Worst experience ever for my son, a first-time car buyer! The day my son signed papers with the dealership, his car that was just purchased from Doggett was hit in the parking lot by one of their employees. He literally backed into his car and damaged it. My son called me as soon as it happened and I heard their employee apologize and admit that it was totally his fault and that he would take care of it. Well, of course he hasn't so my husband went to the dealership to try and get this resolved and the GM acted as if there was nothing he could do, which would be understandable had their employee not been in uniform, on their clock and in their parking lot! They've offered no help whatsoever, not even an apology! This is very disheartening due to the fact that this is my son's very first car purchase that he obtained with his own funds and excellent credit that he worked hard to attain. We are also long-time customers and have purchased several cars from your dealership, but this will most likely be the last purchase you'll receive from our family as well as other associates who do business with you all. Can't seem to Get my wife's car repaired properly...2018 kicks..has been in service too many times...costing me more than a new car just for supposedly repairs...picked up the car...1day later...same problems..neighbors suggest I go to Donaldson in silsbee to let them look at it...we scared to drive it past Beaumont..$3593.00 is more than a trade in for repairs..I hope we are not getting cheated by your mechanics..One of my kin folk is an Attorney who wants to investigate I like dealing with Ms Taylor or Mr Anthony.in Beaumont..but this has got to stop...especially when we only got one vehicle...hopefully we can resolve this..before It gets worst!..I read some of the reviews for Nissan service..and some of them was not Nice!!!.Will see you guys soon,hopefully!!! read more

Not at all pleased with Mike Smith Nissan service department. They have had my Rogue for an entire week and have not done anything. It was just in for routine maintenance and an axle boot replacement. The lack of communication is unacceptable. Only updates I got is when I have called to check. Now it is on the rack disassembled and I am forced to leave it till completion. I will not return to this service department and will share my experience with friends and family. Just a follow up after getting my Rogue back and my reply to the Service Manager. Thank you for taking the time and addressing my review. Now that I have the Rogue back I have some serious concerns regarding the work your shop did. I'm still not happy with the work preformed for the price paid. It is not OEM quality work or any Nissan quality that I have seen. I have included pictures regarding these issues. I await your response to a solution on this issue. Issue 1 - Lug nuts were torqued to way over 150 ft. pounds, way beyond 95 lb. spec that Nissan requires Picture 1 - Old carter key reused and broken off... Picture 2 - Sway bar linkage not reattached. Safety Hazzard Picture 3 - ABS cabling not reattached in OEM location Picture 4 - Hose style clamp were used and not proper OEM banding Picture 5 - Axle grease slung everywhere under the finder and suspension. Made a appointment to get my key fob reprogrammed. Was told that I need to come with the tow truck in order to show proof of my ownership before they can reprogram the car. After getting my car towed to Mike Smith in time for my appointment, I was told that it would take 3-5 days to even look at it. I thought they were joking and asked if she was serious and was told that if that's too long that I could take my car with me again (a car that doesn't start because it won't recognize the key). I asked what kind of proof they want to see for ownership and i was told that they only need to cross check my phone number. The whole trip was unnecessary for me. So forced to leave it there I spent the next 5 days trying to figure out if my car has even been looked at. After literally hours on hold and feeling like I'm in a twilight zone (funny cause their holding music is from the twilight saga movie and an assault to every ear) I was either hung up on, told that it's still in line or that somebody would call me back, which never happened. Today after over an hour of Twilight music in my ear again and them hanging up on me again I finally requested to speak to the manager. Matt was nice and friendly and tried to help. Poor guy didn't know how aggravated I already was. Now he needed my approval to diagnose the board computer, which I thought I already gave 5 days ago. The $300 diagnostic program may or may not reveal that the key fob needs to be reprogrammed. We shall see when I will actually get to see my car again or whether they will give me a call tomorrow. Another minute on this hold music and I will need an anger management class. Update #1: Day 6 - of course nobody called. I'll give it 15 more minutes before I dive back into holding lines at Mike Smith Nissan. Guess I'll have to keep writing updates.- Alright, this time I didn't even wait that long on hold. Matt actually called me right back just now to give me an update. Matt, if you read this..I like you dude and I'm sorry you have to suffer dealing with me. I will bring you cookies if we ever get this done. Update #2: Day 8 - After 2 hours diagnostic time MSN obviously found out that the steering lock is damaged. A part that had a recall until 2020. The good news per MSN is that it's not much labor and would fall under my 2 hour diagnostic time. The bad news though is that the part costs 1300$, which is by the way 3x as much as the same part at Autoparts. On day 7 they obviously forgot to call me back. It's day 8 now and I'm trying to reach my friend Matt again but he's not in the office yet. Come on Matt, let's get to work again. Final update: Wish I could have changed my recommendation after this mess gets sorted out. I called a 5th time and got my former friend Matt on the phone. He was so excited for me to find the part cheaper and offered to install my cheaper part for only two more hours labor. I denied and asked for them to just start my car for me so that I could drive it home and do it myself. I have to give it to them, they actually did start it for me and I was nearly impressed that something worked out for the first time. I would have changed my review to something better. But then I met my friend Matt who obviously read my review and was mad. He tried to make a point by showing me his three offices and that he'd be there all day. Dude, I didn't even question that. He was visibly upset and just tried to be smartassy friendly. How I know? I speak sarcasm fluently also. Thankfully the female mechanic seemed to be competent. I paid the bill that was not like Matt said "slightly under $300" but rather nearly $400. But I didn't care anymore. I hope the mechanic will get the extra money. Matt tried to put the blame on me by saying that he had to wait for me to make a decision. Again, no dude, I called right back but nobody answered the phone anymore. The next day I left messages for you and you haven't called back. Who are you trying to fool? So final summary: - it took you guys 6 days to even get to the car. - it took you guys 2 hours labor time to figure out a problem that you were well aware of cause the part was recalled - you tried to tripple charge on a part - you tried to charge me four hours of labor work for a 15 min amateur fix - if you don't want to get bad reviews then don't try to f$$& your customers over! read more

