He confirmed the noise and had me pull it into the bay entrance to which a mechanic jumped in and drove around the corner and back. Diagnosed it was a u joint a $35 part. While we waited for the part to arrive I asked if they could put in my O2 sensors that I already had & was told yes. 2 were unplugged and 2 installed in about 10 mins. U joint arrives & installed by a very friendly staff & then I'm billed out. For 1 hour & 20 mins job from start to finish it was $250? For what you say well $50 test drive fee unaware of nor never heard of ( which I performed btw) then $110 to install 2 O2 sensors (not disclosed when asked) which were just unplugged & plugged back in. I understand there are book rates for a job & shop hourly rate but as a customer and a first time customer I was definitely over charged & robbed and I really personally had a nice experience but that all changed. I took several business cards as I am new the area & when I find someone good which I thought I like to spread word. But have since thrown them away and completely disappointed by the experience. My family is in the business and I know the back of the house operations and taking advantage like this is not my families practice. Everyone has a job to do and service to provide and bills to pay but racking up unrealistic expenses isn't the right way to go about it. After the service and rereading the bill and calming down I almost called the shop to express by disgust but figured what the hell would that do.

Took my Suburban to Pep Boys, spent $1000 on brake repairs, still had the original ABS problem…read more Took it back, another $500 and now it was worse. A brake line they fabricated blew and almost caused an accident when the pedal went to the floor so I had it towed back there. They wanted to charge for the tow until I reminded them it was warranty ahd a liability issue. They fixed the line and said it would be another $750 IF they could find the part. I told them to forget it, bought a rebuilt part on the internet and took it to Ronnie. He replaced the other wheel hub that Pep Boys said was fine after they replaced the speed sensor TWICE and put the module on that I ordered. Articles all over the internet, DON'T replace the wheel speed sensors, replace the whole hub if you want it to work! After Ronnie was done with it, no brake light, no ABS light, no sickening feeling when the ABS kicks on inappropriately on hard dry pavement and kills the brakes unexpectedly. Ronnie has my business for life!!!

We set up an appointment for Monday morning for a B Service. I'm pretty particular about keeping my car in great condition and getting the maintenance done on it. The folks at M Tech were wonderful. They explained what is in a B Service and told me exactly what I needed. They had the car ready later that day and I didn't feel like I got ripped off when I paid them. My only suggestion would be that I wish the drop box was more visible and secure. We looked around for a while before some guy pointed out the opening in the door. When we were about to throw the keys in, we realized they'd probably drop to the floor. I was hoping the drop didn't break the fob and luckily it didn't. A little sign and a basket on the inside would help. Either way, this is where I'm getting my car serviced from now on!
