1 star is one too many. Schedule an appt to arrive at 8 am on appt day to be told the appt took online doesn't know their workflow and I would need to drop it off and they would look at it next week. So WTH is the purpose of scheduling an appt? I asked can I schedule an appt for the day you can look at it. No we aren't sure what day that is. So ok I leave it there and check back 4 days later and told possibly no one had a chance yet and made a comment it had been there a bit and then they said maybe something was cracked so I said ok I'll get company to rent me a car. Well next day I gamer a txt car is ready. The people who changed oil in TN didn't seat air filter properly setting off the check engine light. So for this I get 6 days in the shop, rental car and a 200 bill from you guys. I don't really care about the bill etc but if you checked it the day I dropped it off I wouldn't have a rental car and everything. Else. Made a Saturday appointment over the phone for oil change, tire rotation, and shock absorber replacement. Lady says "I'll put you down for an early 8:00 appointment so they'll have plenty of time to finish the shocks." So I arrive this morning and the service writer says "I can't do shocks today because I only have 'oil change guys' on Saturday." Then I asked the same service writer 3 times to let me see my appointment (to see if they logged my request) and he just ignored me and finished checking all the other vehicles in. Finally, when he was sitting down at his desk I asked again, so he showed me - there it was... suspension work (shocks) scheduled for Saturday. At least he tried to make it right - took pics and showed me that the rear shocks were bad, front were OK. But still disappointed I didn't get it all done in 1 trip... read more

When it comes to buying a car, I do lots of research. As a result we've been driving the Kia brand since 2004 because they never need repairs. For the past months we've been tracking pricing on new Kia Soul vehicles to gauge the right time to trade our 2013 Soul. Earlier this week I shopped electronically at all my usual suspect dealers from in the region from Houston to Baton Rouge. Then fortunately we ended our search at Classic Kia in Beaumont, in spite of my misguided bias about better pricing at the big town dealers. And I am so very happy to have dealt with Classic! Shelby was our contact person and guide at Classic. He and I had started the deal earlier online as Shelby furnished to me several choices of new in-stock Kia Soul models. In the meantime, I found some pricing backup from Consumer Reports. So having chosen the car we wanted, loaded with backup data, my wife and I went over the Classic Kia location, met with Shelby and eventually with Eric, his boss. And cousin. Shelby was most engaging and refreshingly quirky as we hammered out the pricing issues. We eventually agreed to a deal after an epic round or two of negotiating and arm-wrestling. Our deal was the best I had seen based on pricing quotes I had gathered from a bunch of regional dealers! And right here in our home town, don'cha know? And I was so impressed the with comfortable design of the showrooms and offices. In short, the layout of the sales floor plus the engaging and knowledgeable sales staff made for the most professional car-buying experience I have ever encountered. The person ordered the wrong part ( tried to say we told them the wrong thing going on-Come on, who orders a part without diagnosing it first-but then finally admitting it was "that said person that ordered the wrong part) Finally get a Rental vehicle, keep trying to call the said person because I know when the vehicle needs to be back-But said person will never call me back, had to get the Rental Dept. to track that person down. Finally go to pick my vehicle up and that person was to busy typying on the computer, but had enough time to talk to someone else. Like I said...incompetent Service Rep. I will preface this lengthy review with this statement: I NEVER post things like this. We are business owners and I do not take bad reviews lightly. That is how you know I truly mean it and felt I had to share this. I have waited a full week to write my review of the experience I had at Classic Southeast Texas buying my vehicle because I had what started out to be an excellent experience with our salesperson Morgan that ended in an experience with Conrad, the finance person I had the displeasure of having to endure speaking to in the GMC office. I will start out with the GOOD: We were referred to Classic by one of our good friends because a mutual friend, Clark Shores, works in the finance department in the Chevrolet building. Clark was amazing and friendly, did everything he could to assist us and was extremely attentive. Unfortunately, he was not able to help us with the finance side because the two vehicles we were most interested in were on the books for the GMC building. He got us hooked up with Morgan Boles and assured us Morgan would take care of us and to let him know if we had issues. I came in with a prequalification and knew I was approved to get what I wanted and would be able to leave with a car that day if I wanted to. Morgan was great, very friendly, and had a lot of knowledge on the vehicles we were looking at. He was very helpful and good to me when my husband had to be at work. I would recommend Morgan to anybody. The BAD: Once I was given to the finance department I could not believe for a second that this guy was part of the same team as Morgan