It was more than we could imagine, we stayed in a lovely room, with comfortable beds, a fire place and a cute bathroom. There was even an enclosed patio with a gate off of the room (made it easier to let the dog out in the morning). The space was very open and we felt like we were at home. There was wireless internet, satellite TV and plenty of space for my friend, my dog and I to roam around. We were the only ones there during our stay and my dog LOVED it! Plenty to sniff and explore. Anne, the owner is wonderful and sweet. She recommended great places for us to eat and helped us find our way around. They offer great pet services and we were allowed to leave our well-behaved dog in the room. The breakfasts were delicious, every morning there was coffee, tea, juice, granola with fresh fruit and yogurt. And if you wanted eggs and bacon made to order with scones! This is a little ways outside of Santa Fe but so worth the stay, much better than being in a city. The views from the Hacienda were gorgeous and we saw snow, clear skies, cloudy days, and starry nights (in the two days we were there in late March). It was gorgeous! Can't wait to go back!

Each room and main room had a fireplace which was a nice touch to add to the ambiance with the fall weather. The place decorates itself- the architecture is southwestern and unique. The views are gorgeous and the place is perfectly secluded, yet there is still access to the funky little town of Madrid close by. We couldn't have picked a better spot for our intimate family wedding. The team at the Hacienda made planning from a distance very easy for us and we were well taken care of. We are truly so happy with our choice to get married at Hacienda Dona Andrea :)

Here's where it gets really weird...he liked that IPA so much that he gave other beers on their list a shot. He VERY RARELY ventures out of IPA world. He was so blown away by the quality of the brew that he wanted to actually taste the others. He ended up with the Ghost Stout. It was also a beautiful color and tasted amazing!! I also love seeing  David Michael Kennedy's intimate pictures of famous musicians and Native American culture. All of the artists I've seen there are deep and accomplished. Had a truly enchanting time here while driving through Cerillos on a sightseeing adventure with an…read moreout-of-town friend and car full of children. My city-mouse friend mentioned that she had always dreamed of petting a horse, so when we drove past an eclectic looking stable with gorgeous horses (seriously looks like something out of a movie), I figured it was worth a shot to see if we could meet the animals. I told my friend, "What's the worst they could say? No?" I parked my car and walked up to what looked like the main building, and I was greeted by a sleepy grey cat and outrageously cute little dog. A man that I presume is the owner followed behind the dog and asked me if I needed help. After pitching my request to him, offering money to let my friend just spend some time visiting the horses, he kindly told me that we were welcome to respectfully walk around for free. He told us we could meet any horse that came up to us, but reminded us to not feed the horses. By the looks of the horses, the man I spoke to clearly cares for these animals deeply, and I was really taken by the cleanliness and health of the horses. In the end, my friend was able to meet a horse for the first time, and my kids loved seeing the beautiful animals. They especially loved the sweet grey cat and inquisitive one-eyed horse. We will definitely be back to schedule a ride here, as I was so impressed by the animals and thankful for the kindness we were shown. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Broken Saddle!