Was shopping for a vehicle sorry several hours with sales department. It was a Saturday and was extremely interested in a vehicle and wanted to buy. Became to late on a Saturday evening so couldn't get back approved at the hour of the day. Butt salesman and manager were extremely confident about approval for loan. They stated process could be completed Monday morning. Tried calling Monday morning and salesman refused to answer phone manger was constantly at lunch. And later find out they did the vehicle I wanted to someone else. No one ever returned phone call or even tried to contact us about the vehicle and what happened!!! Twin City Nissan Mike Smith Nissan If I could give ZERO (0) stars I would! I purchased a brand-new truck on 04/10/2020 at a hefty cost of $68,731.50. This included a factory and extended warranty. On 08/07/2020 @ 8:00 AM my warning light illuminated on the dashboard indicating there was a exhaust filter issue. By 10:00 AM on the same day (08/07/2020) I arrived at the dealership where Mike Brady greeted me. I was told to take pictures of the error on the dash and he (Mike) would get with the head mechanic when he had time and then get back with me. Mike indicated the vehicle was okay to drive. On 08/12/2020 Mike (5 days later) Mike called to inform me stating Twin City Nissan did not have a qualified mechanic to diagnose, work on and/or correct the issue with my brand-new vehicle. I was then referred to Mike Smith Nissan at 1515 I-10 S Beaumont TX 77701. The following day 08/13/2020 I reached out to Mike Smiths. Could not even get in until 08/21/2020. I was told by service advisor vehicle would be okay to drive. After 3 hours of sitting and waiting I was basically told it was not covered under the factory or extended warranty. Neither dealership offered any resolution. There was no offer for a loner, there was no offers to cover defects under warranty and their customer service was terrible. How you going to purchase a nearly $70,000 vehicle, factory warranty, extended warranty, and a brand-new vehicle and no one will warranty. Absolutely the worse customer service ever. I recently purchased a used truck from Mike Smith Nissan. it was late on a Saturday night. I was told by the sales team the truck had been ran through their shop and everything worked. I was told by my salesperson that the truck had a Mykey issue and the speed was limited, but they would take care of it. I drive the truck home and found out that the radio didn't work. I call my salesman the first of the week and he said he was off and would look into it for me. he called me back 3-4 days later and said the truck was sold "AsIs" and he was sorry, but the dealership won't help. sappointed!! The Technicians can be VERY lazy. Two incidents leads me to this conclusion. The most recent incident was a tire issue. I purchased four tires w/warranty earlier this year 2020. My tire light came on, I put air in them and within days the light was back on leading me to believe that there was an issue. I bring my car, explained the issue and asked them to thoroughly check the tires. 1.5 hour later, I was informed no issue found just needed air. So 1.5hr or so for air :( Within a couple of days my tire light came on again. I go there AGAIN and of course they don't have the tire size in stock. That was on a Saturday, I called Monday and left messages no response. Tuesday , today, I call again, finally spoke with someone and my tire STILL WAS NOT ordered. (Service Advisor just called and tire should be here Wednesday). My issue is had the technician done what was requested the first time all of this could have been avoided. And don't even start me on the Service Manager Matt, lacks customer service skills, empathy and offered no mutual resolution/ forward thinking resolution. read more

