This review is for the BMW service department of MAG. I haven't used any other of their services. I was traveling out of state for a funeral and my car experienced some trouble (luckily) not to far from MAG. I called them, explained the situation, and was seen right when I got there. The folks understood the urgency of needing to get back on the road so I wouldn't miss the funeral. They had my water pump completely replaced and car ready to go in about 3-1/2 hours, with no notice. Added bonus that it was under warranty still. The manager was great about keeping me updated and the lounge with TV/drinks kept me occupied. read more

Returned the call, it went to vm, and I never heard back. Maybe they don't want to do service under the new ownership. By the way, I ended up elsewhere for the service. read more

I had pre-ordered a new Volvo model, and paid a $500 deposit back in early 2024. The order was acknowledged via email with the car cost, and an estimated lease payment of $523.98/ month. The car was finally delivered this week, and MAG provided a quote of $840 (15K miles) and $815 (12K) for the lease payment. The car price was ~42K. After some complaining the amount was reduced to ~730. That's a difference of $316.02 or $11,376 over the term of the lease! These inflated payments did not match in any way the calculators on the Volvo website, or Edmunds.com, and there was no real explanation for the increase, but I had been previously been assured that the agreed car cost would not be affected by tariffs. Understand there are taxes etc that were not included in the estimated payment, and the market for imported cars has been pretty much blown up, but this despicable behavior from a brand that calls itself premium. And BTW, this would have been the 4th car I have bought from MAG. Never again. read more

What I received in return: nearly $300 for a "diagnostic" without a fix, a service advisor named Kelly who was rude and combative, and a repair suggestion that felt more like upselling than care. Loyalty should go both ways. This is how you lose a customer. I won't go back, and I won't be buying from them again. This is my opinion and my personal experience. read more

This place is so awful. I traveled from Michigan to this dealership to purchase a 2019 VW atlas. Upon arrival there was an issue with the car starting and the salesperson had the mechanic shop look at the vehicle and guaranteed to me that they had fixed the small issue. I purchased the vehicle and drove it back to Michigan. Unfortunately, the next day the vehicle would not start which brought me and my wife a lot of stress as we had just paid $20k cash. I reached out to the dealership about this issue and the sales team gave me responses like "let me review with my manager to see what we can do" for TWO DAYS! When I brought up possibly returning the vehicle I was given response of (direct quote) "Ohio does not require a return policy". Finally, I was given a response from the management team about the issue, and I was given a response of (direct quote) "All we are willing to do about this situation is give you $500 for a new battery". I took the vehicle to a local VW dealership and replaced the battery for $450 which thankfully resolved the issue. if that was not the case, this dealership would have screwed me. I reached back out to the dealership for reimbursement and the sales manager Ryan tried to talk me down from the reimbursement that was previously promised. (direct quote) "We have been waiting for you to provide us with a receipt so we could reimburse the expense of the new battery" even though I have text messages from his employee that said he was aware of the situation about the $500 dollar check that was needed before my conversation with him. After constant calls to the dealership following up about the money I was owed, I finally received the check for $500 (20) days after the issue was resolved and I originally was told I would be being reimbursed. All and all my experience with this dealership was terrible and the sales staff is borderline criminal. They just want your money and a commission check. I hope their management or VW reads this and something is done about how horrible I was treated. If this post gets taken down, it's because they got it taken down. read more

It's been over a month since I purchased a vehicle and I STILL don't have a second key to my vehicle. The second key I was given goes to something else. This is getting pretty absurd at this point honestly. I don't know how a dealer can't keep track of keys! Trying to get answers is like pulling teeth, constantly getting the runaround. I was in the market for a new Ferrari. Stopped by MAG to look at a new Portofino. Beautiful car, but when I asked the salesman to let me know the cost of brake replacements, I could not get an answer - evasive. Called parts and service with the same response - nothing. Now I know why - can run over $40k from three estimates I received. Exactly what I was afraid of. I passed for several reasons - the most important being deceptiveness. I've heard similar stories from others. I eventually purchased a Porsche. Just not from MAG. Never anything from MAG. read more

