I came here because I was in search of a good steak. (I did not stay at this hotel) They were doing construction on the front entrance of the Marriott, so I entered through the back (which was probably the main entrance of the restaurant). The service was excellent. You can tell they have a higher level of professionalism. They served some bread with one of the best butters I have tried. I guiltily finished off the complementary bread and asked for more. They have an extensive list of wines, beers, and spirits. The server recommended Jungle Joy by the Brussels Beer Project. It was great! Of course I got the Tomahawk to share. Then I also split a lunch set menu, which came with salad and mussels. The salad was very refreshing and tasty. The mussels was such a large portion and tasted very fresh. It came with fries, which I loved! The kitchen cut our steak for us and served us salad on separate plates. That was very helpful! This lunch for two cost 81 euros without tip and tax. You wouldn't find this gem of a restaurant with this level of service and quality of food in Los Angeles. read more

This review is just for breakfast service during my stay at the Marriott Hotel. The breakfast is more than ample with a variety of foods on the buffet including scrambled eggs, bacon, tomatoes, beans, and pastries, toast, croissants and cereal. The best bonus is the omelette station or eggs made to order. Those were so good and customizable. They also had some waffle irons. I ate here twice for breakfast while staying at the Marriott Hotel. The all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet was 27 euros. The food was not that good and the service could not keep up by cleaning tables, bringing coffee and keeping up with place settings. The scrambled eggs were super-runny and appeared to be half-cooked. I approached the cook at the omelet bar and asked for scrambled eggs a pointed me to the gooey mess that I had seen just minutes earlier. I asked again and he refused so I ordered a "plain omelet" so I chopped it up and pretended they were scrambled. I did order an omelet the day before but felt like something different. You make your own waffles and serve your own items except for omelets and coffee. I did drink here for four nights as there is a bar here. There was a limited selection of beers here although the bartenders seemed very knowledgeable about mixology. A tall draft beer ran about 6 euros. They served Stella Artois and Leffe on tap. Stella is American trendy and Leffe is just awful. read more

Oh man this was some great food. We had a great bottle of wine. This restaurant looks over the center city of Brussel. Great upscale place to go and eat great food. Most of the food I brought from local farmers. Very nice romantic place to go. Or just a very cool place to go with anybody. read more

This restaurant is located next to the lobby of the Marriott Brussels. I decided to dine in yesterday for a late dinner. I ordered the filet which came with the choice of a sauce and I added on a side of potatoes. For dessert, I selected apple tart which was decent with ice cream on top. The restaurant also has a breakfast buffet available with an omelette station, potatoes, assorted fruit, cereals, breakfast meat & bread. There was also a selection of meat and cheeses. We were visiting Brussels for just 2 nights as part of a mini Euro-trip. We heard Belgium was known for steak frites, and so we started looking at options around town and ended up at the Midtown Grill. It has a nice casual and intimate atmosphere and Kathlyn, Jacques and Marie were very attentive. The food was served in a timely manner and was delicious; cooked to perfection! I have eaten here twice while staying at the Marriott. The first time, for dinner, I had the steak which was passable though noting to write home about. My most recent visit was for lunch. I had a very poor rendition of a hamburger - undercooked meat (beef and the bacon) on a stale bun. The beef was so-so quality with little flavor. I've been coming to the Marriott for at least 15 years. Solo, with my wife, and with the kids. We have never had a bad experience here. They treat you like royalty. As an recent example: Flew in on Monday, unfortunately my flight was delayed and by the time I got here, they weren't making omelettes any longer, I was disappointed to say the least. After saying hello to Chief Austin I simply said my flight was delayed, and without anything else being said he asked, even though the grill was cleaned up and all the fixings put away if I wanted an omelette, they are great. Why yes, thank you, even made me a smoothie. I'd also like to thank Abdoulaye, Dennis, Aileen, Kathryn, Rowan, and many others who have made me feel like I'm part of a family when on the road. I usually discount restaurants attached to hotels but needed a quick dinner before going to the opera, and many restaurants locally weren't open early enough to accommodate our schedule. The food here was surprisingly good. The reason that I didn't give it five stars was due to the service, but that could also be that American expectations aren't in line with standards of service here. read more
