    Seafood spaghetti

We stopped by The Lobster House for dinner while on our honeymoon in Brussels, and wow... such a great choice. They're famous for their seafood paella with lobster, which is a must-try here. We skipped it since we wanted to save our full paella experience for Barcelona. I ordered the seafood spaghetti and my husband fell in love with it lol. There's something special about the sauce, so rich and flavorful. It was so good that we had to come back again before leaving the city. We also had the mussels, of course. You can't come to Brussels and not do "mussels in Brussels." The white wine sauce was amazing, and the frites that came with it were hot, fresh, and perfect for dipping. Portions are generous and everything is great for sharing. We also loved the fresh rolls they bring out at the start. The service is great! The ambiance is cozy and relaxed, perfect for a casual dinner or a special night out. I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. If I'm ever back in Brussels, I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

A must-visit for seafood lovers in Brussels! It gets incredibly busy, so I highly recommend making a reservation in advance (it's very easy to do online). While the seating is a little cramped, it has a warm, cozy atmosphere that adds to the charm. The staff was fantastic--very friendly and accommodating from start to finish. We ordered the seafood paella and the mussels, and both were delicious and fresh. The portions are quite generous; we left feeling completely stuffed. Great value and a great experience!

Convenient location in a busy area, but thought this place was mediocre. We ate here because they were able to seat our large party of 10ppl without any reservation. It was a warm summer day and no AC, but I think that's the case for most of Belgium. Overall, food was mid -- nothing stood out or tasted particularly delicious that I'd want to come back. And since it's seafood, it's a bit pricey as well. People rave about the mussels, and I can admit they were decent. But I just had the best buttery garlic mussels a few days prior, so the bar had been set pretty high. I think the lobster paella was also not bad?? Or it's just the lobster, really.

We walked in without a reservation which apparently is not recommended given how popular this restaurant is. Thankfully, we were able to get a table inside. The restaurant itself is very quiet, so it's a great place to have nice intimate conversations. Service was relatively quick. On top of this, we enjoyed our mussels. I'd say that the cream with garlic tasted better than the white wine. We also ordered bread to help soak up the sauce. I'm so happy I got to experience mussels and frites in Brussels!

Beautiful restaurant and incredible service! The seafood was abundant and so delicious, be sure to say hi to Antonio--so helpful, friendly, and welcoming! He was well-versed in the menu and also speaks multiple languages! Definitely stop by if you're in the area :)

Only had time for one dinner in Brussels, we had to make it count! Picked The Lobster House after doing some research. Good thing we called in a reservation, because they were super full when we got there! Had escargot and Italian green and red salad for appetizers. Escargot was pretty conventional and the salad was...well, basic salad. Had the sea bass and Spanish paella with fresh 1/2 lobster as entrées. Sea bass was good, albeit a bit small for how much we were paying for it. The Spanish paella though was worth the price of admission! They did not hold back on the seafood for this at all. By far the best dish they had there. Service was good. They were pretty friendly here. Even held our table even though we were pretty late. Only regret is that we didn't get another opportunity to come back since our waiter insisted that we come back. But I would love to come back again if I come back to Brussels.

My first trip to Brussels, Lobster House was close to my hotel and had good reviews so decided to give it a try. Locationwise super convenient and located in old town by the Royal Gallery of St Hubert. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, but be warned when you sit outside people sitting next to you may sample. That aside the staff there was really friendly. I tried the half lobster, because how can I not? The flavors were great, but the lobster isn't a large portion. Good thing the sides were there. I'm glad I tried the Lobster House, but next time I think I would pass. There are a lot of places to try in the immediate option.

Lobster House was solid. We checked it out because it had a ton of good reviews. Ended up sitting outside--definitely a bit chilly... :/ The mussels were amazing! Definitely the highlight and 100% worth the hype. We ordered a bunch of seafood overall, and it was good, nothing crazy. The jamón with melon was just okay... probably would've skipped that one. But seriously, don't miss the mussels! It was creamy and delicious!

We had a reservation (highly recommended) for 6pm and were seated immediately. Friendly staff and very good service. Food (rack of lamb and paella) was delicious.

Thank you Lobster House for a delicious lunch! We didn't have reservations but we were lucky to be seated by the friendly staff. The restaurant is beautiful inside with warm wood and I loved the holiday decorations. The mussels were amazing and are a must order if you visit. They're sweet and tender. The broth at the bottom was incredibly flavorful. Delicious!

The beef tenderloin and Bay was absolutely incredible. We're from New York City and we've traveled many places throughout Europe. This is likely the best beef I've ever had! Enjoy my traveling Friends!

I just didn't enjoy anything that we ordered. Sadly, it was my least favorite meal that we had in Belgium. Based on all the reviews, I think it's clear that it's not the place per se, but what I was looking for. That being said, I still must be honest. What we ordered: Cheddar Croquettes (2 for 14 Euros): Just ok and this was one of the things that I felt was overpriced Carpaccio of Smoked Beef with White Truffle Oil (18 Euros): Again, just ok Meatloaf with "Jack Pepper" sauce (26 Euros): "Jack Pepper" means something different in Brussels. It was basically a peppercorn gravy. I wasn't a fan, but Jim G. enjoyed it. With this, we had frites and a small side salad. I know many people recommend that Flemish Beef Stew, but we already had that at Fin de Siecle, and I couldn't imagine that any place would top it, so we didn't get it here. Ultimately, this place isn't for me, but I seem to be in the minority.

He reminded us of a combination of Neil Fak (from The Bear) and Lazlow (from What We Do in the Shadows). He was coordinating the line, seating, and gave outstanding recommendations, as well as praise, when we picked our wine. We were quoted about 45 minutes to wait, as they don't take reservations. A two-top opened up inside and Julian was concerned that it would be too hot, so he made me go inside to check first. Thankfully, it was right by the open area leading to outside, so we took it and were seated in about 20 minutes, rather than 45. The place was packed the entire time we were there; its reputation certainly precedes it. Good energy and beautifully decorated with stunning art inside. Carbonades a la Biere (beef stew; 19.45 Euros) is their speciality and was delicious! So reasonably priced for the flavor and te size of the dish! After Julian mentioned that the lamb is the best dish on the menu, there was no question that I was ordering it. Jarret d'Agneau Roti (Roasted Lamb Shank; 27.35 Euros) was so very good! Full of Rosemary and so tender! As Julian was running by, I quickly asked him: "Tiramisu or Tarte Tatin?" No hesitation, he replied, "Tarte Tatin." I wasn't sure if he actually put the order in for us or not, but then it arrived at our table and it was delicious! Pear Tarte (8.65 Euros) with a side of ice cream. Not too sweet, with lovely spices in the pears. Cash only, always a line, but totally worth it!

After examining the menu thoroughly I settled on the house specialty of spaghetti bolo and a café russe to wash it all down. An incongruous blend, I know, but hey, in a 24hr Belgian diner anything goes. Needless to say the bolo was like nothing I've ever had. Served over slightly overcooked vermicelli and topped with grated gruyere, the peppery, chunky bolognaise sauce had a regressive, quirky, heartiness to it that made the whole dish super fun to eat.