I do not recommend service at this dealership. The communication is terrible and so is their follow up and repairs in a timely fashion. They have had our vehicle since July 17,2025. We have to call for status. Only one person at this service location can complete the repair according to the technician. We have received one excuse and one lie after another. Now that they are finally working on it , they have the wrong part. The car was supposed to be complete in multiple occasions already which tells me if they just realized they have an incorrect part, they have not been working on it. This review is specifically for the VW service. We have been a loyal MAG customer for forever.... we are a VW family, and have had a total of 5 over the years, and have had exclusive services with MAG, ranging from simple oil changes to more extensive work with hard top convertible. Over the last few years, customer service has steadily gone downhill. There has been quite a few staff changes -- staff retention is often indicative of poor management/business. This past weekend, my husband and I had both of our cars in for an oil change, and with my car being a little older, I needed an inspection on a few things. The first car was fine, the newer. We were kept up to date on everything, and was able to easily decline services on our phone without needing to speak to someone... now with my car. We received the oil change, and declined most additional services, thought to be for a future date, minus a new battery. This is where smooth sailing ended. We were horrifically mis-quoted, leading to a new battery being +$400 - are you f-ing kidding me?? When challenged, the staff member talked away the money. He attempted to be appologetic, stating that he was still learning, would take my husband's feedback, and do better next time. He stated that he would be able to offer 10% off next time. Uh, there will NOT be a next time! When my exceptionally level headed husband stated this fact, and was markedly calm when expressing his frustration, there was nothing done to rectify this situation. It saddens me to have historically recommended MAG for a range of things, I will now (especially since reading the most recent reviews) will most certain recommend literally anyone else. In this economy, where every penny counts, MAG should simply do better. read more

Bought a car and had some issues said no problems with the car took it back to it should get the issues looked at told me that there wasn't any problems really other than a leaking it destroyed the electronics in the dash they got me out of the car which was great Chris was okay but then I called a few days later had some cash wanted to get something a little better and they won't even return my calls so no I don't recommend Midwestern anybody like that thank you read more

I recently serviced three higjhline vehicles with Midwestern Auto Group (MAG). One came back with a damaged wheel. Car two came back with a dead battery and a check engine light on. Car three came back with a large scratch directly where major work was being done on the car. Juan Galvez, platform fixed operations Director, offered no help. Despite the damage that was well documented by their dealership on the third car I referenced, he flatly refused to do anything for it. He went on to say that not only my cars, but all cars that go to their dealer can get scratched and damaged. He stated they are not responsible for this. He referenced if they took care of all the cars that were damaged at their dealership with scratches they'd be paying thousands of dollars a month to help this. After 25 years of using that dealership, this one interaction will end it. read more

I purchased a Ferarri a few years ago and sent it to Mag for service last year. Had a very positive experience. Unfortunately I had an issue with the theft deterrent system and had to send the car to Midwest for repairs in August 2024. Midwest Ferarri has had the car for over two months, It's now November. There has been zero communication as to the status of the service. I finally called a few times and received conflicting excuses as to why the car hasn't been completed. Midwest claimed that Ferarri was unable to supply the parts. Talked to Ferarri North America and they're unaware of any parts issues. Come to find out the tenured service manager Andrew quit and the service department is in complete disarray. Getting the run around. Tried to call Giovanni the owner and the GM, impossible. Land Rover Service - I have never had such bad customer service. Dropped my car off at 9:30 in the morning for an oil change (typically 2 hours), didn't hear from anyone all day. Called, no answer. Finally, someone picks up around 4:30 in the afternoon, says car won't be ready til the following day. No loaner, no apology, nothing. During that time a sales rep from there calls me asking if I want to trade in (was that the deal the whole time?). The next morning I have to call to check on the car, they give me the wrong information on another car (I hope). Finally after all of that, my car gets dropped off. You would think after all of that trouble they would discount a $400 oil change or at least take my car through the car wash for the inconvenience but there was nothing. No call from a manager, nothing. Definitely will not be going back there. read more

Finally was able to purchase my luxury car! Obtained an amazing deal on a CPO Audi Q5. In addition, I did invest with the add ons as this will be the car that I shall retire with. The service received was excellent and would recommend this dealership. read more

I went to buy a car today. I picked out the car at Land Rover, discussed numbers and the warranty. They gave me the amount and I went to the bank and got a cashier check for the amount they said it would be. When I got back to the dealership they then told me they needed more money because the warranty wasn't actually included per what the salesman (Carlos) told me. I ended up leaving and not buying the car that I wanted because it all seemed very shady that the salesman lied and they wanted more money. I'm very disappointed because I loved the car I picked out. I bought a car from this very same Land Rover in 2017 and had a wonderful experience but I wouldn't recommend them today because they seemed very dishones. read more

