Treat yourself and go see "Kay" Kaneisha Thomas and let you her work her magic on you! I received a gift card and I finally used it. I hope Kaneisha sees this because I want to thank you for the truly exceptional massage I received from you. Your skill and care made the experience incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. Thank you for your outstanding professionalism and for creating such a wonderful session. read more

First time here and I had a great experience. Starting with the appointment online that was super simple and easy to navigate. I got an evening appointment with VonVonand she was fantastic. I will be back for sure. read more

I had a 90 min massage with Mickey this evening and it was absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend him!

Michelle should not be giving massages. What she does is a body rub down. There is no attention to obvious knots. She asked the pressure and I said firm. She was firm but doing anything effective. Literally just rubbung my skin in long strokes. She also did more on the left than my right? And she does something with her hand where she removes it mid stroke and then puts it back throughout the entire massage. Too fast to be checking a phone but not right either. I get massages all the time and my normal masseuse was not available so I thought I would give a new place a try. Not going to go there again. Maybe they have other good therapists, but if they are allowing her to work there then I question their hiring. read more

Would give one million stars if I could. This was easily the best massage I have ever had in my life. It was also my first cupping experience and it was incredible. Von not only took my physical pain away but relieved so much tension and stress mentally. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone and would go a thousand times over. read more

Amanda is the best when I need a deep tissue massage. Love this place. Very professional and friendly.

I'm a massage snob. I've been searching all over Memphis to find "the" perfect place. These are what I look for: (1) Skills: I like my massage harder, but not too hard that it hurts. (2) Convenience : A user-friendly website that allow me to book the appointments without having to "leave a message". (3) Fair pricing I had a therapeutic massage with Amanda today. My search has come to an end! I've already booked more sessions. Thank you! read more

I've been coming here twice a month for a year now, and I have thoughts. I only book with Corlis bc I love me some her lol. My issue is that whenever I pay, the system glitches and charges me twice. Normally it's not a big deal, but I find it inconvenient having my money tied up because of an issue with the system. Recently, Corlis told me she'd just charge me when I come again and get paid less. I wasn't having that because I don't feel like it was her fault. Really hope they get that fixed or figure out a better way to do it. Only giving four stars for Corlis. The issue with payment is getting irksome. read more

As a former therapist myself, I find it difficult to find a bodyworker I trust to do good, safe work but I love Midtown Massage! A friend recommended them to me and after my first appt with Ben, I was hooked. The space is clean, cozy and inviting and they are respectful of client's privacy and health concerns (Covid masking policy on the front door.) They are on-time, listen to client's wishes and perform great bodywork. I have received 2 massages so far and plan on going in monthly. Highly recommend these folks! read more

Just needed a quick massage and popped in to Midtown. I did not have to wait long and was treated to a fabulous massage. Just the perfect amount of deep tissue kneading that left me feeling both relaxed and invigorated. Highly recommended and would definitely return. read more

Normally, they are very professional, but today was awful. The masseuse, Corlis, texted me 20 minutes before my appointment asking me if I could come at 10:30 instead of 10. I was already on the way and had made arrangements so that I could be on time. I arrived before she did. She came in looking like she had just stepped out the shower, hair soak and wet, with a rushed energy. The thing is this: on their website they tell you to respect the masseuse's time and if you don't, you still have to pay 100% of the price, but they are allowed to not respect your time at all without any repercussion. Anyway, Violeta ended up doing my massage and I was glad cause I didn't want Corliss' scattered energy anywhere near me. Even though Violeta did the massage, it still felt rushed and tense, but she tried her best. Needless to say, I'm never coming back here again!! read more

I am a server who spends most hours on my feet and carry tension in my shoulders. My boyfriend gifted my with a 90 min deep tissue massage with the essential herbal oil option to this business bc of the positive reviews and let me say it was AMAZING! Ben is PHENOMENAL. He was wonderful at making me comfortable and had an absolutely impeccable skill in working me through all of my troubled spots. His skill and professionalism was more than I was expecting, and I cannot wait until my next appointment! read more

Violeta is someone I've visited with for a while now. She provided a CBD therapeutic massage that truly reset my body from weeks of stress due to moving. I trusted her craft to focus on areas where she felt the most tension and toxic pockets, and she worked them out very well. I happily recommend Violeta for her skill set, calm and warm spirit, and all around good nature. read more

I've tried to use a $140 gift certificate that my son bought me twice now, only to be cancelled right before my appointment, twice now! I work during the week so Saturday is the only day that I have. I book my appointments way in advance, only to be canceled each time. I want my son to be refunded for purchasing a gift certificate I will apparently never be able to use! read more

This place is amazing! :) The atmosphere is so relaxing (honestly I think I fell asleep a few times during the massage) and I felt calmer as soon as I walked through the doors. The employees are also very knowledgeable about what they're doing, and I've never had a back massage as good and as thorough as the one I received here. I enjoyed myself so much that I scheduled a massage for my boyfriend, as well, who struggles with back issues, too. He also had nothing but good things to say about his experience, and we've decided that this is going to be our massage spot from now on. Thank you so much, Midtown Massage & Bodywork! read more

