My partner & I stopped here on our way back home. I like this liquor store. It looks similar to another one we frequent in Owings Mills. It contains a large variety of beers, saki, liquor, etc. I was looking specifically for a new beer I was enjoying from Founders (Blushberry). I asked the owner if they carried it, but he had not heard of that specific beer. I ended up purchasing another Founders beer, which was similar (also tequila barrel aged). When I got home and was able to enjoy it, the taste was so similar I hardly noticed the difference. He also went out of his way to help my partner find something different. She had a particular taste in mind, and he showed her several recommendations. In the end she settled on Suntan. When he was talking about the beer to the delivery man who had just arrived, we both thought he meant literal suntan lotion. He explained it got that name because when you open the beer, it smells like suntan lotion (that coconut smell). Maybe a little, but not too much. Anywho, he was very helpful, and I love a liquor store with a large selection of beers. I'm a beer lover and like to experiment. If you're the same, this is your spot. read more

This is my go-to place & has been since they opened. They're near me, but I would consider traveling for this place honestly. The staff are attentive & friendly in a down-to-earth way rather than a fake-polite way. They know their stuff and occasionally let us know about new stuff they just got in that we might like. They have also in the past been happy to order items that we requested that they didn't have in stock, although I haven't done that in awhile, so it's possible that's changed. They never seem understaffed, so you can be in and out quickly even if they're busy, and the space is less cramped than the average liquor store in my experience. They have a good variety of products, including local and smaller brands that I don't see at other liquor stores & a massive selection of wines. They also have regular tasting events (not just for wine). I really enjoy that they have IPA sampler packs, so I can get a 12 pack and still have different flavors, but they also have smaller packs and I think even single can options for beers and the like if you want to just try something different. They have a rewards points system & also do deliveries. The only even slightly bad thing I can say about this place is that the parking lot can be hectic at peak hours, but that's not really the fault of this business. Top tier liquor store. read more

This is convenient spot located next to Trader joes. Easy to stop in and grab drinks to complete brunch or dinner plans. The staff is always helpful in finding what I need and explaining the make up of various wines. They are a little more expensive than average-- especially because I frequent discount liquor store! Pre-Covid they would host wine and spirit tastings and do bottle engravings, which was pretty cool. They also have a loyalty program, although I am not sure what you get because I don't remember actually getting anything from it. read more

Great store next to Trader Joe's for a quick daily wine. The employees are so helpful and friendly! They even have tasting every week that you may attend, for free! The place is quite hip. The only thing is wine is not cheap here! Maybe its the clientele, but the wine is easily ~$5 more expensive if you buy it from discount stores and the selection is quite limited with mostly daily wines. They have an Instagram page and a webpage which they keep up with regularly. I'm not a regular here but have visited a few times and if I'm in a pinch I would visit. read more

Small little spot that I stopped at just because I was in a nearby store. Nothing WOWED me about this place. Prices were a little higher than what I am use to paying at other similar places. The employees are pleasant and always ready to assist. I just walked around to look at the different variety of items. I guess it is all and what you are looking for at the time. Top selection and service. Kenilworth Wine & Spirits offers a great selection of wines and other alcoholic beverages at a decent price. Their seasonal selection is top notch with older items being sold at a discount regularly. Every time I've come into Kenilworth, I've been met with some of the most professional staff in adult beverages distributions. They are polite, knowledgeable and exceedingly friendly. My boyfriend and I recently moved to the area and have our regular go-to spot that's closer to our old apartment. We have been making the effort to support the stores closer to our new home, so when we needed to buy a few things before a night out, he reminded me of a place up the street from us. When we parked, I was excited to see that they had some items from Hysteria Brewing, one of my favorite local breweries. Parking is a predictable mess (as to be expected when sharing the small lot with Trader Joe's). The store itself is clean, open, well lit and overall impressive. The customer service was extremely disappointing. We walked in, noticed 2 men at the checkout counters. Neither of them acknowledged our presence or greeted us. We were the only ones in the store for several minutes and were thoroughly ignored. We walked the store, looking for the Hysteria Brewery items and had a hard time finding it. After 2 walks around, a 3rd gentleman walked right by us and didn't acknowledge us, I started to get very annoyed. So I decided to approach the counter in hopes of prompting some help instead of walking out like I wanted. Another customer started to walk up, the guy at the counter looked at me, looked at her and addressed her enthusiastically as she checked out. My boyfriend had to go to the other counter to ask the guy for help but by now, I was thoroughly ticked off and uninterested in spending my money there. After being prompted to help us, the gentleman was kind enough to show us where the items were but I made the decision to simply leave and take my money to Wells on York Rd. (at the LEAST, security will acknowledge you). I hesitated to make this a race issue but I will not pretend that I didn't notice everyone that received an enthusiastic acknowledgment did not look like us. The one star is for the 3rd guy that actually held the door open for me while I stormed out, visibly ticked off, otherwise, it would be 0 stars. I am highly disappointed in my experience as a customer at this store and will not be returning. I've made the decision to travel out of my way to continue going to Wells where I know the customer service is going to be top notch. As someone that used to work in retail, I understand customer service is hard and customers are really annoying, but the basics of doing your job is acknowledging every single customer that comes through your doors and offering some sort of assistance. read more

I went into the store to browse as a novice in wine and spirits and was met by a very friendly and informative salesperson named Shelby. She spoke to me about the numerous dessert wines they had in stock that met my price range. I sometimes worry if I don't spend an arm and a leg at a liquor store I'll be seen as a nuisance. Far from it. I'll definitely coming back again to try more of their selections. read more