A customer first at Segna Volvo then MAG bought them out. We followed because we trusted our service man. We've been loyal customers for 30 years and 4 vehicles. We took our 20 year old Volvo xc70 in for service. Needed an oil change and had a noise in the rear. For 30 years they inspected our car for free this time we were charged over $175.00 to "diagnose" our problem. We were told we had to pay $3500.00 to replace parts. Yes for a 20 year old car that worth about $800.00. We refused the work but got charged over $300.00. For an oil change and for them to "diagnose" we needed shocks on the front and shocks and coils on back. The strange thing is that last year they video the under side of the car and said it looked new. So in a year a garaged all it life car had rusted out. The other problem our service man retired. I think this new service man thought they could get us and get $3500.00 out the us. Never will we return. They just lost a 30 year customer who bought 4 cars from them. read more

This review is for the Porsche Service Department only. I made an appointment to get my 10,000 mile service on my 2018 Panamera. It wasn't supposed to take long, so I grabbed my laptop (I work from home) and headed their direction. One of the service guys showed me the way to the waiting room. The inside of the dealership is NICE; we walked past Ferraris and other expensive cars in a beautiful showroom. The waiting room left something to be desired, though. It was small and furnished with a couch and some chairs, and there was a one-stall bathroom at one end. (Every time someone came in to use it, I could hear everything.) It was just not what I was expecting after seeing the rest of the dealership. I started working. After noticing that no one had checked on me or given me an update in a while (like, 3 hours), I walked downstairs to the service desk to ask what was going on. They told me they were checking one last thing and it should only be 20 more minutes. Ok... I went back to the waiting room. At this point, my computer started dying; I did not expect to be here this long so I didn't bring my power cord. ONE HOUR LATER, I went downstairs again. They were still working. At this point, my husband was off work and was just going to drive across Columbus to come pick me up and take me home. We ended up leaving the car there and coming back the next day. I wasn't as mad that they had my car for that long...it was the fact that they did NOT check on me or keep me updated with what was going on. I literally sat alone in a small room listening to people use the bathroom for 4+ hours. (Also, they called my chalk-white Porsche "grey," which is a big no-no.) We now go to another dealership for service. read more

I needed keys fast for a Bentley and Steve was able to put in an urgent order for me and Will made sure that they were programmed right away. Will also did me the favor of taking pictures of the vehicle when it arrived And kept me informed the whole time. He certainly went above and beyond. After years of being a Ford & Honda family and 40 years of dealing only with two dealerships for vehicle purchases and service, we ventured out of our comfort zone and looked at Volvo. After weeks of lot shopping and internet research, we decided to start with our hometown dealer, MAG Volvo. When we arrived, we were greeted by Justin Snowden who answered every question and look care of every need. Although we were expecting to purchase new, we were shown a 2019 Volvo Certified that was in perfect condition and low miles. It was competitively priced, meeting the market research we had conducted for cars that we not factory certified. The purchase experience was second to none. Everything was handled promptly and with wonderful customer service. There were no surprises nor did they attempt to needlessly "upsell" us on other add-ons. Rick in the finance department was great to work with as well. Just a kind, straightforward guy who made the experience pleasant. Carlos oversaw the entire transaction and provided wonderful customer service as well. We felt like we were in good hands from start to finish. We were in no hurry to purchase and would have walked away if we felt we were oversold, pressured or ignored/dismissed. None of that happened at MAG Volvo. Thanks to MAG for having the best staff and the best selection/options. read more

Service is absolutely horrible here. From the first time you enter the service area, the guys are not friendly and do not communicate with you. I can excuse the fact that they messed up fixing a recall part, but don't act like I am a bother when I have to turn around and come right back for you to fix. They had no explanation as to what happened. They never communicated anything during any of the service after waiting 4 hours. Also, I needed a part that controls the climate control. It is summer and I have no A/C. Service said it will be in, in about 3-4 business days. Since I didn't hear back from anyone in over week, I called and they said the order was cancelled. So now we wait again. Surveys are not responded to which shows poor customer care. read more

