Upon our arrival on the day of the ride, he inquired about my nephew's and niece's weights. My nephew stated he weighed 310 pounds and my niece said she weighed 235 pounds. The cutoff is 240 pounds, so he insisted on charging an additional person's fee. It should have been $120.00 plus, but I was charged $165.00. He then told my nephew, "You're paying," to which I replied, "No, I am paying for him." Carlos then remarked, "I wouldn't pay for him; I don't even let my son ride for free. Why would you pay for him?" This was very rude and made my nephew feel terrible about his weight. I would never return or recommend this place to anyone.

We had experienced overnight stays at several other Santa Fe stables when traveling with ours horses and visited other nearby stables when we decided to move to New Mexico. As soon as we visited Rancho Mariposa and spoke with Barbara Brockman, we knew this was the place for our horses... Barbara is there for the horses. She has helped us in choosing bits and saddles that fit properly as well as improving our balance and using lighter queues when riding our horses. We are better horsemen for being there. The monthly fee covers feed, high quality hay, scheduled turnouts and blanketing in winter. There are no extra charges if your horse needs to be doctored. Supplements provided by owners are given according to your requested schedule. Our experience has been that the horses are well cared for and we have no worries.

I have boarded horses for more than 30 years and think the visit /interview process is necessary for all horse owners. Every place will have pros and cons based on you and your horse's needs. I was very impressed with what I saw at Trinity. Trinity has a indoor, a very large outdoor arena, standard dressage court and a round pin. The rings are well maintained. The facility has groomed trails around the property that connect with a large network of trails. Although the indoor is not large between different schedules, different disciplines, good weather, and with the consideration of others, there is always options where to ride. I board in the barn. My horses (2 now) have nice large stalls with lengthy flat well draining run-outs. The barn has a very friendly atmosphere that really helped me in my transition to New Mexico. I met with Emily Keene, the dressage trainer and observed lessons 2 times before making my choice of Trinity. I cannot say enough good things about Emily. She is well educated in dressage and the bio-mechanics of the horse and rider. She also a great communicator. You couldn't ask for 3 better credentialed trainer/instructors (dressage, hunter/jumper, western). All the trainers are open, friendly and helpful, even if you are not with their program. Tim the resident manager was there to welcome and help settle my horses after cross country shipping. He is always willing to set aside time to talk about any problems or concerns. He has also been a big mental and physical support during a colic. The rock of the Trinity is Ismael (and his family), who see to the day to day care of the barn and property. It's a great team that works well

Said he had to get up at 5 am, we said ok. Next morning we had problems the car carrier we rented was never filled with DOT oil. The Hwys were horrible we had welding problems. We called the owner a message machine, we left a few messages but nobody was on site, so we started looking for a welder. A lady called she was beyond rude, said they are off site and we are on our own so Google it. No wonder they were empty. New Mexico are some rude people.
