DO NOT BRING CHILDREN HERE My son (2 yo) fractured his proximal tibia (leg) on last Saturday. I've been here several times as I'm new to the area and haven't found other reliable places. Simply, the x rayed him.. diagnosed the fracture and WRAPPED THE WRONG AREA. They wrapped it for a distal fracture instead. No Stars! Dont go here !!! They misdiagnosed my 18 month old nephew which put us in the ER tonight with him! All they do is perscribe you antibiotics and send you on your way. He didnt need them because his diagonsis is viral so antibiotics wont help him. They just made him worse and in more pain. And when I was there for my illness she had to look at her notebook to reasure herself. They were better when they were called The Doctor Is In. They also make you fill out a credit card paper so they can charge your card after insurance goes thru. The thing is they wont tell you when that will be. Would not recommend this establishment, regardless of location. Each time I have called, more often then not, the individual picking up is unfriendly with me and overall unhelpful. It cost me over $200 to get my covid testing here when everywhere else was free or a minimal charge. They charged me for extra long visits, of which I had none, and for blood draw, of which I had none. Their billing office does not pick up, I have spent over 2 hours over the span of 3 different calls waiting on hold up to this point to try to get questions answered about billing. Additionally they don't allow online bill pay. I would not recommend this establishment for any reason, but especially not for covid testing. read more

I had been feeling flu like symptoms for the past couple of days and so I made an appointment to meet with these doctors at this location. I had filled out the registration paperwork online to quicken the process but when I get there they told me the paperwork never went through so it had me waiting an extra 20 minutes in the car while I refilled my information. I made it clear that I was experiencing fever symptoms and wanted to get a checkup or possibly some tamaflu or B12 shot. The only thing that seemed to be of their concern was covid and testing me for covid. Now, I had taken 4 covid tests that all came back negative and made that clear to the doctors that is not my concern. They test me for covid and tell me I have a positive covid test. I asked them for B12 and they wouldn't do anything for me. All they did was bring me in, test me for covid, and then sent me home. After I left, I picked up 2 more covid tests which were both negative. It seemed their only concern was to diagnose me with a positive covid test and sent me home with nothing to help make me feel better. read more

I came here for Covid testing like I have before and they administered the wrong test for travel purposes then took no fault for it when I had to call and come back as it was not valid for my trip. Also made a big deal about a mask when it's not required in indiana and I clearly just paid the other day for a rapid test that shows negative. It's just the audacity for me to charge me again snd take no fault in what I asked for the first time. I know I asked for a pcr test and answered all the proper questions when here for the first test. It's always about money not about health and safety never was. Edit: after going for the second test and I've already paid the nurse practitioner tells me the results won't come back for 1-2 days snd she personally has never seen it come back in 1 day. So now realizing I've paid $300 in Covid testing to not even be able to use these for my planned trip because of the time frame. How on the phone was I not told and not in person before paying that pcr at your facility is not rapid. I could've found a facility that does because it is indeed available. Extremely cost friendly. Decorated very cute and didn't look as intimidating as most clinics. Very clean. Wait times were best out of any urgent care I've gone to. I hate going to any emergency/urgent care, but the ladies here made this a really settling experience. Every person I interacted with treated me with kindness and really listened to what I had to say and put me at ease. The care was thorough. If I ever have to come to an urgent care again, I'll be coming here and highly recommend it. read more

I came in to get tested for covid after registering online with my insurance and license. They did not confirm method payment with me before i went to the back to get tested, come to find out my insurance isn't accepted here after the fact. I asked if this can be billed to my address, in which i was told the policy is they can't. Weird when i'm sure it's also policy to confirm method of payment before i'm tested, yet her reason for no doing so was because i was brought to the back right away. 100% avoid this place read more

STAY AWAY!! Money hungry! I had to be Covid tested and visited this establishment. They would not accept my Medicaid card but they clearly take Medicaid??? They are the only clinic ever to deny my health insurance because the difference in my last name. I was adopted so my name on my ID differs from my health card but that has never been a problem in my 24 years of living and I was adopted at 9 years old. I'm not paying that $366 fee I will wait 7 years for it to fall off my credit. read more

