I had a very disappointing experience with this clinic, primarily related to billing transparency and staff communication. When I scheduled my appointment, I was told that once my insurance benefits were confirmed, the retainer would be refunded, and that benefits would be confirmed the Friday before my appointment. That did not happen. When I called to follow up, I spoke with a staff member (Kandy/Candy) who was dismissive and rude and did not acknowledge the incorrect information I had been given. Instead of clarifying the situation, she stated that "money would be collected just in case," which I found vague and inappropriate. She also appeared unfamiliar with how insurance deductibles work, incorrectly stating that payment was required to meet my 2026 deductible. My insurance resets with the academic year (June 30), not the calendar year. This lack of basic understanding further undermined my confidence in the clinic's billing practices. Because of the misinformation, lack of transparency, and unprofessional communication, I chose not to continue care with this clinic and requested a refund. I would caution others to ask very specific questions about billing and insurance policies before scheduling. read more

I had such a positive experience with this clinic. I did my first IVF cycle with Dr. O'Leary and team, and they were amazing from the start to my first successful transfer. They took care of me and the nurses were so nice and supportive. I felt like they were really helpful when I had questions and the communication was great. I got emotional when I had my embryo transfer and I felt like Dr. O'Leary provided comfort and I felt cared for. The journey to motherhood can be difficult for some, but I feel like with Midwest Fertility Specialists, you will be in good hands! So thankful for them! This review is for Dr. Colver. He retired this past September but I think this review applies to the entire practice as other doctor's nurses handle some of my care. I started infertility treatments in the Summer of 2019 and was pregnant by Thanksgiving 2019. Due to my age I felt like I was under a bit of time pressure and through IVF was my only route. Dr. Colver was very thorough in explaining the statistics of my chances of conceiving and suggested we try IUI before IVF. I followed his advice and after three rounds of IUI... boom! I was pregnant with my first child. I was so thankful I didn't have to go through the stress (physically and financially) of IVF and that I didn't have a doctor that wanted to push me to the more invasive option right away. Throughout my treatment the entire staff was friendly and courteous. I will say that you need to prepare your entire life to revolve around getting pregnant. This means you will have sudden doctor's appointments. You probably won't get an appointment time that is perfect for you. You will feel sick and bloated. You will be a hormonal little B at times. You will experience disappointment. You will make sacrifices. You will have a doctor and a nurse that will listen and do whatever they have in their toolbox to help you. Mine listened and we switched drugs at one point. This practice is very upfront about costs and breaking down what insurance will cover. Expect an email with great detail of how much you will have to pay and when. Dr. Colver was also a very warm personality and extremely funny. I came in for a treatment on Thanksgiving Day... jokes were made. I still remember them and his smile and laugh. I think I heard he helped conceive over 10,000 babies. My beautiful daughter is one of them. We are in the process of having another child and are working with Dr. Erica Will. I have only had an initial appointment (via Zoom) and she was very patient with my many questions (most related to Covid and in general being 2 years older than last time). I look forward to working with Midwest again. read more

Communication and follow up is non existent at this office and an absolute joke. They don't share records with you unless you ask numerous times, or just never respond at all to requests. Maybe a lawyer will make them react finally. They aren't transparent about costs and try to pressure you into buying when they haven't even reviewed total treatment plans with you or let you review your records to make an educated decision. The emotional pressure buying strategy is a major red flag and highly unethical. This place is a waste of time and it's safe to say after months of lack of follow up my spouse and I are going elsewhere. read more

I would highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Matthew Will. I felt like they listened, respected my concerns and had a personalized plan for our specific issues. They also worked with my fertility insurance which required them to sign a new contract. Overall The staff is very friendly and explained each step in the process. I was nervous to go to a male doctor at first but Dr. Matthew Will has been one of my favorite doctors I have ever worked with. He has such a caring personality and answered every one of my overly curious anxious questions. He has a sense of humor which makes him so approachable. I truly wish he could be my doctor throughout the pregnancy because I trust him implicitly. There were many times when my anxiety got the best of me and I did not think there was going to be good news at the next appointment. The staff always reassured me and were very honest with progress and results. When my treatment regimen needed to be tweaked they communicated clearly and always asked if I had questions. read more

