Definitely a place to go to when you have an event and you need to buy in bulk. There was an incident where someone refused to sell to me citing that they required carding for every purchase but I watched other people not get carded. It left a sour taste in my mouth so I haven't really been back. I will say that all other experiences at this location have been amazing ! The staff, depending on who you speak with, are very knowledgeable-- especially if you don't know much. read more

I had been here many years ago and this place is a classic in the wine, beer, and spirits industry. They are well stocked and organized, items are easy to find and are located by sections. Even if you know what you want and can't find it, the staff is more than willing to help. They can also suggest comparable options if your item is out of stock. Today I went in to buy a favorite wine and they had it and plenty of it. Great location and lots of free parking. read more

Male employee was nice in helping me look for a drink I had out of state that I was hoping to find here. He even checked the system to see if he could order it. Problem came when checking out. I got a variety pack of cider that was marked $20.99 on the self. It rang up $23.99. When I said the price was different, the lady went back and basically told me the price sticker was for a different variety pack even though there was multiple boxes where I got mine from. They would not honor the price on the shelf and asked if I still wanted it or not at the higher price. Plenty of liquor stores in the area, I will not be back since they won't honor their mislabeled prices when it was clearly their error not mine. read more

Be careful when grabbing six packs of anything in the isles. As you go down the isles, there are 1 or 2 items missing out of the packs or boxes. It is so obvious when looking down the isles. It's like someone grabbed a little from most packs. I mentioned it at the front when there were at least 3 people standing and no one seemed to care. No one asked me to show them where I noticed it. Maybe if more people tell them, it might reach caring ears. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE their customer service!! When I walked in I was greeted, which made me feel welcome!! They had an great selection of drinks. I realized once I left I didn't pay attention to see if they had labels of each section. (I'll look next time!!) they did have a area towards the back right where they sold single bottles of drinks from wine coolers to beers. I thought that was nice but it is cheaper to by it as a case. The cooler section isn't as big as some stores but they do offer a decent variety of drinks from Malts to the average beer. I was exacted to hear they may have my honey wine that I was looking for but the store employee was unable to find it. He was trying to find something comparable but I was really set on having that wine, but I did appreciate the knowledge he gave. All in all it's a great place to get your drink on!! They do have tastings every week!! So keep that in mind! read more

It's like the Walmart of liquor stores. They've got everything you need - guaranteed. And the staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are decent - comparable to other liquor stores in the area. read more

Wine World Beer and Spirits - Ready for Thanksgiving ;) - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Abingdon, Maryland

I bought a case of 24 Heineken cans today. $38.99 plus tax! The same thing at Total Wine is $28.99. Poor selection of domestic beers but loaded up with craft beers. I even called to check the price and was told 38.99 was the correct price. Never again read more

I have frequented Wine World for many years because I find their prices consistently less expensive then most liquor stores around. Today I went in to buy a bottle of Deep Eddy's Ruby Red vodka. When I took it to the counter the sales associate told me that there should be a Mail-in offer on the bottle. Since I grabbed the first one I didn't notice. So I ran back to the shelf and grabbed one off another bottle. She was very familiar with the rebate and told me when the deadline was. With another purchase in the future I have an opportunity to get $20 back. This associate was very friendly. She could have just rung up my purchase and never said a word. She is an asset to Wine World. read more

What better way to ensure a constant friendship than to go here and buy them some booze- heck its better than going next door to chik fil a, even though that would ensure a probable friendship, remember- your friend could be vegan. read more

Wine World Beer and Spirits - Mount Natty - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Abingdon, Maryland

It's not your average Maryland liquor store. Sure, you can get the hard stuff here, but they also have a large selection of wines and craft beers that will make any beer hunter happy. The beer selection isn't anywhere near the size of Total Wine, and I was disappointed that some of my Virginia favorites weren't being carried, but the selection is still ample, and the cold craft beer selection may even be a little bigger than some Total Wine locations. There were a couple of minor negatives. First, I thought the beer selection was a bit disorganized. What compounds this is that they allow the purchases of single beers, and do so by allowing customers to just pull the singles from six packs rather than have a separate section for mix and match. And their prices are a bit higher than I'm used to paying in Virginia. Everything was, on average, $1 more per six pack here than Total Wine in Virginia. Still, this is a great place to find a wide variety of craft and import beers in the area. And wine and the hard stuff too. read more

