Swimming camps offer great value! My child had a fantastic time and learned to swim underwater effortlessly. Thanks for the experience! ‍

Everything about this place is great except one thing…read more.. There's a male patron doing naked yoga sessions in the sauna that is ruining it for everyone else (we call him sauna guy). We're not talking about basic stretches either, were talking full blown legs up in the air, grunting obnoxiously, doing the splits. Last time I was in there, he was literally doing the splits on his back; spread eagle for all to see! The only reason I'm putting this review in is because the owner and / or management need to know about this. I have already complained twice to the front desk, but the 20yr old kid on shift isn't going to do anything about it. Front desk kid even said they 'talked to the guy already, but he wont stop.' Hey how about suspending his membership? Then revoking it? It's not rocket science how to solve this problem. I don't care if he wants to stretch so he can get good at 'the splits' and I don't care that he wants to be nude, I care that he wants to do both at the same time and take up half the fkng sauna. Wear speedo shorts or don't put your balls up in the air. It's one or the other my guy. For clarity, I have included some images (not sure what yelp did with them) to help demonstrate to management the types of moves this guy is doing (while naked). He is visually assaulting my retinas and I've had enough of his inappropriate exhibitionist behavior. I'm just as tolerant as anyone else, but this creep has got to go!

Glad that I made a reservation the day prior. It was fully booked out. I arrived 20 min prior. Was able to get mat, towel rentals (first visit with free rentals). The front desk gave a good overview of the studio. Once you walk in, to the right are cycling rooms, change rooms/shower rooms. To the left was the yoga studio. They offer a good variety of accessories, cork blocks or soft blocks. Etc. I didn't see foam roller but I could have missed it completely. Mat and mat towels are good. But it is common rental mat issue with some smells. The mat towel comes with good grip. Prana flow was good with excellent breath work. The chanting was greatly appreciated too. I found the fellow students seem to have practiced for a while. Some with great techniques and postures. Teacher here was awesome too. This seems to be a solid choice in Santa Fe. Glad that I found it and get to stretch out while in town.

This gym should have six stars…read more My husband and I stayed in Santa Fe for 5 weeks and joined Railyard Fitness. They have a special membership with no commitment for travelers and I cannot recommend this gym highly enough. The gym itself is clean, modern, bright and has a great energy. It features top of the line equipment and includes everything that you can possibly think of (rowers, ellipticals, treadmills, stair stepper, TRX bands, etc.). On top of the gym equipment, the membership includes access to red light therapy & Normatec compression for full body. For an additional cost, you can enjoy the sauna and cold plunge located in a separate locked room. The owner, Douglas, is so kind and welcoming. The other trainers are the same. If you have the opportunity, purchasing a training session(s) with any of them would be a great investment. You could tell each of their clients truly enjoyed them and they were consistently busy. With that, even with 3-4 trainers seeing clients, there was plenty of room for other members to workout. The gym itself has three separate workout areas and plenty of machines / equipment to be shared. If we lived in Santa Fe this would be the gym that I would join without question. We miss the gym every day! Thanks for an amazing experience!

I started at The Miller Gym back in December 2014 - more than half a year later, I am super happy…read morewith my decision to train here. Owned by Shane and Kim, The Miller Gym is in a warehouse off a Pacheco. It's a lovely space with a lot of natural light and bright colors. The gym has a half-wall in the middle which divides the space between the lifting platforms and other equipment. Kim spends a lot of time and energy maintaining the space, and it shows. This is probably the nicest gym environment in which I have ever trained. It feels welcoming and friendly rather than intimidating. I moved to The Miller Gym to work on Olympic lifts. I had been at a local Crossfit affiliate, but I found I wasn't making the strength gains I wanted. Shane creates the programming for each person based around goals, experience and abilities. In less than a year, I've found I've made a ton of improvement and definitely see gains in my lifting. That's a credit to Shane and Kim; the other lifters in the gym who give me really helpful feedback; and to me for getting in to train! (No amount of programming works if you don't go in.) Shane has a lot of experience coaching, and he's very patient and helpful. Other gym members include a whole range of community members, and even a decently-sized group that commutes up from Albuquerque. Ages range from teens to people in their 80s. There are a lot of women. The gym also has a weightlifting team (Miller Weightlifting) - it's an inclusive and friendly group. Stop by and check it out!

So, I applied for a job with the Santa Fe county fire department. I was accepted based on my…read morequalifications and invited to take the civil service exam. I was a trite concerned because it is basically a suedo IQ test and my IQ is a humble 137. I passed, thank God, because I'm a judgmental prick and failing would be a huge dent to my ego. Upon passing(it was a pass/fail test) I was asked to take the CPAT(physical agility test). This, I was totally intimidated by. There are six exercises from 150 rotations on a three up three down step test within 10 minutes, hoisting a 42lb fire hose thirty feet up and down again, pushing a fire hose attached to a fire truck 75 feet, unleashing the water hitting a target to dragging a 175lb dummy 75 feet. For reasons I'll leave un-written, I didn't think I could muster up the strength to pass this test. My cardio is also extremely lacking to say the least. So, harnessing the drinking stamina of Bukowski mixed with a steadfast will I decided to try and ram twelve weeks of training into four days. I called all the gym's and spa's in town explaining what needed to happen. Not a one could grasp what my goals were, yet alone design a fool proof way to accomplish them except for Bulldog. I talked to a trainer there, told him my needs and desires and he designed a plan guaranteeing that if I could make it through his sessions I could pass the CPAT. I passed and did it in three minutes ten seconds. Far from the best and far from the worst, but I did it. Now, I'll kick back and wait for the call. They get four stars cause the facility is small, but not three cause the enthusiasm is huge. Thanks guys.