I got a coupon for a free oil change from Mike Smith. It still wasn't worth it. A crush washer on a drain plug should be crushed. At the very least, it should be tightened beyond finger tight. Finding a pool of oil the next morning is disconcerting, to say the least. To have a service writer suggest that I take it to another dealership and have them fix it under warranty is really disturbing. Poor service & poor customer service - that's what Mike Smith means to me. They did manage to come up with about $300 in services that I really didn't need. read more

We called and made an appointment, Brought our NISSAN Juke in and was told it may be up to 2 days before it could be seen by the tech. We couldn't leave it for multiple days without a diagnosis as our insurance will not pay for a rental unless we have that. Made another appointment for 8:00am the following week and at 2:30pm it STILL WASNT LOOKED AT! We were told we had an appointment to get inline to possibly be seen today by a tech! Not HAPPY!!! Manger was not helpful and kept repeating the must have an appointment to get an estimated time and diagnosis. This process is horrible! I felt like I was going in circles. read more

This place is an absolute joke for maintenance. From the front advisers to Matt the "supervisor". I made an appointment and after i get here I was informed that appointments are not required and have no meaning it is all first come first serve. The appointment is to speak with some someone at the front desk after that it is just who is in line. This defeats the whole point of making an appointment. Tried to talk to Matt, as now my day is delayed, and was told "well the website says that" after showing him that on the mobile version that it in fact does not say that and doesn't have the option to not be a drop off and wait. He then became defensive and say well it is suppose to and the web version does. I can not help that the pages are different and if you are not going to honor the appointment time then do not offer them. I will take the car to another dealer from now on as to not have to deal with them here. read more

I'm convinced that my sunroof shattered due to a defect, not an impact (as I was not close enough to anything for that to be a plausible scenario, and also that the whole thing shattered at once, it sounded like a shotgun went off by my head). Regardless, the service manager was very rude, didn't give me the time of day. I might as well have been claiming that little aliens had done it. So we said okay let's look into trading it for another truck. The exact same truck but different color. He has owed the truck a week and half. I am pre-approved for a loan with my credit union, so I negotiated with a sales person all day over the phone and have a string of texts stating the agreed upon price. I gave the salesperson my bank pre-approval certificate and was told the paperwork would be ready when I arrived at the dealership with the agreed upon price. The collision center is populated with liars. Sent there by their service department to repair a problem and received an estimate. Decided to pay it myself since it was fairly inexpensive to do so. Unfortunately, the person I was dealing with quit or was fired and after they got my car in for repairs they doubled the estimate to repair it. Avoid at all costs. I bought my Altima here in 2015, and have brought in my car a few times for service. I've always had very friendly service personnel greet me at the door. Everything is always carefully explained to me, and not only do they fix everything right the first time, they clean my car for me too. The shuttle service is also nice if you need it. If you choose to wait while they service your vehicle, there are refreshments and a nice waiting area that makes it way less monotonous. Overall, I'm very happy with my experiences, and I'll keep coming back. =) read more

Not sure what happened to there service, used to be real good, but last 2-3 times we've been there, its took 1 1/2-2hrs + for an oil change, when even on Nissan's website it states that Mike Smith is and express service dealer, it should take 30 minutes or LESS Guaranteed or your next oil change is FREE, well, they act like they could care less about our time, and have NEVER been offered a free oil change!! I took my truck in for warranty electrical work. Service told me they would not repair my truck due to an aftermarket trailer plug on my back bumper. I told them the plug was from Nissan. One of the managers told me "Nissan has never used a seven pin plug on their Frontier trucks." HMMM? My seven pin connector says Nissan, and has a Nissan part number, and the owners manual specifically mentions, "....when equipped with a seven pin connector" I believe the managers name was Matt Reck, he failed to introduce himself and after listening to his nonsense I was too pissed of to ask. Is Matt Ignorant in his the knowledge required for his job or just lying. The repair took me 45 minutes of labor and required no parts. read more

This well may be the worst dealership in the US. I have owned a 2011 Nissan since '06, it has always needed the front airbags changed under recall. Long story short: They took months to do the first one (passenger), and even then they did a bunch of "safety checks" I didn't give them permission to do, trying to scare me into spending a bunch of money on services I didn't want. I finally got the car, which the dealer assured me was "safe to drive" (even though I knew better) and started waiting for the drivers-side bag. Then several months ago I got a card notifying me that the new airbag was in, and I immediately called for an appointment. I specifically asked for them to set me quickly since I'd already been hassling with this problem for TWO YEARS. That was two months ago, and still no appointment. So today I called Nissan national, and they put me in touch with Twin City Nissan in Pt. Arthur, Texas, and I have an appointment Monday to get it done. Lesson: A good dealer can get to your problem in no time at all. This one, not so much. Avoid this place like the plague it is. You won't like their "business". read more

