Crab, crayfish, fried shrimp, corn. That shrimps taste special
Luna F.

Food are fresh and taste good! Especially fish and shellfish, I like them! Here's food more than I imagine. I like how it has many different options and even fried things for other people. ; Freezer for ice cream is a bit tough to open, but great place; prices are cheap except for the 3 dollar sodas

First time visit for Dinner, new and clean with lots to choose from. Dishes were hot and never long for dishes to be refilled. The sushi selection was good and it was tasty. Service was quick from The waitress and drinks were refilled timely. plenty of tables and did not have to wait. Did. It try the Hibachi grill items or the plentiful cold bare area. But they both had a good selection. Will be back.

I've been waiting months to check out this place. I've passed by it several times during lunch and people were waiting outside. We went around 2:30 for a late lunch and were able to get seated immediately. The place is clean and had a good assortment of food. Pros: * Hibachi is available - but not the largest variety of items I've seen offered * Great assortment of sushi - about 16 choices * A large cold bar * Clean and modern - not over decorated Cons: * Some of the items we tried were only warm not hot * Some of the items were mislabeled - General Tso's Chicken was either orange chicken or not good * Beef dish was mushy - not sure how you make beef mushy It's probably the best Chinese buffet in town and has your standard assortment of items.

Lots of parking, lots of seating, lots of food. Staff were friendly and attentive. We went on a Sunday afternoon and this place was busy. They had hibachi, sushi , hot and cold selections of food including seafood- blue crabs, clams, mussels, crawfish, steamed fish. They seemed to keep the restaurant clean, wiping down seats in between. The bathrooms were below average.

This is the fifth time I have been here. It's a typical Chinese / Japanese buffet. The sushi was good they also had sashimi. Didn't do hi Archie this time but the quality an quantity was very good. Only issue was the bathroom had a lot of water on flooor an sink they had a fan running to keep the floor dry

I really like Asian Buffets. The crowds at this new spot kept me away for a few months. Finally stars aligned lunch time and no crowds. I was so looking forward to the experience. 1st the tables are so close it is impossible to pull a chair and sit without disturbing the table behind. The choices of food is vast. Cold bars, salad bars, sushi, hot bar, desert bar and hibachi. The sushi selection was vast. I loaded my plate with a taste of almost everything offered. I enjoyed my visit.

The service was fantastic and the food matched. There was such a variety of food offered that I haven't seen offered anywhere else and it all was fresh. We didn't wait long to be seated and our waitress was very sweet and attentive. The noise level was pretty loud but it was to be expected, everyone was having a great time! I would absolutely recommend coming here to eat if you haven't yet. We will definitely be back!

I was able to stop by Mikata Buffet for lunch today. It's been open for a bit, but it always seems super crowded. So I arrived with a friend right at 11:00 and I found out instantly why it's always so crowded. First, they offer a really large selection of Asian and American foods. They even feature muscles, crawfish and sushi. There's an ice cream bar as well. Just massive! Everything I tried was executed well. I especially enjoyed the peanut chicken. Very good. What surprised me is that they had really good Mac and cheese. Service was impeccable. My dirty plate didn't sit on my table for more than 10 seconds. My drink was never empty. Just fantastic service, and it was increasing busy as lunch went on. If you're hungry and want a great, expansive, reasonably priced buffet experience, try the Mikata Buffet.

Been wanting to try this new buffet and it was yummy! They have a huge variety. Everything was clean and the staff constantly turns the food to keep it fresh and hot. The sushi was yummy and I liked the dumplings and noodles as well. The green tea ice cream was good too. Got to meet the owner, and he was friendly! Good, fast spot!

I'm gonna start out with how nice the place looked inside! What a transformation from red lobster to this. Very open wide space! I was very disappointed in the sushi bar because I had my heart set on vegetarian sushi however they did not offer that. I'm not 100% sure if the gentleman understood what I was asking about however everything was seafood so I was unable to partake in the sushi. The hibachi bar was nice. The vegetables were extremely fresh and the gentleman who did the preparation was excellent. Kind and professional. He did an outstanding job with my chicken and vegetables! The bar itself is plentiful with a wide variety of items to select, mainly seafood. The beef ribs. I'm sure we're good, but I elected not to try them. The desserts were plentiful to say the least! Very much enjoyed the custard bun felt that was outstanding. The cheesecake was not bad, but I've had better. This is definitely a place to go if you're truly truly truly hungry then and only then will you get your moneys worth. It was overall a good experience, clean and well represented.