Purchased a 2013 Volvo at MAG in late September 2015. I certainly should have paid attention when I had to go search for a sales associate just to purchase a vehicle. MAG obviously is not concerned about customer retention. After a week, the service light came on. Took it in to the service department 6 weeks later (yesterday). I pull into the Volvo service area and no one even acknowledged me. I finally asked if I were in the right place for service and they told me it would be a moment. I received a loner car and the car was dirty inside & was on a 1/4 tank of gas. The did not ask for insurance information or review the exterior of the vehicle for dings. Also, once I arrived home the schedule service light was still on and the car has the same issues that lead to me bringing it in. My previous experience with car service centers is very welcoming and accommodating. I won't come back to MAG. read more

I've been going to MAG for 20 years; they're on my speed dial. Never bought a car here, but I use the service or, more often, the parts departments. I'm a mix of amused and embarrassed when I bring my little VW here with all the fancy Porsches. They do a good job, though. The parts department is excellent. They know me and my car, and are knowledgeable and helpful. MAG is continually expanding and threatening to take over Dublin. They have so many makes, generally high-end. It's fun to just go and walk around, windowshop and dream. read more

They have the worst service I have ever had to deal with in the automotive industry. They did not return calls for days, they said they had only had the car a couple days when they had it for a week, they over charge so badly my insurance company doesn't want to deal with them ($500 to replace a battery?!?!), and they did not link obviously related damage to my break in, so my insurance will not cover it. I have video of someone breaking into my car during a thunderstorm, leaving the door open. You would think USAA would not give me any trouble covering the water damages, but these guys would not link many of the electrical problems to the water damage, and gouged so badly, my insurance was on the defensive from the beginning. When I got to the vehicle, the alarm malfunctioned, burning out the hood door, and fuel servos, but they said everything but the hood was unrelated. Anyone who owns a Boxster knows they all activate with the alarm, and if it is under water, it appears they can all short burning them all out. MAG Porsche said the passenger door lock, and fuel servo were not related to the water damage (but somehow the hood was) and my insurance will not cover it... Their service is terrible, and the diagnostics is incompetent or lazy and complacent. There was also a big scratch on the passenger door (which they tried to fix, but did not as well with the fuel door, and all the alarm locking mechanisms, which STILL do not work), but that could have been the tow truck company, so I cannot hold them undeniably responsible. read more

I will try to keep this long review objective and to the point. 06/22/19- I go to MAG Audi in Dublin and purchase a used 2013 Audi A7 with 57,700 miles. I am told there is no warrantee on the vehicle. I ask what has been done, and what type of inspection has been performed to ensure that everything is up to date and the vehicle is without fault. I am told MAG does a full inspection, and they have multiple reputable dealerships all through the Midwest and will not sell without a comprehensive checks and maintenance. I ask this question at least twice during the purchasing process and am quoted a full assessment and MAG's reputation as collateral. I don't press further. I am told twice to sign that I understand the vehicle comes without warrantee but am never offered one (at least verbally, although it could have been on those forms signed). As we are about to drive off with the new car that day we close the door and an interior panel on the passenger side falls off. I am told to bring it back the next business day and they will handle it. I bring it the next business day, and the have to order a part for it. While there I ask specifically to purchase a warrantee and am referred to the finance department. There a gentleman shows a calculation on the computer to obtain the prices for different options. Part of the calculation is done on a computer screen and then using outputs from the computer he would do a final calculation on a hand held calculator. I leave the room and call my father to discuss the quotes. I return with a warrantee in mind to purchase. However, the price he states is not what was originally quoted (to my recollection). He insists on the price he recalls. I ask that he perform the calculation as he just did when speaking previously and after some resistance he obliges. The number he gets is different than the number I recall or the one he does. We go through this exercise multiple times and he is never able to come up with a consistent price. I leave without a warrantee. Over the next month I bring the car in twice to get that panel fixed and for a squeaking stiff feeling when turning the steering wheel. I noticed these on the first day and they were fixed without charge. 10/24- I bring my car in for the 60,000 check-up. At that time, I am told the vehicle was behind on service check ups since about the 35,000 mark. As such there were belts, filters, spark plugs, etc. that needed to be replaced. I explained that was not what was told to me on purchase of the vehicle. They acknowledge I was given wrong information but initially state I would be responsible for costs. I explain I need everything fixed because I cannot have an unreliable car with my work. We could discuss the costs afterward but I felt having me cover all that was unacceptable. After initial resistance they tell me they will cover the catchup charges and I would cover the 60k costs. I pay $299.26 11/6- I review the paperwork and see that they recommended changing my brakes, rotor, and tires which I was never asked if I wanted taken care of. I was frustrated that yet again I would need to take off from work to go to the dealership. I return and pay $2411.10 to have new tires and brakes installed, thinking this would be the end of issues with the car. 11/25- Less than 3 weeks later my EPC light comes on and we find my starter relays need to be replaced. This part had to be ordered and would not come for a few days. I ask for a loaner car and am told they will need to look into it. They finally bring one the following day with a quarter tank of gas (I have pictures). I express my concern to the service manager regarding the multiple missed days of work, money I've paid, and how the car was misrepresented. He states he will let the sales manager know and they will get in touch with me. The following day I am called to pick up my vehicle. They state sales states there is nothing they can do as the car was bought as is but I can talk to finance about purchasing a warrantee. This is told to me by the service manager. Sales that misrepresented the car to me never calls to reach out. The service manager is at lunch when I go to pick up my vehicle. I pay $535.94. To summarize I have had this vehicle for 5 months, and less than 4,000 miles. The car that MAG Audi Dublin staked their reputation to me on has cost me $3248 and about 10 days worth of either missed days at work or inability to transport. I have absolutely no confidence in the vehicle at this juncture. I won't go into the delays in communication, or the failure of management to validate and pacify concerns on multiple occasions. I have no legal footing in this matter, but as a reputation was staked on my satisfaction in MAG Audi Dublin's product and services the day I purchased the vehicle, the record should show exactly what that reputation is. read more