and Clark. Conrad was extremely rude from the second I met him. Our meeting began when my husband was still at work in the evening. My husband had let Morgan know he got off work in Beaumont at 730 and Morgan said that was fine and he would take care of us. When Conrad first walked up to Morgan and I, there was no hello or how are you doing. Instead I was met with first words to the effect of what's the hold up. When I said my husband gets off at 730, he legitimately looked at me and leaned his whole body and head to the side and stared at me with a very rude expression and then looked at the time- this highly offended me but I told myself, okay clearly he doesn't care about helping and just wants to leave but I was told by Morgan this should not be a big deal so I shrugged it off and held my tongue. Where it got nearly so offensive I almost walked out to find a vehicle elsewhere was when I was put in the office with him and told my husband will just have to come by himself tomorrow. This "professional" tried to bully and scare me into buying several things that my husband and I had already discussed. His tone was rude and sarcastic and he displayed no form of customer service. The top two most offensive things to come out of his mouth beyond the overt rudeness and rush to get me out of his office are below. -"It's illegal to buy gap insurance after you sign" - THIS IS A LIE AND YOU CANNOT COUNSEL PEOPLE THAT THEY LEGALLY CANNOT BUY GAP IF THEY DONT ADD IT TO THE CONTRACT. This guy treated me like I was a stupid woman the entire time I was in his office. -"It's not my problem if you have no warranty" THIS IS ALSO UNACCEPTABLE TO COME OUT OF ANYONE'S MOUTH IF THEY ARE IN ANY CUSTOMER FACING POSITION! I am in sales, I face customers; if I ever spoke to a customer like that and it got back to my boss I would be written up. Whether something is "your problem" or not, you should never say that to a customer. I don't care who you are or how long you have been doing your job. These were the most glaringly offensive things that were said to me. There were other points that I could include but I believe these two instances speak volumes of the representation I saw in that office. OVERALL, I cannot honestly recommend this business to anyone if there is a team member that will lie, try to belittle and deceive a customer, and have so little regard for the fact that I was a paying customer. Morgan needed a picture after we closed but I truly was so deeply offended and upset that I could not smile for a picture with my new vehicle that I had been so ecstatic to purchase. I will tell everyone about this experience and how poorly I was treated by Conrad. I pray no one ever gets treated this way again and that he has consequences. Again, Clark and Morgan truly were wonderful, but to be treated so poorly when I was supposed to be excited to purchase a new vehicle was disgusting. If anyone ever is doing business with Classic, I highly recommend they work with the Chevrolet side and with Clark and Morgan but at all costs do not work with the GMC finance side. If anyone gets told they will have to work with Conrad, demand a different finance person. I cannot believe how I was treated. I have yet to hear from anyone at the dealership regarding this experience. read more

Went to pick up a truck on a Wednesday. I was told I could get a better deal on a Demo truck and it would be ready the next day. Next day, no truck and the vehicle is loaned out to a customer. Then I'm told its guaranteed to be there Friday, and no vehicle Friday PLUS it needs to be driven 500 more miles to be eligible for the price. Took my Chevy Silverado to service department. A/C was not working properly. I was told it was a programming problem. 199.00 to reprogram the system. I'm told it works now. 30 minutes later I get a call telling me it starts blowing warm on the passenger side. I'm told to repair this problem would be close to 500.00! Something fishy is going on. I tell them to program it back the way it was because I'm not spending 500.00 dollars. Magically a little later I'm told that the AC was working properly. Ok! I pick my truck up and the A/C vents are broken. Also, there's a different A/C control unit installed. Buttons worn and no outside temp like the one that was in the truck when I gave it to them! They told me it had nothing to do with them. But, look at the pictures that are posted. The one on the left is what they gave me, the one on the right is how I gave it to them! You be the judge! Well the service manager did refund the A/C repair cost (reprogramming) 198.00. The A/C vents are under warranty less than a year old! Because get this, they put a new dash in the truck! Man either GM has some brittle parts or something shady was done. I want the A/C control that I dropped off to these people. That's all! Look at the pics and tell me if it's the same unit! My coworker and friend Amanda just purchased a used vehicle (2018 Buick) from Classic Chevrolet in November. She is a single mom and trusted that when they said the vehicle was looked over and in good condition they were being honest. Within weeks of buying the vehicle she started having major issues with it. After bringing the car to a mechanic who told her the car was in awful shape, she brought it to Classic's service department. They have had it now three times and it had the filling issues: The oil was total sludge, the car was smoking, the oil line was broken and leaked into the turbo, the coolant line was not hooked up, the inner cooler needed to be replaced and now Classic is saying the engine may go out at some point soon. They are ready for her to pick up her car today. When she spoke today to the Used Car Manager Dustin, he basically told her they get the vehicles state inspected before sale and all he can do is invite her to come trade her car in for another one. That there was nothing else he can do, and they cannot warranty anything else that will go wrong. I would NEVER buy a vehicle from a place that does not honor what they sell. They took advantage of her as a single woman and she now has a vehicle that is not safe or in good condition. At MINIMUM they should take care of FULL repairs on the vehicle so that she can have something reliable to drive. Stay away from this place!!!! This place is a scam!!! read more

