I figured any place that was so busy that they were turning away new customers was a place I wanted to deal with! I waited until they could take me, and they sent an excellent employee who did all the work in a very reasonable amount of time and they charged me under what I thought it would be. Sprayed the decks - & oversprayed the shingles, painted all the rocks around the house, missed painting several areas, took all leftover paint. What a mess! Every day was a new nightmare. Charged for painting both sides of doors - only did outside with latex paint. I had to repaint doors myself with proper enamel. Blamed me for distance to house, him scheduling to work on gf's bday weekend, the rain, his brother ditching job after 1 day - all the customer's fault. In a bind, I talked him into coming back 1 day to finish outside. Next day - called to find him. 10 am his gf calls, says he took a drywall job & they would find me someone. Sent me a joker with no painting experience or tools - ran him off after 2 hours. He was an emotional mess, unprofessional, tried to threaten me, didn't even finish the outside. Paid him in full for outside & told him if he or anyone associated w him contacted me I would press charges. Military people finish the job. Stay far away from this guy unless you like emotional roller coaster messes. Ken - best not to respond since you know it's all true.

They scraped the old ceiling finish off, and relocated and replaced a busted attic access. The rehung multiple doors, replaced busted deck steps, and built a huge fence and RV gate for me. The work was extensive, and the pricing for the fence was super reasonable and it came out crazy nice! Honestly I was surprised at the quotes as I expected them to try to take me to the cleaners as most of the contractors I have dealt with out here were super pricey. Change out a light switch plate? Sure, for twenty bucks. Here's the kicker though, and what sets them apart from the rest; I live in AZ. Giving contractors access to a house unsupervised can make the most trustworthy person think twice. I have cameras set up throughout my house though, and every day they were there early in the morning, doing the work without needing to be supervised. Every night they cleaned up after themselves and locked up and not once did I catch any of their guys in the master bedroom trying on the wife's lingerie when nobody was looking. Nadja stayed in touch with me throughout the entire process and never got annoyed at my repeated questions, or 'suggestions' no matter how stupid they were. Hometown Handyman rocks to say the least. Great pricing, no job too big or too small and professional as all get out. I recommend them above all others!