Stay away from this place. We have been going to the Midwest Fertility Specialists since 2019. We were just treated as a number. Never changed the treatment regime. Despite several losses. We have tried 2 Ivf, 1 IUI and another Ivf with donor egg and 4 transfers. All the transfers ended up in miscarriages. Moved to a different clinic In Chicago In 2023. Has to start the whole IVF process with donor egg at the new clinic and got pregnant in the very first attempt and carried the baby full term. Holding my 2 month old baby in my arms now. Please stay away from this hospital. The doctors don't have the passion for their profession. Shame on you guys for wasting my time and money. read more

(Please disregard my rating above cause yelp asked for it) Mind you I haven't been a patient. But I thought at least I can give you some info since there hasn't been a review. I was so excited to find this clinic. When I did my research on nonhospital fertility clinics in the north half of indy, this one stood out for many reasons. 1. They have a team of doctors with variety of specialities 2. They have a Ph.D running the sperm lab. 3. Of the 5 places I looked at it was the only one that did the sperm washing for the procedures on site. When I called the patient liasion, I just didn't get along with her. She questioned me on my knowledge of the staff. In my experience the front desk and nurses are who to talk to about critical details and scheduling. I think this may be an excellent facility for the above 3 points but was dissatisfied with the front desk. read more

I would highly recommend this office for anyone searching. The staff is incredible, understanding, and just all around great. Minnie,Cheryl, and Dr. Will have been an amazing support group. Always answers my questions thoroughly and never make me feel doubts. It takes a special staff to do this kind of job and I couldn't of asked for anyone better. I cannot recommend this clinic. The front desk staff is kinda rude and I received conflicting information from different nurses while I was a patient there. They work in shifts and if you have one nurse for one shift, the next nurse during the next shift has no clue what the previous nurse said or did. Most importantly, I had strange experiences with the lab, though. I bought sperm from a bank and after washing, there suddenly was only 20% of the promised motility left and the volume had shrunk to only half of the amount that I had bought. I could not file for reimbursement from the bank, because the numbers were right before they washed it. I know you lose some motility and volume when you wash the sperm, but that just seemed to be too much and way more than the normal amounts. After this happened repeatedly with different donors, I lost all trust and switched clinics. read more

I'm completely satisfied! They knocked me up! It took a few tries (with IUI) but they were very professional, friendly, and the front desk staff knew me by name. This is a great clinic. I had some problems I couldn't get pregnant after trying for over a year, Then I had a miscardge, so I scheduled an appointment with Dr.Matthew Will. I had a septate uterus and Dr.will removed the extra tissue. The procedure did require anesthesia, but it was way easier than what I expected. Dr.will was very nice and the operation crew. I literally hate this clinic, but have to use it because there are essentially no others for many a mile. Scheduling is absolutely horrible. I have been through several IUI and IVF cycles. They never ask you about your schedule, they dictate times, which are really a pain. I feel that it is a lack of respect for patients. During one of the IVF procedures, they made multiple errors and did not tell me. I later figured it out and brought it up and then they apologized, but they lost my trust. Some of the people doing blood draws are also inexperienced and I suffered damage to a vessel. Overall, I would run the other way and use a different clinic even if it means driving hours. Having a doctor that cares and works with you is very important. read more

