On 04/14/25 11am-ish went to pick up a couple bottles of Kettle One 1.75 that was on a very good sale advertised on the internet. I buy various things here and also check their sales. The cashier called out the manager b/c it rang up differently. I showed him the internet website advertisement. With complete rudeness, even hostility in his voice, he glared "it's a mistake"! I can't sell it to you for than price, someone entered it wrong. Well it's halfway through the sale month, can you honor the stores mistake for 1 bottle? I ask. NO, bugged eyed now. No words exchanged, we just left. To make matters worst, as we sat in the car discussing this very icky interaction, he came out and looked around the parking lot! It was obvious because he behaved poorly, he figured we'd resort to his ill behavior. The only mistake here is to think that this business gives a hoot about their customers . He obviously doesn't care about customer relations or professionalism! I wonder what happens when a customer accidentally breaks a bottle? We won't be back. read more

What a rude manager!!! I went to purchase a case of beer, the tag said one price and what they rung up was a different price. I mentioned it to the clerk, and she walked back and saw that I was correct. She had to tell the manager and he rudely walked back and said where is the tag I told him I will show him and I was behind him he saw it before I got back there ripped it off, went up and told the women to ring it up the tag price like he was really pissed off. He was very rude. Very rude. Don't know if you had a bad day or not, but nobody should be treated a customer so rudely. read more

Midway has a wide selection of cognac, brandy, bourbon, vodkas and wines. I was looking for a specific bourbon as a gift and I was able to find it here. The prices are also very reasonable:) read more

Midway is my "Go To" liquor store. They They have great prices and an excellent selection.

I mean, it's a liquor store so of course I love it. No but seriously, I had never been here before and I was driving down route 40 in need of some spirits and decided to stop here. Really weird and kinda small parking lot, but the store itself is clean and well organized with great prices and friendly staff. read more

The counter personnel are the most unfriendly people I have ever dealt with. We were yelled out for using the wrong door (it was our first time there) and for going down the wrong checkout aisle. I tried to redeem a coupon and was given an attitude. when I checked my bill when I got home the cashier had only given me the coupon for one item instead of for the two items I bought. The prices aren't bad and they do offer specials and coupons but give you an attitude if you use one. Going to Total Wine from now on. One of the best liquor stores on the East Coast low prices, friendly staff knowledgeable on all aspects of alcohol. If you want a hotdog or something to eat, you can get that there. Also hope you like to sit with a friend and drink you can go to the bar in the backoutstanding place that has been around for a long time. Good old, friendly spot. read more

It's my go to Liquor Store. About ten miles away for me, but very friendly, helpful and great selection of beer, wine and spirits. Family oriented environment makes this place very special. Every day prices are very good and special prices are truly that. I used to go to Total Wine as well, but they have really raised their every dayprices, must be a corporate thing. Shopped 11/26/11 I ran out of Marsala wine to cook my portabella mushrooms in. My wife loves my mushroom...s with wine!! I have to disagree with George, Midway is not average. They have a large selection of wine and beer, as well as liquors. My family has used Midway for several weddings and something you don't see often, the ability to return unopen bottles of wine and liquor for a refund. Not only do they carry domestic (which by the way means more than Bud, Miller, & Coors... don't forget Yuingling and Sam Adams, neither of which are considered microbrews or craft brews), but they have a fair assortment of biers & wines from around the world. They happen to carry two of my favorite Reislings: Chateau Ste Michelle (on sale now for $6) & Boordy Vinyards. Every Octoberfest season they carry a really fine assortment of Bock and Double Bock biers from the old country. Ein groß Bier, bitte! (a large beer please!). read more

I was shopping for party favors and needed to order cases of mini wine bottles. I had placed an order with a pretty popular large wine and spirits store, only to find out weeks later that their vendor had cancelled my order. No one called me to inform me of that cancellation; I had to find out on my own. I then called Midway Liquors and inquired about ordering the same and how long it would take. Surprisingly they said, "oh it will be here tomorrow morning, and we'll give you a call". Lo and behold, three cases were delivered that next morning and I received a call, order was ready, cost estimate exactly right, and the cases were taken and loaded into my car. Now THAT'S great customer service, at a good price, and with a smile. read more

I'm a wine-o. I geek wine all the time. My fiancee has been going to Midway for about 4 years and I have tagged along a few times. We went again today to pick up some wine and I was totally impressed by the amount of wine knowledge that Stan has! We talked about the wine economy (bad - great deals for us consumers), South Africa wine (he's going this year), Spanish wine (he is going to hook me up with somone in Jerez in order to taste sherry). This is the kind of wine expertise that I expect at a wine shop - but rarely get. If you're looking for someone that knows wine, go see Stan!! read more

Midway has been the local place to go for amazing prices and selection for over two decades for me. Add to that Stan... The owner... Who is there most days and is so into his craft (bourbon at the moment) he literally gets excited about talking to customers about the products. So as you might expect, they stock an awesome selection of bourbons! Friendly... Best prices in town... Best selection... The kind of place you go to forever as long as you are able! Go... This place is really great. You can find just about everything in the store different types of wines and beers and the hard stuff too. If it's a specialty wine you're looking for and they don't have it, they can direct you to where you can find it. This is your average liquor store. They have a decent selection of both beer, wine and spirits. Their wine specialist is very knowledgeble and helpful when you have questions. I have found their prices on beer to be some of the best in Harford county. The lady with the beret who works the cash register needs to get the stick removed from her rear. They could do without her. To call her "unfriendly" would be an understatement. read more

During the X-Mas Holidays, I had a reason to stop in Midway and purchase some gin and beer. On Christmas Eve, at around 2:00PM, the line was throughout the store to check-out. While standing and waiting, they had various men and women roaming the line, and asking if they could get anything you might have forgotten, or didn't see in the store. This sped up the process of check-out, and made what seemed like a disaster, a very pleasant experience. Kudos to the owners of Midway for making the phrase customer service a very good experience for their customers. read more

Midway is my immediate for stop for all my beer, wine and liquor purchases. They have a very wide selection and variety with prices that beat most other liquor stores. The staff is very friendly and willing to help your need/request. Great selection of domestics, imports and micro-brews. read more

pretty good selection. Has some of the better keg prices as I have my own kegerator but yes the older lady at the register can be a bit rude at times. If they dont have it Wine World in Abingdon certainly does. But over all a very nice selection and outstanding holiday prices read more

I've been to almost all the liquor stores in the area. Midway not only has the best prices, but very nice employees as well. I visit on a weekly basis and I always find myself having an engaging conversation with the cashiers. Not only that but as soon as I walk in I am greeted with a smile and asked if I'm looking for something particular. This happens every time I enter. I don't even look 21 and I am still treated with respect the moment I enter the store. Big ups to midway their attitude as well as their prices have made me a long time customer. Fail to honor prices. I found a bottle of Johnnie Walker Gold Label prices at $65.99 for the 1.75L bottle. I thought amazing deal and took it to the register. They said it was $120.99 I showed them the sign for $65.99 they said ok. As I got back in line they changed their mind and wouldn't honor the price. read more