I decided to buy this 2017 A4 on my second visit. After we agreed on the price, I paid the deposit. I asked their finance how long it would take to make up the payment and he told me within a month, they didn't state in the contract when it would take to make up the full payment. I also attached $200 for them to make up the stone scratches around the car for me. Three or four days later, they called me with an extremely bad attitude and told me to pay the full amount today, if you don't, the car is no longer yours, and insisted that they told me to pay the full amount within this month, especially their general manager, who hung up in the middle of our call. When I went to make up the full payment, I said I should check the car before I pay. Some stone scratches on the front of the car were not completely repaired, and their salesman insisted that they only let them repair the right front of the car, which still have scratches on it. The right rear of the car showed signs of having been repaired after the collision. Their salesman stood by and insisted that the marks were there before, but it wasn't there when I checked car for the first time. I guessed that after I paid the deposit, someone else came to test drive the car or their salesman accidentally hit it while driving so he called me in such a hurry to make up the full payment. I had no choice but to make up the full amount because I didn't want to lose the deposit. Please be sure to read the contract when you buy a car from this store, especially if you are a foreigner, and don't talk business with their general manager, he is very rude. Please take a video of the car if you decide to buy it, or they might damage the car and not admit it. The spare carpet is also gone. read more

My husband and I went into the MAG Porsche showroom this afternoon. We were not greeted, we were not acknowledged. Our guess is that because we were wearing casual clothing and we arrived in a pickup truck (albeit a 2020 pickup truck) we were "pre-disqualified." I wrote them a note on Facebook but it appears they only publish GOOD reviews -- explaining the 5-star rating they allow themselves. As I told them in my note, they should've listened to Julia Roberts' Pretty Woman character Vivian: "Big mistake. Big. Huge." We have 2 Corvettes and 2 Porsches in addition to the new truck.These idiots won't be getting our business! read more

