We stopped by The Lobster House for dinner while on our honeymoon in Brussels, and wow... such a great choice. They're famous for their seafood paella with lobster, which is a must-try here. We skipped it since we wanted to save our full paella experience for Barcelona. I ordered the seafood spaghetti and my husband fell in love with it lol. There's something special about the sauce, so rich and flavorful. It was so good that we had to come back again before leaving the city. We also had the mussels, of course. You can't come to Brussels and not do "mussels in Brussels." The white wine sauce was amazing, and the frites that came with it were hot, fresh, and perfect for dipping. Portions are generous and everything is great for sharing. We also loved the fresh rolls they bring out at the start. The service is great! The ambiance is cozy and relaxed, perfect for a casual dinner or a special night out. I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. If I'm ever back in Brussels, I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!
A must-visit for seafood lovers in Brussels! It gets incredibly busy, so I highly recommend making a reservation in advance (it's very easy to do online). While the seating is a little cramped, it has a warm, cozy atmosphere that adds to the charm. The staff was fantastic--very friendly and accommodating from start to finish. We ordered the seafood paella and the mussels, and both were delicious and fresh. The portions are quite generous; we left feeling completely stuffed. Great value and a great experience!
Convenient location in a busy area, but thought this place was mediocre. We ate here because they were able to seat our large party of 10ppl without any reservation. It was a warm summer day and no AC, but I think that's the case for most of Belgium. Overall, food was mid -- nothing stood out or tasted particularly delicious that I'd want to come back. And since it's seafood, it's a bit pricey as well. People rave about the mussels, and I can admit they were decent. But I just had the best buttery garlic mussels a few days prior, so the bar had been set pretty high. I think the lobster paella was also not bad?? Or it's just the lobster, really.
We walked in without a reservation which apparently is not recommended given how popular this restaurant is. Thankfully, we were able to get a table inside. The restaurant itself is very quiet, so it's a great place to have nice intimate conversations. Service was relatively quick. On top of this, we enjoyed our mussels. I'd say that the cream with garlic tasted better than the white wine. We also ordered bread to help soak up the sauce. I'm so happy I got to experience mussels and frites in Brussels!
Beautiful restaurant and incredible service! The seafood was abundant and so delicious, be sure to say hi to Antonio--so helpful, friendly, and welcoming! He was well-versed in the menu and also speaks multiple languages! Definitely stop by if you're in the area :)

Good thing we called in a reservation, because they were super full when we got there! Had escargot and Italian green and red salad for appetizers. Escargot was pretty conventional and the salad was...well, basic salad. Had the sea bass and Spanish paella with fresh 1/2 lobster as entrées. Sea bass was good, albeit a bit small for how much we were paying for it. The Spanish paella though was worth the price of admission! They did not hold back on the seafood for this at all. By far the best dish they had there. Service was good. They were pretty friendly here. Even held our table even though we were pretty late. Only regret is that we didn't get another opportunity to come back since our waiter insisted that we come back. But I would love to come back again if I come back to Brussels.

Locationwise super convenient and located in old town by the Royal Gallery of St Hubert. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, but be warned when you sit outside people sitting next to you may sample. That aside the staff there was really friendly. I tried the half lobster, because how can I not? The flavors were great, but the lobster isn't a large portion. Good thing the sides were there. I'm glad I tried the Lobster House, but next time I think I would pass. There are a lot of places to try in the immediate option.
Lobster House was solid. We checked it out because it had a ton of good reviews. Ended up sitting outside--definitely a bit chilly... :/ The mussels were amazing! Definitely the highlight and 100% worth the hype. We ordered a bunch of seafood overall, and it was good, nothing crazy. The jamón with melon was just okay... probably would've skipped that one. But seriously, don't miss the mussels! It was creamy and delicious!

Thank you Lobster House for a delicious lunch! We didn't have reservations but we were lucky to be seated by the friendly staff. The restaurant is beautiful inside with warm wood and I loved the holiday decorations. The mussels were amazing and are a must order if you visit. They're sweet and tender. The broth at the bottom was incredibly flavorful. Delicious!
The food was DELICIOUS! I had lobster and it was perfectly steamed and so sweet. Eve try one at my table enjoyed their meal. Also, the service was great- everyone was friendly and accommodating and service was fast and professional! I'd come back