I'm usually not a buffet person as I like quality food made for me to my liking, not for the masses. My sister and I were looking for somewhere for dinner and it was getting late. We stopped by a few other places and lines were long, so we came across this restaurant and figured it would at least have something for everyone. We walked in and even though there were people waiting and the restaurant was very busy, we were seated right away and our drink orders were taken. The hot tables were steaming hot, but I did feel some of the food did not stay very hot. There was a wide variety of dishes to choose from. I personally tried the chicken and broccoli, lo mein a few other things and a pile of cream cheese wontons. I tried the egg drop soup, and unfortunately it tasted like it used Jacksonville chlorinated water, it tasted like chlorine, I was bummed. I made my way to the hibachi area where you can choose your items and they will cook it. The person making the food was asking what kind of sauce, I told him and he didn't understand so I kept asking for sauce as it was very dry looking. To be honest it was a little confusing how this worked and I wish they had bowls that I could make my own sauce concoction myself. The food was pretty good though. I think my son did 3 trips to the hibachi area learning more about how to order each time. He loved this option. The sushi area was just OK. The rice was very dried out so it had been sitting, I wouldn't eat that again. The ice cream was a nice touch and they had a few flavors to choose from, something for everyone. Overall it was a decent meal and the price was good. I would definitely come back as it's easy for everyone to get something they like.

The food was delicious and the selection was amazing. Pricing was spot on and within budget for a family of 6. Service could have been a little better as it took awhile to get our drinks. The atmosphere was very welcoming and I'd definitely visit again!

I went on a Friday at 4:30pmish and honestly this is a great addition to the neighborhood. No waiting since I didnt go at peak. We left around 6 and there was a line outside already. The food was great, considering the amazing price of 18.99 for dinner for adults. Kids are 9.99 (There was a family with a 3 year old at a table near us and I overheard that they still charged them 9.99, just an FYI) Service is good, they're fast with taking plates and I didnt feel uncomfortable or anything. The hibachi is a bit slow. Its good though. The sushi is good, good variety :) but im a salmon sushi gal. Its not the tastiest salmon but its still good for the buffet price. The nigiri tho they put alot of rice lol. So i found myself grabbing more of their cut up sashimi. They also had oysters yum! The hot food selection is a good spread. Your typical Chinese food buffet selection and its all tasty! My husband and our family will def be regulars here. Its a great value.

We visited on a Friday for lunch, and the dining room was about 40% full--comfortable, not crowded, and easy to enjoy. ** Pros ** * Atmosphere: -- The space is surprisingly nice for a buffet. Two walls feature projected moving murals, and another showcases a large mountain scene. It creates a relaxing, modern vibe. * Food Quality: -- Everything we sampled--and we sampled a lot in small portions--was consistently good. -- Temperatures were spot‑on: soups were hot, desserts were properly chilled. -- Flavors were on par with other Asian buffets in Jacksonville, and in some cases better. -- The hibachi station is on the smaller side, offering two meats and a handful of vegetables. It's possible they expand options at dinner. -- Sushi selection was solid, with all the standard rolls you'd expect. -- The pork bun was the best I've had in town. It was light and had a great taste. * Value: At around $14 per person for lunch, we felt the price matched the quality and variety offered. ** Cons ** * Limited Variety: The overall assortment isn't as large as some of the newer buffets that have opened in the past year. Maybe the assortment is a bit larger at dinner or on the weekends. ** Overall ** We felt the visit was worth the drive from the Southside, and we'd happily stop by again when we're in the area.

Fresh sushi, seafood, hot bar favorites and plenty of comfort picks stacked across the buffet. The variety is honestly impressive, so whether you're in the mood for sushi rolls, crispy fried bites or classic buffet plates, you'll find your lane fast. Service was attentive and quick to clear plates, which is key when you're making multiple rounds (and yes... you will). It's also a great family option. Tons of choices for kids and picky eaters, so everyone leaves happy. Solid buffet experience with something for every appetite.

The aesthetics of the restaurant are beautiful--definitely the highlight of the visit. The space is well designed and visually appealing, which initially made me excited to dine there. However, the service and food quality did not match the atmosphere at all. Our waiter was not knowledgeable about the menu and couldn't answer basic questions about the items or broths. The food placed on the bar appeared frozen rather than fresh, which was concerning for a hot pot experience. I ordered the Tom Yum soup base, and it was honestly one of the worst I've had. The flavor was unpleasant, and after putting my food into the pot, it completely ruined the meal to the point where I couldn't eat any of it. To make matters worse, I ordered a Sex on the Beach cocktail, and it tasted extremely watered down with almost no flavor. Overall, the only positive part of this experience was the restaurant's aesthetics. Unfortunately, good décor can't make up for poor service and bad food. I will not be returning.