Amanda provided a really solid deep tissue massage. I am considering returning to try a cupping treatment. I feel quite relaxed and my body feels peaceful after the massage. Definitely will be returning. read more

An excellent massage - firm enough to relax those tight muscles, without hurting. Invigorating. Pleasant setting. I highly recommend them. read more

I received a prenatal 60 minute massage by Amanda. It was fantastic. The rooms are so beautiful. The light fixtures are beautiful shining on the ceiling. She started me out on my back and massaged my face, scalp and shoulders. Then sat me up and massaged my feet and legs. She asked if I was comfortable to lay on my stomach and I said yes. I was only 13 weeks along at the time and it didn't bother me. Then she finished the massage. Worth the time and money! I will definitely schedule again! read more

Great work, as always. I've never had a bad experience here. Very friendly and they work hard to make you feel comfortable.

Yes, I am a guy who occasionally gets a massage. I am also a guy who has from time to time felt 'walked on' by other people - which is usually not a great experience. NOW, however, I can say I have really been walked on, and it was a FANTASTIC experience. After a few friends from Yelp convinced me that I needed to go to Midtown Massage, I was intrigued by the Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy. I have seen in movies this whole process of barefoot massage, so I had to try it for myself. It was just extrodinary. Karina was my therapist and she excellent. Very careful from a pressure stand point, and completely relaxed me through the entire process. This was an event I was looking forward to since first learning about Midtown Massage and I was not disappointed. I will be back! read more

I just finished a herbal therapeutic massage with Amanda, and I'm completely blissed out. What a great way to spend my birthday! I already booked a follow up appointment because my Type A self needed to know when I could feel like this again. Amanda was hospitable and took her time even when we were running short on time. Experiencing a massage from a masseuse that truly prioritizes her clients' wellness is a great gift. I can't wait to come back! read more

Without realizing what day it was, I booked my massage (first time to MMB) on St. Patrick's Day, which was a Saturday. I was worried the outside noise would be bothersome, but as soon as Ashley put her angelic hands on my body, I was in total nirvana. I've been told before that I have "unrealistic" expectations in regard to how a massage should feel and how the experience should come off. For me, massage is physical therapy. Yes, relaxing is wonderful, but I suffer from back pain and shoulder strain. So, finding a great masseuse that notes this and actually performs massage therapy is beyond refreshing. No more fancy spas, no more breaking the bank. Midtown Massage just got a brand new monthly regular! Also, the space is clean, pleasantly lit with dim lights, and very relaxing. I highly recommend to anyone in need of massage therapy or just a little R&R. Thanks, Ashley, you rock! See ya next month! read more

I had a fantastic experience at Midtown Massage & Bodywork, (so fantastic, I'm going back next week!). Amanda is super knowledgable and perceptive, she asked all the right questions to help better my experience. I had the 90 minute (90 minutes is the way to go!!) deep tissue herbal massage and it was absolutely wonderful. The techniques she used on my back, neck, and shoulders were fantastic. She also referred me to another therapist for a 90-minute cupping treatment to help with my tightness. Amanda truly has a gift and I can't wait to come back. read more

Less than pleased with my massage yesterday (with Kelly I think). I had requested multiple times for the main focus of my massage to be in my neck and shoulders with hard pressure, due to soreness from a recent injury. Yet, I ended up with a full body, unfocused and mild pressure massage and still left with neck and shoulder soreness. My neck muscle knots were rolled over, and not delved into or addressed, basically only acknowledged they were there. I really needed a true deep tissue focused massage. Additionally, at the end, there was no discussion of what to expect, need to hydrate, or what she found on massage. It was just a request of payment. I've had many massages, and this has never happened. If water isn't offered, it is always encouraged to "flush out the lactic acid. Though I appreciate the work done on my arms, legs, hand and feet, that really is not what I had asked for. And at $80 for a massage (before tip), I was expecting my wishes to be respected. Given the excellent reviews, I am so sad I was disappointed by this massage. read more

Was here for a yelp event and I didn't know what to expect because I've never had a massage from a professional be done. I wish it was a massage on the table but since it was for an event, we did the chair massage which was still really awesome. Each person got a 10 mins massage but it was the best 10 mins of your life. I personally like deep tissue type of massages, and they did an awesome job at getting into my knots. They do provide table services for when you go regularly instead of an event. And I believe it is an appointment only instead of having an option to walk in. Make sure you do not drink any type alcohol before you get your massage because when you get a massage, it'll heighten everything up so do take caution. If you check in, you'll also get a $5 off coupon!! read more

Midtown Massage & Bodywork - One of the rooms at the massage parlor - Massage Therapy Near Me - Memphis, Tennessee

