Grandma Carol (now happily retired) walked me through a variety of styles taking note each time of what I liked and didn't until she presented me with a set that combined all the elements that had made my face light up. With my part done my fiance went back and looked through the loose diamonds until he found the perfect center stone. They serviced my ring repeatedly over the years. Sizing it up while I was pregnant and back down after my babies were born. They repaired a shank that cracked because I wore my ring to the gym while lifting weights and repaired a prong that I snagged and bent. For our 20th anniversary we had a custom enhancement made that made me fall in love with my ring all over again. I have other pieces from Kessler's as well: earrings, several chains and my favorite cross necklace. I hadn't needed anything in several years, but am now looking for another piece of bling. I showed up at the Brookfield store and was greeted by Ari who was able to read my mind and guide me to the perfect ring for me. She ordered one brought over from another store and has done some incredible logistical coordination setting a loose diamond into a Kessler's setting. There are a few extra costs when the center stone isn't purchased from them (cost to set the stone and an appraisal fee), but that seems logical to me. They are and will continue to be my jeweler!! I've never had a bad experience at a Kessler's store!!

Debra was hired to perform an appraisal for a refinance. Her initial response time and scheduling…read morea visit was timely. Filing of the appraisal report was acceptable--not great, not poor. The actual appraisal was completely unacceptable. The report noted no major remodeling in the previous 15 years despite a 70K remodel residing, re-roofing, building new 3 car attached garage, new flooring through out, adding an egress window to make a 5th legal bedroom, new paint through out and new appliances and contained pictures from a listing pre-remodel during the summer. Comparable properties were selected solely on proximity to the subject property with little to no consideration to the number of bedrooms--the comparables had 3 bedrooms compared to the 5 of the subject property, a full basement compared to houses with no basements, 3 car oversized attached garage compared to homes with no garage or a 2 car detached garage. The subject property also has a 30X40 heated and cooled workshop with 2 automotive lifts and while pictures of the shop were included, no value was given for the shop and no comparables had a shop (not like there are many of these.) The appraiser missed the appraised value by 125K on a 450K home. An appeal was immediately filed with a SOW and budget as well as 2 CMAs from known realtors. After 12 days, the original appraisal report was sent back with no explanation of why the CMAs were wrong or missing a complete remodel. I cannot more strongly suggest staying away from this appraiser as they are incompetent, lazy or simple do not care in the least.
