Roman Shades are more trouble than they are worth. They don't mount well and break frequently…read more Blinds in the pic here were installed by the store within the past month. This was after I had them repaired already. I'm ready to trash these blinds and get new ones because they won't stay up all the way. They are also too heavy for the mounting brackets which bend (then let in light) and rip out of the wood frame. All About the Blinds is also very slow to respond. They had my Roman Shades in for repair for nearly a year because they forgot about it.

Ultimately, my suggestion is to be completely clear on what you are buying. Neither my husband or I understood we were getting a roll-down shade that would appear just like the old-fashioned plastic shades from the last century that have a yellow tint when rolled down. The price of $435 for this one door shade was not in line with the product we received. We have beautiful heather gray floor-to-ceiling shades in the adjacent rooms that are less opaque. They do not look cheap like this shade does. Perhaps it's partly our fault for not asking for more specific information or for just making a decision on a small swatch. Perhaps the greater room darkening choice we made added to the difference in appearance but it would have been helpful to know that up front. I am attaching two photos of the shade; one is from the inside and the other is from the outside. The exterior photo is what we expected which is a creamy white. The interior view shows the unexpected yellow tint although several photos I took didn't capture the true yellowness in real time. The sales rep and the installer were both courteous, prompt, and friendly which is why I gave two stars instead of one. If you do choose to work with this company, you should look carefully before you make your decision.
