I did not see any sign about dogs at the entrance, and while shopping two employees offered to help us--neither mentioned any issue about pets. Out of nowhere, an employee named Sadie walked past us, then doubled back and abruptly said, "You can't have dogs here." I politely apologized and immediately headed toward the front of the store with my dog while my partner stayed behind to pay. Instead of leaving it at that, Sadie followed me and raised her voice, telling me I "should have seen the HUGE sign." The sign was not huge--it was a standard piece of paper and very easy to miss. We have shopped here many times before with our dog and have never been told otherwise, so the hostility was unnecessary. As I continued to leave, Sadie muttered "asshole" under her breath and continued making rude comments even as my partner was checking out. Completely unprofessional and uncalled for. For the record, she also never asked whether my dog was a service animal, which businesses are legally required to do before making assumptions. Instead, she incorrectly claimed it couldn't be a service dog because it didn't have a vest--which is not a legal requirement. To make things worse, Sadie wasn't even wearing a name tag or any form of identification as an employee. If this is how management behaves, I can only imagine how other customers are treated when there isn't a crowd to witness it. We used to shop here often, but after today we will not be returning. Completely disappointed in the lack of professionalism and basic customer respect.

They shave off pennies and dollars from UNSUSPECTING CUSTOMERS. That's right. They either give you a receipt and assume you aren't smart enough to count your change, or they don't give you a receipt so that you don't have proof that YOU WERE JUST ROBBED. How do I know? They've done it to me at all of the 3 stores that I've patronized within a 1 mile radius. They, also, own Joe's Tavern (548 Williamstown Rd. 08081) and Sicklerville News (521 Williamstown Rd., 08081). You'll notice that at Sicklerville News, they don't display prices on many of their items (especially the refrigerated drinks) so that they can make up a price on the fly, charging one person one price and other customers another price. This is not legal in the US. In India, this is the norm. When Town Liquors was run by the lovely Filipino couple a few years ago, service was courteous and honest. Unfortunately, the new East Indian owners ARE RIPPING CUSTOMERS OFF DAILY. Let's respect ourselves and put them out of business by BOYCOTTING ALL OF THEIR LOCATIONS.
