Dr. ___ failed me in many ways. From my very first appointment with him, I was in remission and wanting to establish care with an opthamologist in Ohio (Early 2023), to my recent visits since I had a Uveitis flareup, he has failed me. When I first established care with Dr. ____ , I was in remission and had no active inflammation, and I felt as if he did not believe I had Uveitis. He googled my old Opthamologist, told me I'm fine, and after a few follow-up appointments of being told I'm fine (verbatim) I stopped seeing him until I had a flareup in June 2025. I had an emergency visit with Dr. Buzzacco (way better bedside manner and explanation, at the practice in Dublin) to confirm it was a flareup, and put on a pred taper to hit the nail on it's head. Only a week later, when I got to visit Dr. ____, he told me I was fine and didn't see any inflammation in my eyes. He ended up sending me to another location to get pictures of the backs of my eyes to confirm all of the inflammation that was hiding, and gave me two steroid shots to help the initial inflammation, with some daily meds he chose. Every appointment since then I go through the process of bloodwork, waiting HOURS in his office, spending MAX 5 minutes with Dr. ____, and being told 'You'll be fine, Monica. See you in 4-6 weeks.' What for? What about my bloodwork? What about my inflammed tattoo I reached out about? Why am I on immunosuppressant medication while I go into preschools and senior living facilities for work? I got actively disregarded in the portal to talk to Dr. ____ and disregarded in his office too. There was absolutely no concern for me in his care. Finally in Dec 2025 I decided to get a second opinion, and without asking, all of those above concerns of mine were mentioned and tackled in my first appointment. I could ask questions and ask about all of the big medical terms i've heard over the years. TLDR: Dr. ______ is good for an initial bandaid by getting steroid shots, but if you want to find out your root cause of the disease you have, seek help elsewhere. The office staff is fantastic. The nurses, the clinicians and front office. Dr Klisovic is a good doctor but has terrible manners. I missed some appointments due to my family members being ill. He was upset and said he's fucked because he needs my labs every 6 weeks. understandable, however circumstances were beyond my control, and the family member passed away. The only person I was hurting was me. I signed paperwork acknowledging the drugs could be dangerous, not him. He then said well your eyes look fine we're just stopping all the meds, and make an appointment if I have any other issues. It felt like I was being dismissed and he was trying to tell me I still needed to keep the appointments. well I did not have another caregiver and she was bedridden. he didn't even acknowledge I said she died. I think in all the years 4 every 6 weeks I may have spent a total of 1 hr with him. read more

For those who might need special treatment for Macular Degeneration or some other Ophthalmologic treatment, Dr. Lomeo and Midwest Retina would be the place to go. Although it is really painful to me to watch my wife get an injection in her eye, even though it is numbed, it looks like it would be the most painful thing imaginable for her to experience. Understandably the patient must be awake to receive treatment, but I watch this happen each visit and still cringe as the needle gets closer to her eye. Mark D. Lomeo and Midwest Retina, located on east off of W. Broad St. and downtown in the Arena district at 262 Neil Ave., third floor is one of the best you can find in this field. He and his staff are wonderful at putting patients at their ease and make an otherwise anxious visit a little more palatable. As you enter the office, the professionalism and caring atmosphere are very evident. They are aware, whether this is your first appointment or you've been coming for a long time, I see how they warmly welcome the patient and family member with them. As you might imagine, it is important for the patient to bring someone with them so that the fully sighted person can drive home. So, I would hope that you never need such services. But since Macular Degeneration is genetic you might know someone or you yourself might need the professional services of such a doctor and facility. read more

One star only because zero is not a provided option. Midwest Retina on Neil Road in Columbus, Ohio, is the worst health cafe facility Ive ever heard of. After traveling 1.5 miles in the snow, the doctor, an ophthalmologist, refused to see a patient because she wasn't wearing a mask. The individual was ordered out of the facility and sent away with a severely detached retina. As she was being escorted out, an employee muttered, "I hope you get Covid and die." read more

