Plus, the place is overcrowded with a bunch of junk and hard to maneuver around like I said if you wanna get a 12 pack of Budweiser have it don't expect much more than that though.

On one trip that I bought a couple cases of beer the big asian guy helped me carry them to my car. The prices seem reasonable to me. Not the cheapest but not overly priced either. All in all, this is a great place.

It was mos def a "trip down memory lane" for him as we walked into The Hub as many of his memorable nights of getting completely hammered in NB usually started with a visit to The Hub. I would like to go ahead and say this right off the bat...I have never seen a more eclectic selection of "liquor blends" and "bum wines" - both of which we indulged in buying. The selection of "liquor blends" (in the padlocked fridge closest to the bar) was what I found to be the most fascinating. It was in this fridge that I was able to find Tarantula's Azul Magaraita "Premium Liquor Blend" in Fresa (strawberry), Melon, Baya (berry) and Mango. This made me reminiscent of my undergrad days....oh..what fun I had drinking the "Premium Liquor Blends." Aside from the Tarantula there was also a liquor blend that was advertised (on the bottle) as "LIQUOR YOU CAN EAT!" I couldn't help but umm...stare at the bottle (in confusion) for a bit. So, the BF got his bum wines and sparks and I got my Tarantula and Sauza Blanco(seriously, you thought that I was going to drink the "liquor blend" sans extra liquor? pssssshhhh...) and the total came out to $26 (my Sauza cost $11). That's pretty damn good considering it was a 40 oz of Night Train, three other smaller bottles of bum wine, three sparks, a Tarantula and a (something bigger than a 1/5 but not a bottle) of Sauza. We were pretty dandy for the weekend. Oh yah, um, Cash ONLY and they stick your ID into this ID thing..so youngins' beware.

In making my selection I viewed the price which was displayed on the box in which the bottles were in...it read a price of $10.99. When I was leaving I realized the person didn't give me a receipt so I asked one and I checked the total $11.72 which was $10.99 + $.73 tax. As I always do I verified my bank account and it showed the amount of $15.XX, sorry do not recall exact amount at this moment. So I visited the store on the next business day. I explained the situation to him, showed him my receipt and even picked up a bottle of wine to show him the one I purchased. He scanned the bottle and informed that it was actually $14.XX. He went to look at the box where the wine was stored and we both noticed that it also had a price of $9.99. Then offered excuses that this wine was placed in the wrong spot, etc. As a consumer I explained that I make my purchases based on the prices I see he continued with unappealing excuses. I felt it was a no win situation and I also mentioned I felt cheated. He never offered offer an apology or anything close to one. I told him I would not support his business again and would share my experience with others who live in the neighborhood. Fortunately, we have 3 or 4 honest and viable options in the local area. Disappointed consumer!
