My partner & I stopped here on our way back home. I like this liquor store. It looks similar to…read moreanother one we frequent in Owings Mills. It contains a large variety of beers, saki, liquor, etc. I was looking specifically for a new beer I was enjoying from Founders (Blushberry). I asked the owner if they carried it, but he had not heard of that specific beer. I ended up purchasing another Founders beer, which was similar (also tequila barrel aged). When I got home and was able to enjoy it, the taste was so similar I hardly noticed the difference. He also went out of his way to help my partner find something different. She had a particular taste in mind, and he showed her several recommendations. In the end she settled on Suntan. When he was talking about the beer to the delivery man who had just arrived, we both thought he meant literal suntan lotion. He explained it got that name because when you open the beer, it smells like suntan lotion (that coconut smell). Maybe a little, but not too much. Anywho, he was very helpful, and I love a liquor store with a large selection of beers. I'm a beer lover and like to experiment. If you're the same, this is your spot.

Apparently the AC stopped working and no one told the owner. I made a point to let the manager know that he should never treat a lady or an employee that way. I then encourage the lady to find another job where she would not be subjected to such verbal abuse. A friend and I teamed up to purchase the wine, but, I'll admit, got distracted by the Vodka seltzer promo set up in store. After a few samples, we weren't quite sure what we were doing so we asked for help. Zach to the rescue! We told him what our plan for the wine tasting party was and asked for help selecting international red wines. Zach was over the top accommodating and hooked us up! We selected an Argentinian Malbec, Italian Sangiovese, California Cab, South African Syrah, and a French Bordeaux. Zach carried our haul to our car and was super friendly and helpful. I must say, the wine tasting party was a hit! Complete with James Suckling wine ratings and delicious charcuterrie boards, the party was fire. The fan favorite? A little-known Western Cape South African Syrah called Essay. We wouldn't have found this hidden gem had it not been for Zach's keen eye in helping us pick international reds. And, each bottle of wine was under $15.00. Great selection, excellent customer service, affordable prices! Summer will be here soon. Summer Whites, anyone?
