I was sent here from the Aurora location, which needs to train the staff here, at this location *eye roll* I came in for an ultrasound, and the tech was VERY unpleasant! My visit was today 7-19-24 at 605pm. If I hadn't had to go to the emergency room, the review would've been written right in their parking lot. I walked in at 555pm. My appt per the Aurora location was for 6 pm. There were 2 people at the front, neither assisted or spoke until I stepped around a couple who had already been seen and were receiving aftercare instructions. I gave them my name and advised that I was sent over from Aurora they said my appt was for 630, ummm no, it was for 6. They said I had to wait. 605 comes, and this lady calls my name with an attitude and takes me back. So why were you sent here for an ultrasound, she asks? Because I'm in pain and need further testing.. I explained the tests that were completed, and she states no, that's not why she said you needed an ultrasound *BLANKSTARE* So if you know why I need 1 WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME??? DO THE ******* ultrasound and stop wasting my time! She continued to ask things that should've been charted. I'm so irritated she asks me is everything ok? I'm not trying to upset you. I'd like to make this right in a snide way. She completes the 2 ultrasounds. No info on follow up care just call Aurora for info. I called Aurora and they're in shock that they didn't provide the qr code to look up my results or provide the aftercare instructions. I ended up in the ER a few hours later. Thankfully, Aurora followed up so that I could be treated properly. The tech Cynthia Avila was rude, abrasive, and condescending, to say the very least! I wouldn't recommend this location. read more

I've been to this place probably 5/6 times in the last year because i am quite honestly always sick. First of all, I love that most of the staff is female, they really do their best to listen to your considers. I've seen people get super nasty with people at the front during extremely busy times and every time the staff handles it with such care and patience. The Medical field is so hard right now, these people are tired and every time no matter how shitty I leave with a sense of closure and care that I believe is hard to find. WOW THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. I went in for a COVID test a couple months ago. The girl tried doing other tests on me and I specifically said no. Fast forward a few months, I get a bill for extra tests that I specifically asked not to do nor did I receive. I tried calling Patient Services and Patient Advocate department and no one was able to help me. My husband came in the same day for the same COVID test and he did not receive any extra bills. They're just trying to scam people out of as much money as they can get. If you keep reading other reviews, you'll see this is a pattern with this clinic. So after I submitted that form the representative from Midwest Express called me back on 4/12/23. However, she could not figure out how to process the refund and asked if she could call me back with an update. Today is June 7th and I am still waiting for that call back and for a refund. This place has down hill, fast. Saturday morning I checked in before arrival and when I get there, I was standing at the front for 5 minutes before the two girls even acknowledged me because they were too busy talking about nothing important. An hour goes by, mind you it's not even busy, finally called in. Another hour later, after being in a freezing room. I see the doctor, she tells me they will take a blood test and someone will be right in. Another hour later the doctor comes back irritated that nobody came to do blood and she did it herself. Clearly, they either forgot about me or thought that going to lunch was more important. (All at once) Total time was 3 hours for this. To make up for it they offered to make an appointment for 5:00pm on Monday to go over the test results. Go in today and waiting over an hour for an APPOINTMENT to make up for it. I walked out and I will never be coming back. If it's busy then get more staff. Doesn't help when the receptionist goes in back for 5-10 minutes after every few patients check in. Also, they only sent one of two prescriptions. When I called they Immediately put me on hold for 20 minutes and then they verified they sent the prescriptions. I got a follow up call apologizing for the wait but clearly they didn't even check when I called the first two times. The only good part about it was the nurse/doctors are friendly but the rest of the staff is rude and clearly doesn't care or can't handle the volume. Second visit I went to my doctor and he told me everything is fine after 2 weeks of pain and swallow face Midwest EC found bacteria in my sinuses and after one day everything almost get to normal. Brought my kid for fever, keep us waiting 45 minutes even though I scheduled an appointment in advance, and saw the NP for 5 minutes, later I was surprised to know they charged almost $300 for this visit. This is way more expensive than similar visit anywhere else., I called their billing, they told me that they charged $250 for new patient visit, it is their standard. They never released this information in advance. What even worse if that they accidentally overcharged for a STREP LAB TEST they never performed. After multiple calling, they finally admitted that the STREP TEST is mis-billed. What a pain ! Felt to be ripped off, I plan not to go to this place again. I recommend that If you decided to go, please check out cost and be aware in advance. Continued: They replied this post and asked me to leave the contact information on their website so they can contact back. I did follow their instruction and so far a week passed, no one contact me. I just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I will also be calling my insurance company AGAIN about being charged for a full office visit to get Covid results over the phone. The first time I called, I was given the cell phone number of some person named Melinda, who was driving at the time, and she asked me to text her the patient name and account number and remind her to remove the $25 copay for results. She didn't. I received another bill yesterday with both charges still remaining, covid test and phone results. This is gouging during a pandemic, and cheating an insurance company. Even if I get my $25 back, you're still charging them. I called the 'so called' patient advocate line yesterday and of course never received a call back. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. All of your answers to the people (and insurance companies) you are cheating are 'call the patient advocate', who doesn't answer. Even if I get nowhere with the BBB, the complaint will be out there forever for everyone to read. Anyone else who has been cheated, just look them up at the BBB and send an electronic complaint. read more