This place really rocks. It doesn't look much larger, space wise, than my normal liquor store back home. But man, the variety! I found so much vodka that I had never seen before that they had to give me a huge box to take it all home in. Prices are reasonable. The staff was also super helpful. On a pretty slow Monday night, more than one employee asked if I wanted any help in my selection and more than one employee asked if I needed help carrying my giant box of vodka to my car as well. Nice work, guys! read more

Beer, beer, and more beer. If you want it, chances are they'll have it. They always get limited releases, and keep plenty in stock. Nice selection of local and regional selections. If the don't have it, it's probably not available in the state. read more

Some things are going to be a bit pricey here, but this is still my go-to liquor store. They have the best selection in the area, the staff is friendly and always willing to help provide recommendations, and my favorite bottle of wine is cheaper than around the corner... Too bad my brother's favorite scotch is more expensive here lol. This place is also very clean, and that goes a long way. Absolutely no sketch-factor here. read more

Their customer service is impeccable. They will stop anything they are doing to help and assist you. Selection is top notch!!

Great selection of wine! I could walk around this store for hours wandering the aisles and looking at all the different brands and varieties. The prices are not bad and the staff is friendly and helpful. The location is in the busy area of Constant Friendship and you will have to fight traffic between Wal-Mart and Target, but other than that it is pretty decent. read more

Build your own six pack, a decent selection of craft beers, and the largest collection of Maryland wines I've seen! Need a liquor? They've got it! A great location with decent prices and wind tastings on occasion. read more

I've been searching for a particular wine to get as a Christmas gift and they had it! Very organized store and they carry everything!!! The cashier was really nice and apologetic because the register was glitchy. They even had complimentary bags and ribbon I used to wrap up my purchase. read more

I'm only concerned with the beer selection so that's where my perspective is coming from. They have a very good selection of beers, fill growlers, and allow the purchase of singles, but they don't always get the highly sought after beers from their distributors. This may be fine for most people but if you are looking for something with a limited distribution they may not ever get it so be sure to cast a wide net in your search. They also don't post regularly to their Facebook page with updates as to what they're getting. Overall very good but could be better with harder to find beers. read more

huge selection, was greeted, and my friend walked out with two great Hefeweizens. staff really friendly and answered all questions.

Elizabeth - assisted me and went above and beyond with helping me locate items. Nice to have such friendly people such a big store

This is the best place to get a wide selection of beer (especially for those of us visiting from out of town) that you can purchase as singles. They even beer on tap if you want to fill a growler. read more

I love Wine World! They have a great selection of anything you could possibly want. If you have an idea what you are looking for, but not sure of how to pick it, they have a very knowledgeable staff to assist. Some of the staff are Sommeliers and Cicerones at various stages in training even! The owner is very active in the community. On numerous occasions she has had catered events at the store as a way to just say 'thank you' to her customers. They have sold their share of winning lottery tickets too! And don't forget about the wine ice cream that you can't find anywhere else. If you haven't been there, you have to go. Once you go, you will be a regular customer. read more

Today I went into the liquor store to help my father get some beer during quarantine. Since thequarantine there are no carts or carriers to help carry the liquor. So he asked me to come in and help him carry some stuff because we were getting a large selection of liquor for a family gathering coming up. We then proceeded to put all the items on the cashiers desk to be scanned but then the cashier told my father that I needed to show her I.D even though none of this alcohol is mine because o don't drink. So my father proceeds to ask why he needs to show ID just for helping him carry up alcohol to the counter. She then proceeds to state that it is a state law but every other liquor store that my father has gone to has had kids carry up liquor to the counter to help their parents etc. I even googled up what she said and it's not even close to being a law so she is completely wrong. That place sucks this is why you go to friendship Wine and liquor and plus friendship Wine and liquor has better prices read more

We love Wine World! Whenever we come back to Maryland to visit family, Wine World is our first stop. I'm a huge fan of craft beers, and the selection here is as good as any in the country. Incredible assortment of wine and liquor as well. The staff is as helpful as they are knowledgeable, and it seems like there is always a tasting or special event going on to add to the experience. Highly recommend!! read more
