There is also a place to recycle old batteries, electronics, paint and old flags. Closed on Mondays and Sundays. Along the sidewalk there is a free shelf where anyone can take or leave items that can still be used. You can even request items on the bulletin board. Mary is very nice and always there. She also runs the Recycling Center for the Arts. This room inside of the building has a ton of free resources and materials for teachers at non-profit schools to take back to their classroom for use. I've been "shopping" there for two years and have stocked my room with many wonderful materials! Businesses can donate to this project as well as individuals.

He couldn't stop or slow down, with more than half a mile of visual in advance, because there were two cars behind him. The first vehicle stopped, thinking he hit me, the second was my husband pulling into our driveway. Then he said she ran out in front of him. She didn't. She was facing me and not on his side of the road. He swerved and hit her on purpose- she wasn't even on his side of the road and was closer to our ditch, as you will see, did his turn around at the end of the road, then came back for our trash, making sure to hit her and drag her down the road and smear her into the road some more in front of my whole family. He was going, easily, 60mph. Last week, my husband was out there and got two kids on the side of the road out of there when he came barreling down this blind curve and hill, and he didn't even slow for them. So, if you had two kids on bikes at the trails or Sugar Creek last Monday, they almost died because this guy is too tweaked to pay attention to the road. A couple years ago, he swerved to miss the Sugar Creek Tour bus and ended up halfway across the acre of my side yard while we had company and kids were playing in my yard. I reported him for that and nothing was done. A few days later, several of my grandma's friends, and my grandma, called to tell me that he was giving our address and names to people saying we don't pay our bills. He didn't know they knew me. I don't even know this guy from Adam. Just a head's up. If you try to cancel, they tell you it doesn't matter, it won't hurt their business. They literally do not give a fuck about you, your kids, your pets- only your money- and to emphasize that in case anyone wondered, while I was out there trying to get my girl off the road, after he came back through and smeared her again, screaming and losing my mind, he in fact informed us we could fuck off, you know, instead of apologizing. 0/10 for these SICK MONSTERS.

They were fast, provided a receipt without even asking, and after looking into their history and the impact they've had as a workplace for ex-offenders I'm proud to have supported them! There is a small fee for TVs, monitors, and HVAC/refrigerant products. It was $25 to recycle my TV but the price of mind that it wasn't simply headed for a landfill was worth it.

They are located across town from me, but they were the only ones still opened, so we made the trip. They are located in an older but well maintained strip mall. There is plenty of parking, but we used the curbside service. We drove up and a fellow met us at our car and provided us with a quote to destroy our papers and hard drive. $25 total. We were invited inside to watch the shredding, but we were able to watch from outside easily and the ceiling mirrors help you see everything. We never had to go inside and our materials were shredded/destroyed in a matter of minutes. We paid curbside with our credit card. The staff was friendly and professional. I highly recommend and will use them in the future.

I then sat and watched them shred all my stuff. There is a huge mirror behind/above them, so you can make sure there's no funny business going on. It took them 45 minutes to destroy all my stuff, due to the high volume. They methodically and efficiently took care of business. I don't know their names, but the name "Damon" was on my receipt. This leaves a LOT of things that still need to be recycled, but with no home. Rock-Tenn is that home. Rock-Tenn will take nearly everything. Plastics 1-7, cardboard, even phone books. In fact they have a special dumpster for phone books. So the next time you go out to your mailbox, see the stack of phone books that have been left, wonder why we still need paper phone books in 2011, then decide to get rid of them, take them here. Pros: - They are a single sort facility so you don't have to separate your plastics from glass and such, but try not to throw garbage in their bins. - Their gates are typically open 24 hours, but even if they are not, you can park outside them and walk a short distance (20ft) to the bins. - The bins are very large so there's plenty of room, especially in the back because most people are too lazy to walk to the back of the bins. Cons: - Their parking lot puts on a clinic on how to make white mud. If you just washed your car or are wearing your vintage chucks, i recommend parking in the road area otherwise your wheel wells and shoes will be covered. -They don't take Styrofoam. Yes, I know it's typically #6, but their facility doesn't have the machine to handle it properly. -Lazy patrons tend to not pick up their dropped recycling, so the area around the bins is often littered with lazy people evidence.