I am not sure their surgery is all that it should be. I was returning for a follow-up on a procedure performed 3 years prior and that eye is almost visionless now. Some of the staff are very unprofessional. In the front waiting area, you can hear the staff talk about patients and sometimes make rude observations about the patients. I left after waiting for 1 hour and 20 minutes and being told by the staff that it could take up to 2 hours to see the doctor. read more

was appalled by the recent behavior and unprofessionalism I witnessed by one of your employees - someone whom I hope is not representative of your company as a whole. When you hear what transpired, I am sure you will agree. When I recently took my mother to her eye appointment on 1/7/21 to see Dr. Chorich I was applaud by the behavior I witnessed from one of your nurses. I am not sure of the circumstances or what transpired but she very loudly in front of multiple patients in the waiting area was screaming at another employee using very inappropriate and foul language. She then slammed the other employees door and began acting very unprofessional, continuing to slam things around on her desk in front of patients, crying and speaking to other employees bad mouthing the other nurse. I was mortified for your office, Dr. Chorich the patients that had to witness this behavior. I was so dumbfounded by this inappropriate behavior. I find it hard to believe that you would knowingly employ such a abrasive, and unprofessional nurse. read more

Today I took my mother to the Taylor Station Rd office for her 4th shot in her eye. At first everyone was nice but today was different. They cram people in like a meat market and we waited in the waiting area about 10 or 15 minutes then did the usual tests and put us in another waiting area where we sat for over 45 minutes. When I told one of the girls we had been waiting that long she rudely said the doctor had some emergencies, which I'm sure they're told to say, and then told me I needed to pull my mask up! I think they misplaced her file but they would never admit that. Ok first of all there's no social distancing in that office and they may wipe down the front waiting area but not the back one. Finally see the doctor who normally apologizes for waiting but not today! How about not scheduling so many people at one time. They act like you or your time isn't important to them. My poor 84 year old mother won't be returning We'll find an office that has time for us. read more

I did not have the same experience as the previous posters regarding wait time. I had to reschedule my appointment the day before, and they were able to move my appointment from 9am to 2pm. I also forgot the paperwork I was given beforehand, so I was prepared to wait awhile (based on Yelp reviews). However, I was called back maybe five minutes after completing my paperwork and was able to see the doctor shortly after completing the preliminary tests with the nurses. The only thing I would advise is be prepared to have your eyes dilated, as there is a sign at the office saying they dilate at pretty much every appointment. read more

I am amazed at the disregard for HIPAA privacy laws. This receptionist is talking very loudly on the phone .... the whole waiting area can hear. She is saying peoples names( and spelling them out) , and talking about their appointments and upcoming surgeries .???? I would be very upset if my medical care was broadcasted to the entire waiting room . read more

Not impressed by lack of courtesy and manners on behalf of the Doctor. Maybe too early to pass judgement.

Let me first say that the care my husband received was excellent and we do feel that they genuinely care about their patient's eyesight. However, my husband and I felt as though we were being rushed through the diagnostic process and treatment process for his myopic degeneration. As neither of us had ever heard of it, we had many questions regarding the diagnosis and treatment steps. Neither of us felt as if the questions were 100% answered and we both felt like we were creating an imposition when we asked our questions. I have no doubt that his doctor (Dr. Klisovic) knows what he is doing and is eminently qualified. And I would definitely recommend him to anyone. However, we felt rushed through the office for diagnosis of the problem, the treatments for the problem weren't fully explained in terms of how they work to correct it and what possible side effects are, how many treatments it requires, and if treatments will have to be on-going or not. We weren't told of any alternative treatment possibilities or options either, and the next thing we knew, there was my husband getting a needle injected into his eye. The other observation we had was that none of the staff really seem to have any kind of a sense of humor. They were just all business. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, and not that we need everything to be a joke, but a little levity would have gone a long way to make my husband feel more comfortable and not as nervous when we didn't know what to expect. read more

I checked in for a third appointment today. This is my third visit with Midwest Retina. The medical care has been great but like the prior appointments it's running rediculously slow. It's now been 2 hours and 40 minutes and I have yet to see the doctor. My prior two visits were simular experiences, great care, with unacceptable wait times of 2 to 2 1/2 hours. read more

I would give 0 stars but I will say my doctor was knowledgeable and knows my eyes very well. This was honestly the worst experience I've ever had somewhere. I was referred back to this doctor who I didn't have an issue with, but had to go to the Mount Vernon office instead of Taylor station rd. Went in, and had my eyes dilated right away. I was in for a retinal detachment laser procedure as I thought I was having. I waited for 3 hours and to be told that they don't do that procedure there and was sent in for my 3 eye evaluation... I was absolutely furious. And I never got an apology from any of the staff for waiting and for the miss communication. And one of the staff nurses was absolutely rude and disrespectful. Very smart ass to my mom and I was still talking to the doctor about my eyes and she comes in and says you can leave now and pushing me and my mom out. not professional by any means and will not be returning. read more