I bought a Porsche Panamera from MAG Porsche after viewing photos and a video they produced. After the car was delivered to CA, I immediately noticed it had damage to the rear bumper and spoiler. I immediately contacted them and was told by the finance mgr. they should have told me about the damage since it wasn't visible from the video and CARFAX reported no accidents. They then gave me the run-around for over two weeks only to finally be told they would not repair the damage or offer any compensation since the damage was factored into the price! What??? Not by me, as I didn't know about it and wouldn't have purchased the car if I did. MAG turned what should have been a great experience into an extremely disappointing and costly one. Over $2000 for repairs I had to pay. They also understated the car's mileage by over 200 miles, delivered the car on empty and gave me a broken key fob. I contacted the Better Business Bureau however, I doubt this dealership will respond given the extremely poor manner in which I've been treated by John Viel and MAG throughout this process. I recently took my car to a Mid Western Auto (MAG) for a door lock issue here in Columbus Ohio.  I normally say,  no car wash please because they don't have a brushless wash.   The  manager  of the intake staff was the one to look over my car.   We talked about how, clean my car was for a 2013 and thanked him.   Also telling him I just had hand washed it myself because of an something happening to one of my other cars. The manager came to me 2 hrs later,  and low and behold, my car had been washed!   Covered with water droplets!   I was upset.  Came home,  washed and dried my car again because of water spots.   Found issues, which I took a picture.Since I left their business and the reported after leaving.   They have no obligation to repair!A lesson well learned,  which I already knew.   Not sure why someone would wash a sparkling car? NOT impressed with the service and staff! To start, I am not an unreasonable or pretentious person. Reason for my visit was to have several recalls fixed and have the oil changed on my Audi. Both times entering their building, when originally dropping off and picking up, I was met by a staff that darn near ignored me. Stood around the agents desks for several minutes with multiple staff members walking past me before someone acknowledged I was even there. When picking up my car, after already confirming several hours earlier it would be ready, I show up to 2 agents fumbling around to locate where my car was only to be met with information after a 15min delay that they are still working on it. Fast forward an hour, they FINALLY have it ready. Just how everyone wants to spend their Saturday evening after a day of work, any offer to ameliorate their mistake of wasting my time, NO. So in total, what should have taken 5min to pay for and secure my car, took 1.5 hours! Also would have been nice for them to have provided a loaner car, salesman stated you have to set that up at least 2 weeks in advance. Considering I made the appointment 3 weeks out for them to secure the parts, would have been nice for them to have let me know that or inquired regarding potential need for a loaner. read more

