Welcome to our nightmare! We bought a new Ratcliff Home, 3…read morebedroom 2/2bath 3 car garage upon moving from Arizona, to be closer to our grandkids. We moved in February, 2025, snow on the ground, we were so excited! During next few months we started noting issues with quality of work on the interior. Also when the rains came we had issues water flooding onto our property and the asphalt driveway retaining water. Issues interior: dishwasher not installed properly, kitchen cabinet cracked in back, closet rack master bedroom broken, thin drywall, doors not closing properly of dragging on carpet, fireplace mantel not attached to wall, sliding back door no lock installed, wood on front of house not painted or front door, 3rd bedroom heating/a/c duct not hooked up, poor finished trim work, toilet left with urine in it from construction crew, no final walk thru with builder. Exterior: lot over graded all top soil removed exposing tree roots, no culvert installed under driveway allowing water from East to West flooding onto our property, asphalt driveway looks like it's 25 years old, numerous divots from construction equipment drive way retains excessive amounts of water and puddles, requires brooming to clear water retention, property does not draining properly from South to North. We have made so many calls to Jim Ratcliff Homes to the point they will not respond any more. Early on they have sent different contractors out to look at above issues, however, no one ever returns. So we are left with a new 350K home and our nightmare.

Contracted installers wittingly had a remedy. This created extra pad and the need to order more lament flooring. The salesperson went to bat for me for a concession for the error. However the owner certainly did not put the customer first. Coming from a family who owned businesses locally, I strive to stay local. However, customer service from our family's perspective always comes first. This is clearly not the goal for Stevenson's. I would not recommend doing business with a business that doesn't stand behind their employees or put customers first.

Very disappointed with my local Ace Hardware store.. trying to stay local for my buying needs but…read moreunfortunately the customer service there is not too willing to go over and above to remedy a slight problem that I'm sure would be an easy fix with a simple phone call to get this appliance sold to a local customer......this is why we do go to the bigger chains in other towns to get what we need.. and then we hear all the time please shop local.. well it works both ways... the business also needs to take care of the locals that are willing to spend their money in these smaller local businesses... I'll be buying all my future needs elsewhere where they are willing and wanting to get the sale...

This…read moreis the only hardware store close to us and it makes us very uncomfortable to see so many people without masks throughout the store. Other stores are making an effort to make the shopping experience safe for everyone, and it does not seem like Home Depot is doing enough. We did also have difficulty getting to a few of the items we needed. The boards we were trying to sort through were very warped and actually frozen together, which made it a little difficult and more time-consuming to get what we needed. Employees were helpful and willing to retrieve the next set of boards for us. The staff is always very kind and we can generally find everything we need here. My only real issue is not adhering to COVID precautions -- hopefully they can make a change and create a safe place to shop!

Guy sat at his computer and looked up the part then he got up and went and got it. He came back and didn't say a word, didn't compare it to the old 1, just started to ring it up. I said how much is it. He said $49.99. I said I can't buy that. He got upset and said "why didn't u tell me, I wouldn't have wasted my time. " I said sorry, I've been sent by my mother in law to find the cheapest belt. He said "I don't care about her problems or yours." I said I've been sent to do a task. That's all I'm trying to do. Then he called me a dumb ass. Busenbark bark has definitely lost my business.