Please be careful if you get your car serviced at Mike smith Nissan........ I had a drive chain recall issued on my car, I spoke with the service manager after they ran the diagnostic and told me I needed a 11,000$ new engine ,my oil was black and sludgey either because I was not changing my oil or because I was not getting it changed by Nissan. At this time they told me there was no point to get the recall done. I advised them to do the recall, because I knew I changed my oil when I am supposed to, they kept my car over a week all the while having salesman call me everyday trying to sell me a car. I get my car back and it is running very rough, when I get down the road, my service engine light comes on. I had already planned to bring it to get a second opinion, so I brought it to twin city Nissan and they were amazing! They ran the tests and told me in fact I do not need a new engine, but the recall was done incorrectly by mike Smith Nissan. No sludge at all in my engine ,they pulled my Carfax which has all my oil changes logged in it. Mike Smith Nissan lied to me and treated me very rude. On the other side of this Twin city Nissan was kind and helpful, made sure we had a rental car{Mike Smith denied me a rental car}. They also called and gave me updates{Mike Smith did not}. I also called the Mike Smith GM and left messages with no callback. So please be careful, always get a second opinion. read more

Poor customer service in the Nissan dept. I set an appt for 7 and was told a shuttle could drop me at work. I get there and when they finish my paper work I had 30 mins to get to work then find theres no shuttle so I had to find someone to pick me up and get me to work. Then I call ahead find out about my car let them know I was coming at the time u had someone to take me to get my car and my ride fell thru and I had to call back for the shuttle which proved to be an inconvenience for them again NO SHUTTLE. So I find another ride get there and have to wait for them to pull my car out and come to find out my paper work was on the wrong desk! They don't greet you and one staff looked as if she was having a terrible day cause it showed all in her poor attitude and customer service. Then get in my car and it's still clicking when I apply my brakes so I guess I need to go to a Kia dealership.Im so disappointed with my first experience with them. read more

I trie to be patient and give this place a chance but several mistakes later and I am done and I recommend others to look elsewhere. I am going to avoid going into the past to far and just give you the most recent and last straw. Went in for a simple oil change/tire rotation it took them about three hours... But nothing special here. Now on my drive home from Beaumont to Orange I notice that my car is violently shaking when I reach about 65 mph. It was a windy day so I didn't think much of it. Next day the same is happening but no wind this time. My father in law who owns a business has a shop to work on his trucks and they finally had the time to look at my ac which was out for a few days. Oh yeah I went in to the oil change with a broken ac and tire pressure lights on and not a single word on both was said to me. Goes to show the job was rushed big time. Anyways after hours working on the car they find that the clutch was bad not properly powering the compressor hence why the ac wouldn't come on. Sadly no local shop was able to get the part so it had to be ordered online and it would take a few days to get here. So no driving my car for over a week. Part finally comes in and it's replaced car is put back together and bam no shaking at all. So I ask the mechanic at the shop and my father in law why was the car shaking so much before? Their answers was that in order to replace the part they replaced they had to take the front right tire out which is the same tire that needs to be removed for the oil filter to be replaced. Their assumption was that after doing so at the dealer they did not put the tire back together resulting in all that shaking. They said had I driven the car another day on it it would have caused serious damage and a very high chance of an accident being that I am constantly driving down I-10. There was the one time they didn't change the oil, the one time where they didn't put my door seal back, and a few more... I understand a mistake in a dozen visits but it seems like they mess up every other time I step there. Actively looking for a new location to start doing my routine maintenance. read more

They damaged my paint during the first servicing and refused to fix it. Service is always extremely slow, usually about double their already high estimate. Took our truck in for some maintenance. Said they couldn't do an alignment because I had rusty bolts. They couldn't figure how to get a couple rusty bolts off. On top of that, we went to pick up the truck to take it somewhere else and the battery was dead! Worked fine for 1.5 weeks that they had it in the shop. Instead of helping us, they wanted to charge us for new battery. Since I just bought the battery at Auto Zone it was still under a 5 year warranty. Of course, we had to go back the next day and put it in ourselves in their parking lot!! read more

Worst service department on the planet! Laura was the most rude and unhelpful person I have ever had the misfortune to run into. She actually saw the problem with my car and still sent me away saying they had no one to work on it. I took the car to Twin Cities Nissan and they found the cause of the problem in 5 minutes flat.