At the end of march, I purchased the "car of the year" 2015 GTI. Long story short, I took the car back because they never removed the suspension shipping holds, that resulted in a pounding ride, essentially the car had no suspension. Then my driver's assistance package failed. I took it in waited 4 hrs and was told I would have to bring it back, was charged 50$ for my time. Dropped car off following Monday, they had it for four days and accused me of wrecking the car. A piece of the front valence was loose and they said they needed to recalibrate the sensors. I of course, blamed the lack of suspension for any damage, due to the fact every time my car was on less than even pavement I thought wheels were going to crash into the cock pit. MAG refused any responsibility. So they "recalibrated it" popped the valence back into place and was charged another 250$. I made it to Sawmill and Bethel and the problem comes back. I drop it off for a fourth time, they had it for 2 weeks this time. They charge me 870$ for 2 small plastic pieces and "full"recalibration. All told 1200$ for a factory option that costs 695 new, on a car with 1500 miles on it that's only 3 months old. To top it off the service manager Stan, was condescending, rude and in no way accommodating. There was no apology for the cost, time or quality of care. When I asked about the lengthy amount of time the vehicle was in their possession, i was told that I could have come and got it at anytime, despite the fact that no one advised me of this. His statement was that since the issue with the vehicle wasn't affecting the cars ability to drive, I should have known this. While I, was in no way, happy with the service from other employees, none of them were as rude and recalcitrant as the one in charge. Tl:dr 1200$ and 3 weeks spent on a brand new car. I wish I could recommend MAG, I really do, because the building is stylish and fun, and they sell some really sweet cars. But I can't. My wife and I bought a new VW Jetta at MAG in 1999, and had no issues with the sale itself. The car came with a few free oil changes, so I got into a habit of taking my car to MAG (a 30-minute drive for me) for that job. Never once did an oil change take less than an hour. Usually it was closer to two hours... even when I scheduled the earliest possible appointment (7:30 a.m.). How is it possible that Jiffy Lube can do it in 10 minutes but the big fancy dealership can't? Eventually I realized how silly I was for wasting my time, and I started taking my car elsewhere for oil changes and other mechanical work. However, I did return to MAG one more time (on invitation) to try out the new Jetta when it came out. While there, I entered a contest and won a free satellite radio. Without getting into all the sordid details, my quest to actually obtain this radio involved me driving to MAG (remember, 30 minutes) at least four times, and each time being told I couldn't have it yet, for a variety of reasons. When I finally got it, I realized it was the cheapest base model and regretted picking it up at all. That's the day my MAG boycott began. Later, I began a boycott of all VW dealerships, based on the fact that my oxygen sensor has gone out seven (7) times between two Jettas, yet was only under recall for six of those times. Purchased a vehicle from Land Rover Dublin in March of this year. So far, I am very happy with the vehicle and the price seemed fair. So why two stars, "Meh, I've experienced better"? Well, my husband I and stopped in February to look at the LR we wound up purchasing. We spoke to the salesman who gave us their asking price (which we knew from the website). We told him we were very interested and gave him our card. The LR was used, we asked what their bottom line cash price would be. He said he would have to check and would be happy to contact us. We heard nothing. Crickets You would think in this crappy economy, prospects showing interest in a vehicle would be contacted. Nothing. Two weeks later we went back, test -drove the vehicle and again spoke to the (same) salesman (who we asked for). We again asked for the best price and when I returned home I followed up with an email thank him for the test drive and make it easier for him to follow-through this time. A week or so later, I received an email stating the internet price. This was odd, since he had said in person that he could do a little better (he was the one to extended this offer - twice now). Still waiting - crickets A week later, we finally receive a price which is slightly better than the internet price, no mention of title fees which I also requested. He included a price for an extended warranty, but it was incomplete because it didn't include the term (2, 3 or 4yr) or other pertinent details. So this is ridiculous right? Land Rover is a premium brand. You would expect follow-up. I was not expecting white glove service, but I do expect them to make a little effort. I don't like being 'hounded' by a salesperson, but basic follow-through on commitments made is not too much to expect. A used LR could be the 'gateway drug' to a new LR, right? Right! We purchased the vehicle, a process which also left a lot to be desired. We paid cash, so there was no financing, yet we were shuttled to a central financing area to sign the papers. That in itself wasn't bad, we drove our LR over with the salesperson in the car. The car was taken to be washed and detailed, and the salesperson came in to deliver the papers to the finance guy. We waited FOREVER before we were called back to sign. There was no excuse for the long wait, all the information was already in the system, and it takes five minutes to print all the papers, we felt disrespected by the considerable time with no follow-up as to why. After an hour, we were called back to the finance person and our salesman left. The finance person quite obviously just wanted us to sign and leave. He made no effort to build rapport, and was quite pointed when he said, "you didn't buy the extended warrant?, that surprises me", he shook his head and made us feel like there was something wrong with the LR that we didn't know about. He said nothing that wasn't required and exuded a negative attitude. Had my husband been there alone to close the deal, he would have walked out without making the purchase, and I have to admit I was close to doing the same. Midwest Auto Group of which Land Rover of Dublin is a part is an impressive dealership. Aesthetically their campus is amazing, but I received better follow-up and more interest by a salesman over at their Aston Martin building, and that gentleman knew that we were not going to be purchasing an AM! I ordered optional parts at a discount at the time of purchase to be installed once the parts were received. I did receive a call that the parts were in several weeks after their arrival. A week or more elapsed after each contact for an appointment before the appointment time was actually booked. I then had to remind them that the cost of the parts and labor to install had been discounted. I also had to hound them for parts that I was owed that were documented in the sales documents. Overall, from start to finish I would estimate that 20% of my requests and messages were followed up on, and most of them with a severely long lag between the request and the follow-up. In writing this review, it has occurred to me that I did most of the work, and had we not gone back, and made repeated calls and emails, nothing would have happened. Perhaps I should have left it that way. I know MAG is capable. Their BMW Service area is very professionally run, follow-up is thorough and as one would expect. The LR franchise needs a stable in-house manager. I believe they have had several in the last year or so which is indicative of internal problems. There is no disapline in the sales or service staff. My last contact with the dealership was three phone calls to the man who schedules the service, and one phone call to my salesperson to leave a message about scheduling the service, NONE of which were returned. I finally got my appointment by calling and getting a hold of the head technician who finally scheduled my appointment. read more

Think about the worst car salesmen you've ever met (slimy, lying, shifty, etc). Whatever you're picturing, these guys are worse. I owned 2004 Discovery that I loved. I was ready to purchase a new LR4 and trade it in without hesitation. The salesman they hooked me up with was so slow, insulting and condescending that I walked out. Spent 40 minutes walking back and forth to "the bosses office". Offering me the same price three times cut up three different ways. Apparently I'm dumb enough to fall for that one. I absolutely wanted the car. They couldn't sell it to me. I drove over to the MAG Audi lot and purchased an Audi Q7 that afternoon. A week later the LR salesman called and asked if I was interested in a LR2. Too late, and not the car I wanted. read more