I'd give a couple stars for the actual doctors and physicians here but the front office staff completely wipes away any chance off that. I've went here several times and there has never been a pleasant experience. This final experience was the final straw. The front office worker completely lied about not receiving a fax, even though my pharmacy said they'd confirmed it. She then proceeded to laugh and mock me and what I had to say, saying "that's not how this works, so that's funny". I needed a prescription refill of a couple days to bridge the gap between the end of my prescription and my doctors appointment. (Mind you, my other primary required me to visit once a year at most in order to refill), this clinic required me to come in every month, clearly so that they could meet their quota. They didn't care about my time nor the fact that I had to pay every visit. So my usual co-payment of $20 a year for this turned into $240. The front desk staff then laughed when I told them about the rough side effects and said "you should have made an appointment". The doctors are knowledgeable and personable but I have never met a more unprofessional front desk staff in any industry in my life. It's sickening. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! These people are dishonest and highly unethical in their billing practices. They're charging me $217 for a drive-thru covid test!! They scheduled me for a tele-visit I did not ask for. I canceled it and I said to just email me the results. They did email the results but a doctor called me anyway. I told the doctor immediately that I canceled this tele-visit, so we didn't talk for more than a few seconds - BUT THEY STILL BILLED ME FOR A DOCTORS VISIT!! Then I called the billing dept and explained that I never had a doctors visit, only a drive-thru covid test, and they said that they bill the test itself as a doctors visit - even though I NEVER SAW A DOCTOR. I tried to negotiate and said I'll pay the $50 for the test but I'm not paying for a doctors visit that did not happen, and they said they'll send me a revised bill. Took the boyfriend here after he complained that his throat hurt. I had just been diagnosed with strep a few days prior, so we were sure that's what it was. The facility was nice and clean, and no one was there so we got in quick. He saw a nurse practitioner, who seemed pretty smart. However, we left the office with no diagnosis, and the strep test came back negative. Two days later, while the boyfriend is suffering the whole time, he went back to a different doctor. The strep test came back negative again, but it was clear by the stuff growing in his throat that he had a serious infection. He got antibiotics, and it took a few days before he started feeling better. Yes, this clinic is nice, but I'm disappointed that we didn't get any medicine to help with what was clearly was an infection. I don't think I would recommend this place. read more

Scheduled an appt to get a covid antibody test, but their website doesn't let you specify. Show up for my appt and they told me they will only do covid antibody testing if I test negative for covid and oh by the way will take 8-10 days to get results. So it would take 3 weeks to get results. I don't understand how this place is running, lack of clarity on testing, unhelpful staff who are super short with you on the phone Bc they don't clearly explain what testing they can actually do. So i waited about 2 months after visiting for the 3rd time to write this review in hopes my tone would cool down and i could write an honest review that is not too heated. Well, thats not gonna happen because this place flat out sucks! The doctor and the receptionist are terrible! The receptionist told the waiting room that their computers were down and didn't know when they would get them back up. After me asking her for how long the computers were down, she replied 45 minutes. So you're telling me I have been sitting and waiting for what for the past 45 minutes. She explained we can all leave, call back tomorrow and re schedule our appointments. After all that madness, I finally saw the doctor for the 3rd time. It was for a respiratory infection. She gave me 2 different medicines previously that didn't help. She toyed with ideas of different medicines to give me. After an in depth conversation with her about a medicine I am allergic to, she still prescribed it to me! I only found out after I went to the pharmacy and luckily they had it in their system that I was allergic to a drug that the doctor prescribed me after I told that doctor I am allergic. Am I the only person with a brain in the place. My suggestion if you are thinking of coming here, don't. There are so many more urgent care facilities and doctors to go see. read more

On the phone with my insurance company now. My daughter had a covid test done January 14. She called January 15 to find out the results. We received a bill yesterday for $50, copay for each day. She never saw a doctor on the 14th, and they are charging her for a "tele-health" call on the 15th for her phone call to them to find out the results. Go in for an annual physical and get lab tests done, get a follow up to come pick up the paper work, was handed paperwork and walk out of the clinic 5 minutes later and am being charged $80 to do so and was told it "was their policy to charge you whenever you come in the door". After a long search to find a primary care doc who is astute medically & has great bedside manner (amazing how few physicians possess people skills), I found Dr. Palumbo. I feel so comfortable with her; my visits feel like they are with a (very knowledgeable, no nonsense and kind) friend who even anticipates potential fears (like, don't worry when we call you after bloodwork to come in and discuss in person - it's routine and absolutely does not mean you're in for bad news). This place is a disaster. DO NOT go here! The facilities are nice but the staff is completely disorganized. My first few visits were encouraging but since then I can tell they are only out to make money and do not care about the patients. They did not even send in a prescription they had told me they would. Walgreens tried to chase them and then I did and they said I needed to come back in as they did not fill the prescription in a proper amount of time. I am sure this is so they can get my insurance to pay for more visits. ALSO they do not bill as a office visit only as Urgent care. They are definitely the money greedy side of the medical industry. I will not be back! Highly disappointing. 10/11 - I appreciate the response Midwest Express Clinic. I believe you could be an option for someone that needs a sprained ankle looked at or needs a flu shot. What the problems is is that your doctors are listed as PCP's on insurance sites when in fact you do not offer normal office visit billing. The challenges still exist that my experience had the following issues. ** Doctor was over an hour late for one of my appointments ** Doctor is listed on the insurance sites as PCPs when they should not be. ** The staff did put incorrect prescriptions and had both me and walgreens chasing them to fill, when they filled it is was the wrong one. I've clearly moved on to a new provider and I liked your doctor as a person but cannot deal with the unorganized chaos that is this place. My expectations were higher than you could deliver. I love the touch of adding TVs to the exam rooms though, that's my positive take away. read more