We had Dr. Robert Colver, M.D. and we would not recommend. We do not feel he took us seriously and reviewed our case well. We are unexplained and we don't feel he treated us as individuals. Only AFTER we paid for the most expensive part of IVF (egg retrieval) and 3 IUI's, countless hormones and medications, and test OOP did he offer to suggest supplements that might help improve our quality. And even then it was only at our request, to which he had no answer at our first appointments. After only a few made it to the freezing stage and we had questions, he made us come into to speak with him (ie paid consult visit). We met in person with him 3 times and 1 phone call. Every single procedure we'd done was by a nurse, tech, or another dr. as he was either on vacation or at a conference. The nurses and front desk staff were great. However, we never felt more than a number as we never felt our plan was individualized to us, just a one-for-all-best-fit plan, which clearly did not fit. $30k poorer and no baby to show for it. I can only speak to the "customer service" aspect of this clinic and it was enough to make my husband and I not even set up a consultation! My husband went in for an analysis - that process worked fine, and he was treated well. The problems started when the results came in - firstly, they had a nurse call us on a Friday after the clinic was closed and tell us we needed to call them back to discuss "options". The nurse said we would have to call back on Monday when the doctor was in - and did I mention they called me and left me this message instead of calling my husband! And no, they didn't call him and not reach him and then call me - they called me first and only to discuss HIS test results. And again, they called an hour after the clinic was closed, which left us in the dark trying to figure out what they meant by "discussing options". Obviously this is a fertility clinic, so we were already there looking into possible issues, and then you drop a bomb like that, via voicemail, and leaving us no options to find out what you are talking about, leaving us distressed over the entire weekend. When we finally reached someone on Saturday during their limited hours, my husband was told he had abnormal results and we should schedule a consultation with a doctor, which was fine. The nurse couldn't give us much info beyond that, so we called back first thing on Monday to find out more details and to set up an appointment. Even though my husband's analysis was abnormal and I have had tests done at my OB (that came back fine), they told my husband that they treat the "female side of things" and that they would send us a packet of options for how to treat female infertility. On top of that, they set us up to consult with a doctor who specializes in female infertility - again, my HUSBAND's analysis was abnormal. The next logical step would be for us to talk to a urologist who specializes in abnormal MALE fertility to have diagnosis confirmed and next steps outlined. In the end, it seemed like after this treatment that they were trying to appeal to me as the woman and guilt me into expensive procedures like IVF before any actual confirmation of any diagnosis or other options were given! After doing some of our own research, we decided we wanted a urologist to give us a second opinion, so we called this clinic and cancelled our appointment. They didn't care one IOTA that we had cancelled, just dismissed us and moved on. This clinic seems to not care about actually helping folks but instead peddling their wares on already vulnerable people who are either in or approaching the stage of being willing to do anything to have a baby, which is horrible. When you reach the stage of being tested for and consulting on fertility, you want to have competent doctors who are experts in the field talk you through any and all options and know that they are caring for you as people, not their own pockets. Every attitude we encountered here was unprofessional, incompetent and seemed to be about selling and not about treating people. My recommendation is to do your research and seek out other options to help you on your journey! read more

I called to make an appointment today and was greeted by someone named Kim who told me that she cannot make an appointment for me and that I needed to go to the internet. I asked if there was someone else available that I could speak with to make sure that they would be able to help me with what I needed to be seen for. She told me there was no one else. She then went on to say "is there something I can help you with" as if I needed to hurry up off of the phone. I said I wasn't sure because i wanted to talk to someone who could let me know if I was calling the right place. She then hung up on me. I called back and told her I didn't appreciate getting hung up on and that it was unprofessional. I told her the reason I was calling was stressful enough and she was adding another level of unneeded stress. I asked for a manager and she said there wasn't one. She responded with, can I help you because I need to go, my phone is ringing. I plan on leaving feedback online regarding this. I am very unhappy with this service. Kim needs to be fired! read more

Dr Reuter at Midwest Fertility clinic is totally unprofessional. I went to her for assistance in having a baby through IVF.We had our first meeting and I informed her of my problem of being a genetic carrier and she told me the chances of me having a baby with no genetic defects was very high (at least 80%). I left very excited and hopeful. I had my blood work then went back for a sonogram. Before this got started, the doctor explained to me my blood work and one hormone level was low and then she went on to explain that with my genetic defect as you age the ovaries age and reduce the ovarian reserve. I am 30 and my ovaries were more like a 40 year old. Dr Reuter kept asking me, you already knew this didn't you. She never once told us any of this in our first meeting. My parents were with me and we never once heard her say anything about this. When she did the sonogram report, the report included the findings of the sonogram and she quoted the Cabin counselor's opinion which had nothing to do with the sonogram. When I met with the Cabin counselor, I have a very hard time expressing myself so I communicated to my mother and she helped me. I wanted to have a baby but it will not be by Midwest Fertility Center and I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. read more

Run, run, run as fast as you can in the opposite direction. The "recommended reviews"- one of which is written by someone who hasn't even been a patient- couldn't be LESS reflective of the experience you'll get. Nurses who haven't read your chart, literally don't know why you're there for a visit (I had one call me three days AFTER an IUI procedure to give me info for my upcoming procedure....when I told her I'd already had it, she asked, "Are you sure?" Yes, I think I'm sure....) and the doctor will maybe give you ten minutes of their time in a conference room. Forget an actual exam. After several months of problems and trying to navigate their couldn't-care-less staff, I went elsewhere where I was actually diagnosed with additional fertility problems that this clinic didn't catch- and worse, the way they wanted to "treat" me wouldn't only have NEVER worked for me, it might actually have made my problems worse. There are many other skilled physicians in the area. Literally call ANY OTHER PLACE. read more
