If there was a higher rating I would have chosen it. Cannot say enough good things about this esteemed facility. I brought my very abused and traumatized horse from Mexico. He couldn't have his face touched and would dance side to side when he was in the cross ties. This Andalusian would crib on himself. He curls up his neck and sucks up air to handle and stress and trauma. Would get very anxious and standoffish when in human contact. He couldn't be near any whips or he would have an enormous PANICK ATTACK. When he arrived, my previous instructor never had a good enough vet to actually find out he has ulcers. My instructor, Emily Keene, knew he had ulcers in the first week he was there. My previous instructor also said he could eat any maintenance grain on the market. BIG MISTAKE. Jet full of SUGAR. HORSES SHOULD NEVER CONSUME SUCH A HIGH LEVEL OF SUGAR PER DAY!!!!!. On one of my first lessons with Emily, my gelding bolted like a maniac and bucked like a bronc. He had never spooked like that ever before. THIS WAS BECAUSE OF THE EXCESS SUGAR! Emily had my horse changed immediately to his salvation. The dynamite program. Without this feed and all the personalized work and therapy he received, he would not be the horse he is today. He has turned into this brand new horse. He nearly ever cribs, he can have a plastic bag on the end of a whip and have it slammed on the ground WHILE HE IS CANTERING without even reacting to it. He can have his face brushed and touched willingly. He never bolts and never bucks. He can be ground tied and be as still as a rock. He has never been happier here than anywhere else. My gratitude to Trinity is endless. What they have done to this horse is beyond compare. From the moment arrived, everyone couldn't have been friendlier. The indoor ring looks wonderful every time I step I into it. Never crowded when I ride in it. Never have had any hay problems. Everyone at Trinity is extremely kind and respectful. They would never had a "bucking and rearing cowboy lunging everywhere". Especially in the indoor ring. AS CLOSE TO BEING PERFECT AS ANY HORSE FACILITY COULD BE!! This place shows how much they care and love horses. I give my word that this little piece of heaven is the best place to have your beloved horse. read more

As a former boarder of 2 horses at Trinity, I urge you too consider the following before considering to place your baby at Trinity. 1. There isn't a manager who physically checks on your horse. Trinity has camera's to monitor the people, so you don't feed more hay than they feel is what the least amount your horse can get by on, but rarely does Tim the manager appear at the barn and he works full time off site. Owner's live in Texas!!!! Trinity Ranch is like a freight train without a engineer. 2. No night check, or anyone available to view your horse after around 5 pm. 3. 4 trainers who all try to teach clients and compete for the same small indoor arena all winter long. Picture 30+ horses using the same indoor arena, and even in the summer as the wind ALWAYS blows in Lamy! Good news however, Flies are not a problem, they can't compete with the wind. Picture bucking and rearing cowboy lunging everywhere even in the indoor while other lesson are happening... 4. They will feed your horse the worst hay anyone ever baled. No manager inspecting the hay before putting it in the hay barn. Owners finally sent back a whole truck load after many boarders said do not feed my horse THAT grass!!! Also No blending of new and old hay at Trinity, I had fun with a colic due to them running out of alfalfa and then feeding my Oldenburg brand new first cutting, same with the horse stalled next to us. 5. Stalls have galvanized metal walls inside. Workers shovel manure against the sides of the walls to separate the poop and the saw dust making the horses freak out over the sounds of danger which they can't see. My 6 year old still has PTSD over the trauma. Owner's exclaimed, maybe he was drugged when you bought him? Really? 6. Dogs are not allowed at Trinity, but owners allow their's to run around the barn? 7. Footing is terrible! 8. So glad to be done with the Trinity Nightmare Experience! I board a 16hh OTTB (Off-the-track Thoroughbred) at Trinity Ranch. I've been there for almost five months. Here's everything I have to say about my personal experience. First, everyone at the ranch, and I mean everyone has been very nice to me and very patient with me. (THANK YOU!!!) My Thoroughbred has issues and I am fairly new to owning horses myself. I promise we are working on them and it's important to note that my TB had the issues BEFORE coming to Trinity. While at Trinity I enrolled my "looney-toon" in training. He's improved greatly and I have learned a lot. Borders have also (politely) given me some great advice, too. I now have plenty of videos to watch and it's fun. (Seriously, you guys are amazing! Shoutout to Lia, too!) It's fairly quiet at the ranch (unless it's feeding time then you get a chorus of whinnies). It's windy but peaceful. Side note: My daughter and I absolutely love having lessons. I have seen her confidence grow since coming out to Trinity. Additionally, everyone is great about keeping the facility clean. (Or as clean as you can get it in New Mexico with our weather. Hello, dust.) If you want to see all of the things that they offer I recommend going to their website. Barn owners are super nice, too. Barn manager Tim let me know right away when my horse injured himself. (Honestly my guy is a bit of a goober so I'm shocked he didn't hurt himself sooner). My horse had bad feet when I got him and the farriers have done wonders and even better since boarding him at Trinity. He has since filled out and is doing great. The stable at Trinity Ranch in Lamy, NM, is an excellent, well maintained multi-functional facility! Around the clock presence by Management is a welcome and comforting capability. The Owner and Manager worked together very well with logistics and were able to provide the paddock I requested for my Mustang. The work force has shown great teamwork in caring for the horses; my interaction with the Manager and the stable hands is very positive, and is an educational opportunity for me. I have kept my two mares at Trinity since January 2019. I am been very happy with care my girls have gotten there - above and beyond what I had expected. The hay is always top notch and the folks who take care of the horses and the barn are also top notch! Very attentive and accommodating and give extra attention when needed. Very nice indoor, outdoor and dressage ring. Nice trail system as well. Highly recommend! read more