In the current environment of limited car inventory, having to go to whichever dealer happens to have the vehicle you're looking for can result in some bad experiences, as I found out all too well, a few months ago! Fortunately, my latest car buying experience was about as good as it gets! After seeing the vehicle online that I had been searching months for, I called Classic to see if it was available. The internet sales manager was very nice and helpful, with no pressure, whatsoever! I wasn't going to be able to get to the dealership for a couple of days, but I wanted the car, so they took a deposit, over the phone, to hold it for me. We were able to take care of the needed details, by phone, so that all that was left to do when I arrived was to take a test drive and sign the pre-filled paperwork. The car looked great and there were no "surprises" in the paperwork. No undisclosed add-ons, no extra warranty pressure. Everything was as simple , straightforward and easy as could be! Horrible! After having to have our car towed to the dealer because the glass repair co. Crap-lite rendered it a paper weight by somehow activating an unknown security device... The service lady Missy was a complete and rude beeotch! We simply asked how long it would be and got attitude. The dealership said that the battery, cables, and some other bogus cramp needed replacing. Total bullshit! As I had inspected everything myself and it's like brand new. Not to mention that the car goes to Firestone monthly since it's a Corp. fleet car. Total and complete crooks!! We also asked them to change the oil in the car since it was there and due. They proceeded to drop the car off of the rack and damage the "drivers side door." After a week or so we finally were able to pick it up. However, the side mirrors do not work and personal possessions were missing. Like CD's, umbrella and car deodorizing sprays. Reall!? Who in the hell steals that kind of crap anyway? The lady who was supposed to be 'helping' us was not very helpful. Not knowing a lot about cars I needed some clarification on a few things however she would never answer our calls. We called at least 5 times and were told that she was busy and would call us back and she never got back with us. Finally we just took a trip up there and after telling her we couldn't afford to pay $600 for a repair (which I later found out cost less than $100 to fix) she gave us an attitude, and was on the phone most of the time. I do secret shopping, I have done it here before, but on this visit I was just on my own. But after seeing what the company expects I was very disappointed on this visit. No one met me out in the garage when I drove up. When I came it there were two of your staff who just nodded and would not wait on me while one young lady was doing all the work. Finally those two walked off and went somewhere else and left that young lady alone. She had someone on the phone, the phone was ringing and there was someone at her counter she was helping. I must have waited for 10 minutes before she could get to me. Since I had been here before, I guess that is why, she didn't point out any of the things available while I was waiting. I did ask, about 5 minutes into my wait, how long it would be. A young man told me I was the only car so it would be about 15 minutes. So 45 minutes later I was told my car was ready. No one told me what would be done or what it would cost. I noticed a seal being replaced and I asked what that was for and the lady checking me out didn't know and didn't offer to find out. Oh well! Now I know you wash the cars as a courtesy and vac them out but if you are going to wash my car please really wash it. There were places on it where the road film was still on it so it came out very spotty and didn't look good. There was stuff in the car so they vac-ed out the driver's side only and that was fine. I feel that your company wants to do a superior job and that is one reason they hire secret shoppers to come and check you out. As I said, I was not there as a secret shopper this time but I think the service dept could do a better job of upholding the standard your company has set. You called me last time I turned in one of these, and if you want to contact me again you may but I am not mad, I am just disappointed. I have never used a dealership to maintain my vehicle but the warranty offered enticed me to do so. This is definitely the worst dealership I've ever had experience with; and having a grandfather that had his own dealership I have my fair share in knowing what's going on. We pay a $1,700 for a warranty and they decided it is best to fix our problems by using zip ties! and taking a whole month to fix these little problems.