Our local Midwest Express Clinic is part of the Mission Act that allows veterans to use their VA benefits there rather than go all the way to the VA hospital almost two hours away. The doctors at the Crown Point clinic have been absolutely great to me! Everyone is friendly and the waiting room is big, clean and not crowded. You get seen right around the time of your appointment but you can also walk in and the wait has not been too long. I am very, very pleased with the doctors and staff at MEC and will continue to use them! read more

This facility is great! The nurse practitioner who helped me did a blood test and was very thorough in helping me understand what the results were! There are many locations and although the crown point and scherrerville one get mixed up on google it seems it is very convenient for someone who has just moved out this way. The staff is friendly and the facility is very clean. Nurse practitioner was extremely friendly, informative, and my scripts are already called in and waiting. BEWARE- BAIT & SWITCH- Unfortunately my wife and I both visited Midwest Express Care of Schererville Indiana with a case of contact poison IVY. We both have insurance from different carriers. Mine just changed prior to visiting. At the reception desk, I informed them that our co-pay use to be $30 but that my new insurance may not consider them to be in Network... We informed them, that if they are not in Network, that they could treat my wife, but that I would have to go to an in network provider. The receptionist took my insurance card, copied my card, researched via computer and informed me that not only am I in Network, that my deductible is met and that my co-payment is "ZERO". I requested her to check for sure---she did... Same result. They immediately took my wife's co-pay and we both went back for treatment. This scenario repeated itself a total of 3 times over 3 separate visits. (One for the initial visit and 2 subsequent follow up visits)--- Each time - same receptionist and same discussion.... Take my wife's money, inform me that I have zero co-pay, - treat, release and repeat. Only after 3 treatments and 2 months, do I receive a bill for $300. Upon talking & corresponding with their office and then their billing department, do they admit wrong doing and knowingly admit that they had several mistakes made to billing and caring for customer charges by the same individual.... Training error was their excuse. I was assured that the billing department would correct their error. On my next call with billing... SURPRISE... they informed me that I am NOW out of network and that I owe.... SERIOUSLY???... Billing department personnel, agreed with me that charges should at worst be for my in network co-pay of $30 per visit... However, they continued to Bill for $300 and turn over the billing to collections... I have an 850 credit rating... I felt sorry for the receptionist if in fact this was error or training that caused the problem... Prior to sending to collections I sent $40 to resolve and to extend a good faith gesture. It is now with a collection agency and I now realize that perhaps there was no mistake. That from this vantage point, this is a business practice not a training or personnel issue. Outwardly lie at every visit and then extort what ever you can get??? In my opinion, some-one needs to look into this. Some one far above me.. I would prefer to resolve, but may be forced to report to Medical ethics committee, Consumer Fraud division and/or the attorney General--- How many others are being purposely misinformed, misbilled and/or scammed? I would NOT recommend these clinics for any healthcare needs. My husband went for COVID -19 testing on May 1st to Schererville location. We were told before we went and while there that results should be completed within 48 to 72 hours. Waited 3 days with no calls so we decided to call clinic ourselves. My husband was told results were not in but he would receive test message when results were in and he could confirm a virtual appt to get results. Got that text on Tuesday and confirmed virtual appt but he still ended up calling and she worker says there are no results but not to worry that he would have them no later then Wednesday the 6th. Called Wednesday the 6th at 6:50pm after receiving no call all day and the lady who answered the phone said there are no results in but try back. Here we are today May 7th... called again and Jennifer says there are no results. She did not offer any help into looking into the delay, all she said is he should call back . When my husband asked to speak to someone in charge, her response is "there is no one in charge". I figured I would call another Indiana location to see if they could help direct me to someone in charge and Annie ( or Amy,she said it so quickly and wouldn't repeat name)from Crown Point told me her phones are ringing off the hook and she cannot help with Schererville problems. When I told her that was a disappointing response for someone who works in the healthcare field she chuckled ,said she was busy & hung up. I've called the patient advocate number for both Indiana & Illinois ( who is the same person) and have not received a call back. Their lack of putting patient care first is disappointing. I know their specimens go out to Quest and I called them directly and was told any/all specimens received by Midwest on Friday and Saturday have been completed! So why does my husband not have any results?? Did they lose his specimen????I don't know because no one will answer any questions. Girls are rude. I will look on Joint Commission website for any number or name of someone I can speak to about this. There are thousands of people dying from this disease and the lack of concern for husband results is nothing like we have ever seen before. read more