My wife wanted Mussels in Brussels so I went to Yelp and found Lobster House. We walked by many restaurants, some very crowded, but our mission was Lobster House! My wife had her mussels along with a salad while I had the paella. Best damn paella I have ever had!! Trust me, I have had many. The shrimp, mussels, clams, and calamari were plentiful and delicious. The saffron rice cooked perfectly. So much I couldn't finish but I did! This is a must in Old Town Brussels!!! Add the perfectly timed service and it was an exceptional experience!! read more
Last night's dinner was packed, with all the outdoor tables full. Luckily, we were able to get a table inside. We noticed many guests ordering the paella, so we decided to try the seafood paella along with six oysters, escargot, and a salad. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the customer service was excellent. Overall, all the seafood tasted fresh and flavorful. However, the seafood in the paella was slightly overcooked, which caused it to lose some of its natural juiciness and affected the texture. Other than that, everything else was great, and we had an enjoyable dining experience. :) read more
I booked our table a couple weeks in advance and based on how quickly the restaurant filled up that evening I'm glad we did. Outdoor seating was the most popular but we dined inside out of the heat. Fans helped a bit but more would be better. Our server highlighted the lobster and sharing dishes but we ended up just getting paella and grilled fish. I was quite happy with the sea bream which was a substantial portion for the price. It was cooked nicely and very meaty with a mild flavor. The accompanying sides were not an afterthought since vegetables were tender, seasoned and the fried potato cylinders added a little texture. The paella was also a decent choice with lots of seafood variety but if the rice was wetter than expected and missing the browned crunchy aspect. The entrees were quite filling and we didn't have enough space for dessert. Service was as expected. One item to point out, we caught whiffs of cigarette smoke from the diners outside (via open front windows) which was a bit annoying. read more

The beef tenderloin and Bay was absolutely incredible. We're from New York City and we've traveled many places throughout Europe. This is likely the best beef I've ever had! Enjoy my traveling Friends! read more
Ate here twice during our week in Brussels. The two occasions were totally different. The first visit was outstanding and the second visit just average. Therefore a total rating of 4. Our first visit we shared both meals as we do most meals. We had the half grilled lobster served with rice and grilled peppers and the Saint Jacques Meunière (scallops in butter sauce). Everything was perfect. The lobster was very fresh and the presentation was great. There were even two small shrimp served next to the half lobster. The sides were tasty as well. The Saint Jacques was the show stopper. It was outstanding. There were about 5 huge scallops and additional 3 prawns that had been sautéed in a to die for butter sauce. I kept dipping my lobster meat and my shrimp in that succulent sauce. Perfect everything. The second visit was just not quite the same. I think they had more outside diners that were ordering lots of big lobster plates that had their total attention. That was ok. We ordered the once again Saint Jacques but then changed the second dish to be that of a big pot of mussels...Mussels Maison - Of the House(specialty). The Saint Jacques did not have that indepth butter sauce that it did earlier. It actually had almost no Butter Sauce. Seemed to be maybe rushed. The scallops were still very good but the shrimp not so much. A bit overcooked. The mussels were served and they were beautiful. A huge pot and very full. The problem with the mussels were two fold. The sauce did not have much taste and there was not much of it. I had to add salt to bring out any taste in the dish...and a lot of it. Service was great. Prices very reasonable. Would probably return. Recommend that you try it. read more
I stopped by Lobster House in Brussels for dinner recently. In terms of food, I had their Mussels with White Wine (Moules-frites). The mussels were really fresh and the wine amazingly complemented the mussels. Overall, it was a solid dish and I'd go back given the opportunity. Note that the dish at this restaurant may be a couple of euro more expensive than other places but it was worth it so I'd give it 8.8/10. read more

Delicious foods, Outstanding service! The seafood platter with lobster is highly recommended!! (4 people suggested, 2-3 people without more orders other than wines.) Thought this is simply a tourist place yet dining here was catalyst of a wonderful trip to Brussels. Everything in the seafood plater was fresh and cooked just right. Staffs were real seafood experts who were also helping to open the lobster. When we received the bill, we realized that they ordered the wrong plater, which's portion was bigger for 4 ppl. The owner simply adjusted the bill despite we tried to tell that we would pay since we've finished. read more

The best mussels I've ever had. Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Next time we're in Brussels, we'll have to try their lobster because it looked so good. And a special treat that they gave us limoncello to end the meal. read more

It is my first time in Brussels and read the great reviews about this place. Our hotel concierge called for reservations but they had no openings for dinner. We decided to try our luck and stop by. They seated us outside and we had a delightful and memorable dinner. The scallops were cooked to perfection. The lobster, rice and veggies were delicious. The service was so warm and generous and we enjoyed chatting with them. They surprised us with limoncello at the end! I was thrilled! read more
Incredible! You won't find more knowledgeable and kind waiters, better seafood, or comfortable atmosphere. Nisar was absolutely amazing and made the whole experience more fun! The meal was unreal. Get the lobster. Don't be silly. Get the lobster and some mussels and a few wines. You want to be a smart person of culture, right? Go here and eat a lot! read more

Our meal at Lobster house was surprisingly pleasant. Service was great, we ordered the fish soup and a whole lobster (52 Euro) that was cooked perfectly and fresh. The fish soup reminded me of the fish soup in Lyon, very hearty and perfect for the cold weather. read more
