time I spoke. I also heard some cursing, it sounded like people were fighting. The other service lady was sweating a lot, but she was kind. I am appalled by the atmosphere in the building. I thought I could get a quick and easy oil change, but I was so wrong. My experience at Mike Smith Honda was great!!! Steve was the best, he didn't try and push a car on me I didn't want. I was on a tight budget and he worked with it! I got there around 4:30pm and was on my way home in my new car around 7pm! I had shopped at another Honda dealership before I came here and wasn't happy with their way of trying to make me happy. I was paying cash and had a certain amount and the other dealership constantly tried to get me to do a "small loan". I talked to the Manager of all the lots Mr. Lejune don't know how to pronounce his name. He was worse, telling me that he does not hire people who are dishonest. News flash, they are all rude in Mike Smith Honda especially the one black guy. He walked around the whole room going from each person talking about me wanting a refund from Resistal. We are shopping for a new car. We went in and after seating us, the salesman went away for 15 minutes, while we waited. We did a test drive and then waited another 10 minutes before he could give us a price. The price he gave us was the sticker price. They didn't bargain at all. Then we asked for the "ball park" price on the same car with less features. He went away again, and after 10 minutes we went looking for him. He was sitting with the manager just talking. When we told them we were not happy that the price was so high, the manager got defensive, and insulting. We wouldn't buy a car from this dealership at ANY price! read more

I bought a new 2013 accord trading in a 2011 because of parts falling off The over inflated literally balding rep treated me like he was doing me a favor. He treated me like a child and talked down to me .During the test drive and showing me how to use bluetooth he became agitated and raised his voice I told him not to say another word tc me and take me back to the dealership. My husband took over and when I came back from errands I owned the 13 and they gave me practically nothing for my trade in and it ran great. I purchased a pre-owned 2017 Honda CRV EX with 78,000 miles on it from Mike Smith Honda on January 27, 2021. When I sat down with the salesman to make the deal, I asked that the pin-stripe stickers be removed during the initial detailing. He agreed. When I brought it back a week later to have it done, they returned my car to me in 20 mins with the stickers removed, but the imprint of them permanently etched into my paint. This is due to the removal being done incorrectly, obviously in a rush. I still have to look at the scratches every day. A week after that, so two weeks into owning the vehicle, we had a rainstorm. I noticed the next morning that my headlights were full of condensation. When buying the car I was talked into spending my last 2,000 dollars of financing on a warranty, and since leaky headlights sounds like something that should be taken care of through a warranty, I contacted Mike Smith Honda to inform them of it. After another week of many failed attempts to reach the salesman and no call back, I was left with no choice but to drive up to the dealership and ask to speak with someone. I first spoke with Rick (not sure of last name) who immediately and rudely informed me that this is not covered in my warranty and shot me down, telling me there is absolutely nothing they can do and that I am welcome to pay the nearly 900 dollars to have them replaced through their service department. As you can imagine, I wasn't happy with his attitude nor his answer, so I asked for someone else. I was directed to Chris Jenkins who is the general manager of Mike Smith Honda. I explained my situation, and instead of even trying to sympathize, he informed me that my car, being a 2017 model with over 70,000 miles, makes it "technically a six year old car" and he also threw in there that "people buy USED cars because they DON'T HAVE ALOT OF MONEY and it's a cheaper option." He was right about one thing, I in fact don't have a lot of money and I went to buy a pre-owned Honda in hopes that it would last me for many years to come. At the end of the very demeaning conversation, he agreed to cover half the cost of the headlight replacements. Unfortunately, that is still around 450 dollars, which is nearly 2 months worth of my car payment. So alas, I have to keep the faulty headlights on the new-to-me car that I'll be paying on for the next 5 years and hope they don't short out before I can afford to have them fixed. As for my experience at Mike Smith Honda, it has been stressful to say the least. I'm not here to try to destroy their business, just stating facts. My suggestion, if you absolutely have to buy from them, make sure and run it through a car wash on your test drive to ensure nothing is leaking, because you'll be stuck with the bill. read more

Terrible dealership, I would never shop here! My girlfriend had a separate offer with a Toyota dealership to trade her truck in and wanted to see what Honda might have to offer. This dealership is not what it used to be when my grandfather was a manger there and it's sad to see. They ran us through multiple people through email i also told them there was a small balance on the truck. They called me multiple times through different people until finally another guy called saying they could match the deal we had with Toyota. Once i reiterated the left over balance that changed quick. They force on a waste of money pro pack which i was told before i could refuse. Once i told him to just take that off and call it even, all of the sudden that wasn't an offer and they needed money. I told them if that's the case I'll just go with the corolla and i guess that wound him up a but. He began to argue with me about how corollas are not what civics are and i would be missing out on resale value. That is a complete mistruth because corollas have some of the best if not the best resale value on the market for compact cars. Once i threw that at him he went on a tangent about how he works at a dealership like he knows better than me. By the way working at a dealership means nothing all you're doing is trying to sell a product that doesn't mean you know how that specific vehicle will compare to another in the future. It makes sense seeing every other one star review on here how terrible this dealership is now. read more

Mike Smith Honda is the worst Honda dealership I have ever taken my Honda to. I recently got out of the military and was traveling from Mississippi to Texas. I hit a massive rock in the middle of the interstate and needed my tire replaced along with an inspection of all the tires and anything else like might have been wrong with the car to insure my car would be able to travel the rest of the way. Kady was my service assistant and her customer service was EXTREMELY poor. I asked her multiple times if she could have the mechanics take a look at everything on my car to make sure it was okay to drive. They replaced one of my tires and my rim and they "assured" me that my car was safe to drive. I picked up my car and started my 5 hour trip back home to Mississippi and not even an hour into my trip I heard something scraping the road when I would hit a bump and got an alert saying my tire pressure was low. Shortly after, I was on the side on the interstate with another blown out tire.. If my car would have been properly serviced (like I requested) my tire would have not blown out. I tried to reach the service manager at Mike Smith Honda multiple times and even left voicemails for him to return my calls and he never did. Avoid this dealership at all costs if you are able to! read more

I was looking at buying an cat for me. I ended up at this dealership, and I saw a car I like. The lady was helping me keep asking me, "So, are you ready to make a purchase today?" three times. It's becoming really annoying, because she makes me feel like I'm poor and I can't afford the car. When she gives me a invoice, but the price was overpriced. The invoice was around $29K and I asked to lower the price to $25K. Manager came over and he started to yelling at me, "I know this was coming! This is ridiculous! I can't sell the car at that price." He was talking with his mouth full of chips, and eating his chips in front of me. The way they was talking and making angry face at me was unacceptable. I was like What the in my mind. What a customer service and you are the manager? Just Wow. I was happy to pay around $28K for the car, but after that customer service. I just left and I will never come back to that place. Yelling at customers, talking with food in your mouth, making customers feel poor, and eating in front of a customer. My Honda CRV was purchased here. I had a check engine light on and wanted to know why. Went with an appointment. had been told it would take about an hour. NO REPAIRS! After over an hour, I asked how much longer and was told it can take 2 hours for diagnostic check. After 3.5 hours I was not happy and they knew it. It ended up taking 4 hours just to find out what was wrong. Before leaving I complained to service department manager. He gave excuses but never once apologized.
