Of course, it took a minute to locate me. But once they did, I was properly setup in just a few minutes. This was for an eye exam and optic nerve photos. I was told the visit would be 1-4 hours so I expected it to take a while. My physician was on-call which left her dealing with emergency patients while conducting her scheduled patients. At one point I played a game of "What are the differences between Exam Room A and Exam Room B" during my longest wait which was 30 minutes. It's an industry issue - same types of waits at my former eye physician office as well. Even with the wait, the appointment ended up being 3 hours and 20 minutes. All the staff were pleasant. I felt like an individual who was being heard. The decor was generally scarlet and (mostly) grey with some black thrown in. There is a little "cafe" on the first floor but it looks like it's really just a place to pick up a snack or drink while they are open. The building is next to the Spectrum Building at Gowdy Field and is easy to get in and out of. I didn't notice any bike racks. There is a traffic light there but at busy times of day, people will run it, so be careful!

When I originally went in for a Diabetic eye exam after losing my pancreas transplant, she immediately did laser surgery because I'd developed advanced diabetic retinopathy in my right eye, with no symptoms. She saved my vision! I went in every 6 weeks for 3.5 years and I'm now down to every 8 weeks. We've been doing injections for the past year or so. All of the nurses and imaging specialists are wonderful. I've been to each location and they have signs letting you know that due to their specialty, appointments may take hours. This particular location has a small waiting room once you're called back, but it's manageable. For the care I've received, I couldn't recommend them more! A special note: Gabby (one of the nurses) was super helpful by suggesting I keep my eye drops refrigerated to help soothe the scratchiness post treatment. She also explained everything she was doing!

When I first established care with Dr. ____ , I was in remission and had no active inflammation, and I felt as if he did not believe I had Uveitis. He googled my old Opthamologist, told me I'm fine, and after a few follow-up appointments of being told I'm fine (verbatim) I stopped seeing him until I had a flareup in June 2025. I had an emergency visit with Dr. Buzzacco (way better bedside manner and explanation, at the practice in Dublin) to confirm it was a flareup, and put on a pred taper to hit the nail on it's head. Only a week later, when I got to visit Dr. ____, he told me I was fine and didn't see any inflammation in my eyes. He ended up sending me to another location to get pictures of the backs of my eyes to confirm all of the inflammation that was hiding, and gave me two steroid shots to help the initial inflammation, with some daily meds he chose. Every appointment since then I go through the process of bloodwork, waiting HOURS in his office, spending MAX 5 minutes with Dr. ____, and being told 'You'll be fine, Monica. See you in 4-6 weeks.' What for? What about my bloodwork? What about my inflammed tattoo I reached out about? Why am I on immunosuppressant medication while I go into preschools and senior living facilities for work? I got actively disregarded in the portal to talk to Dr. ____ and disregarded in his office too. There was absolutely no concern for me in his care. Finally in Dec 2025 I decided to get a second opinion, and without asking, all of those above concerns of mine were mentioned and tackled in my first appointment. I could ask questions and ask about all of the big medical terms i've heard over the years. TLDR: Dr. ______ is good for an initial bandaid by getting steroid shots, but if you want to find out your root cause of the disease you have, seek help elsewhere. Dr. ______ shares no concern and the most common phrase out of his mouth is 'you'll be fine.' Edited to omit his name, but you can find this review on his main Dr. review page. Thanks for reading.

I missed some appointments due to my family members being ill. He was upset and said he's fucked because he needs my labs every 6 weeks. understandable, however circumstances were beyond my control, and the family member passed away. The only person I was hurting was me. I signed paperwork acknowledging the drugs could be dangerous, not him. He then said well your eyes look fine we're just stopping all the meds, and make an appointment if I have any other issues. It felt like I was being dismissed and he was trying to tell me I still needed to keep the appointments. well I did not have another caregiver and she was bedridden. he didn't even acknowledge I said she died. I think in all the years 4 every 6 weeks I may have spent a total of 1 hr with him.

When I first arrived, my appointment time should have been at 2 o'clock, but the person made it for 2 but a month later. They were able to squeeze me in a little later that day, so I sat in the waiting room and waited. No real apology, just kept saying I don't know what she was thinking. When I first went back, I was with Jill a technician who was highly rude. I felt so uncomfortable. I tried to start conversation to potentially break the ice, but she was so stoned faced and rude. Anytime she would ask me a question it would be accompanied by an odd look. She just looked like she wanted to be somewhere else. The other technicians were friendly and fine. Almost towards the end of my visit I first saw Maha Jabbar, OD. She was nice and friendly, but when she left the room came back she told me that they failed to do an eye exam that was supposed to be done prior to my eyes being dilated so she wasn't sure what prescription I should go with. Right before leaving, I met Doctor Erdey. He was just OK. He mentioned that I needed to just go to Walgreens and play around with the strengths. He said not to get readers but actual glasses and I have yet to find a place that has glasses at Walgreens that are not readers. I did ask him if I was near or farsighted and he said both so I was unsure of what type of glasses to really look for. I then asked him if he thought it would be easier or better for me just to get a prescription and he said go to Walgreens first and then get back to me in a month. Obviously he didn't want to prescribe me anything because they failed to do testing before being dilated. Instead of coming back, he kept telling me how it was just cheaper to go to Walgreens. In all honesty, I'm not even sure if what he told me was correct because when I went to try them on at Walgreens, I couldn't see very well with them. I don't understand why they wouldn't just ask me to come back another day. I wholeheartedly regret going here and I wish I could take it all back. What is more disappointing is due to my insurance, I can only get this type of eye exam once a year. I will now have to wait a whole year before I can see another doctor. Please do your research before choosing them.