I previously loved this business, but unfortunately the customer service was HIGHLY disappointing when speaking to the owner today. I was gifted a certificate before COVID-19 struck and because the pandemic I did not feel comfortable going in to use it. I called today to see if it were still good and what the business was doing to extend the deadline of expiration due to the virus. Instead of being understanding and taking a loyal customer into consideration I was told that they were only closed 2 months and that I could have come in *mid pandemic* to redeem it- despite my uncomfortableness to go. It was very disappointing and unprofessional to see this business be so in-sensitive regarding a large impact on their customers' wellbeing. Might I add- I have recommended many people to go there and support their business in the past. I cannot say that the same will happen in the future. read more

Just had a wonderful prenatal massage with Violeta! Despite it being 5:30 on a work day during a pandemic and stormy weather, I was totally relaxed when I got to Midtown Massage. Parking was easy as there was street parking right out front, and the charming house provides a really nice, cozy atmosphere. I've had a few massages before, but this was my first prenatal massage. I'm seven months along, so definitely have hit the uncomfortable stage, but I was totally comfortable the whole time. Violeta did a great job relieving tension in my back, hips and legs - all those areas that bear the brunt of a big belly. I left feeling very zen and can immediately tell a difference in my back. I will be back and will be recommending to friends! read more

I'm not the massage enthusiast and I don't normally like people touching me. I only tried it since my bff bought me a gift certificate to Midtown Massage, and boy am I glad she did! It was my first ever massage, and I was extremely nervous. Kat greeted me when I arrived, and was also the masseuse to work on me. She explained the general process and what to expect. She also worked on my problem areas all while being gentle. It was a pleasant experience that left me feeling refreshed and brand new! It left me wondering how I've gone all this time without ever pampering myself. It's definitely opened up my world and now I'm thinking of making massages a monthly thing. After all, you gotta treat yo'self! Something to consider: aroma therapy option? I would have liked that, but maybe it would clash with whatever oils/creams they use on you. I didn't request it, but I just wonder if it's an option. read more

I have thoroughly enjoyed my massage from Midtown Massage & Bodywork, LLC in Cooper Young! Karina Mueller did a fantastic job of kneading out all my stress and tension. Thank you so much for letting me experience your wonderful services. I have nothing but great things to say about this place! It's located in a cute cottage styled house and has a relaxing oasis feel to it once you step onto their patio. The music playing in the background definitely gets you in a relaxing mood. I highly recommend that we all take the time and money to invest into ourselves and our health and sanity at least once a year. I can't wait to go back!! read more

Wow, what a wonderful massage!! I did the 60 minutes with Nikia and I feel completely relaxed. She's super sweet and made me feel very comfortable during the massage. She really focused on my trouble areas and I am very pleased. I highly recommend this place to anyone who has had a bad experiences in the past. I was once badly bruised from a lady that didn't understand what go softer meant. She's a good listener and asked me if the pressure was ok throughout the massage. The atmosphere was also prefect with soft instrumental music and dim lighting. read more

I was treated by Amanda yesterday and it was wonderful! In the last 15 years I have lived in numerous cities, both big and small, and get massages a few times a year, but it can be difficult to find a massage like the one I had yesterday. Many times I get massages, that for lack of a better word, can feel "generic". But Amanda was very intuitive as to what was going on, and I could tell that the massage was done based off of my trouble spots, rather than a pattern that is used on everyone regardless of their issues. I didn't expect that the massage would also include massaging my face, scalp, and feet, and that was such a wonderful surprise! Not only was the massage fantastic, but you can't beat the price! Can't wait to go again. read more

I pulled my back muscle in a workout class and was in desperate need of a massage. I love how easy it was to schedule! All I had to do was go online and within two minutes...boom! I had an appointment. First, can we talk about how much character this place has? Absolutely adorable. The chandeliers and paint colors really set the mood for total calmness. I love how there's only three rooms as well. I'm pretty sure we had the whole place to ourselves, and if we didn't, I had no idea anyone else was in there! Larrie recommended Karina, and I'm so glad she did. It was amazing. Actually incredible. This was my first time getting a massage so I know she had a whole lotta kinks to workout. I'm leaving feeling completely rejuvenated and stress free. They have a few different massage styles to choose from, but I went with the therapeutic. I highly recommend this place. The staff is so kind and friendly. You can really tell they love what they do! read more

I was suffering from a sharp pain in my shoulder and my friend Tracy Davis recommend Midtown Massage. I booked online for the deep tissue massage with CBD oils, with masseuse Lizzie. The stretch was perfect and I came out feeling so much better! I can't wait to book again and their assortment of massages. read more

I was extremely impressed with my first visit to Midtown Massage & Body works. I was able to schedule a last minute appointment and didn't have a particular massage therapist in mind. Ashley ended up being selected for me and her services were top notch. Due to HIGH anxiety and tightness in my neck, shoulders, and shoulder blades I decided to go for the Deep tissue massage. This was THE best massage I've had. I could feel the knots and muscles being kneaded through and I was able to get a better night's rest because of the massage. I can't wait to book my next appointment! read more

One of the best massages I've had. Nikia is truly talented. She has that winning combination of being strong enough to work out the knots, but sensitive enough to keep it relaxing.
