Exceptional Service & Truly Trustworthy Team at Big O Tires!…read more I can't say enough great things about Big O Tires. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with professionalism, honesty, and genuine care for both my car and my time. The entire team goes above and beyond to make sure everything is clearly explained, fairly priced, and done right the first time. A special shout-out to Mark, the manager, who sets the tone for outstanding customer service. Mark is knowledgeable, patient, and truly takes pride in making sure every customer feels taken care of. You can tell he runs a tight, well-organized shop with integrity and heart. Whether it's routine maintenance, tire replacements, or unexpected car issues, Big O Tires consistently delivers fast, reliable, high-quality work. It's rare to find an auto shop you can genuinely trust but this is one of them. If you're looking for honest service, great communication, and a team that treats your car like their own, I highly recommend Big O Tires. They've earned a loyal customer for life!

After I picked up my truck and continued on my way, I noticed that my truck started sounding and feeling worse and worse. When I returned to New Orleans, I had my mechanic inspect the front suspension. THE BOLTS HAD NEVER BEEN TIGHTENED after they had performed the work. Not only could I have been killed by this negligence, but now I have extra damage to my struts that will require replacement. I feel incredibly lucky it wasn't worse, and that me and my dog made it home safely!!! Not only will I NEVER trust them again, but I HIGHLY URGE everyone to avoid this shop.

I am travelling across country from the east coast and was referred to Matt by O'Reilly's Auto Part…read moreto assist with battery replacement for my Mercedes Sprinter van. On that day, Matt quickly arrived, assessed the problem and replaced the battery. He was personable and his charge was reasonable. During conversation, I learned that Matt would also be able to purchase and program a key fob for my van. We discussed price and timing for this service, and as he requested, I paid him up front via Venmo $287.54 for him to purchase the fob. The plan was to reconnect several days later after the fob arrived for him to program the fob to my van. On the expected date, 8/28 Matt let me know he would prefer to meet on 8/29. On 8/29, Matt let me know that the fob had not arrived, and in addition, his phone was broken and worked only intermittently. He texted to say he would meet me in Estes Park once the fob arrived to do the programming. I sent Matt a text on 8/30, 8/31, 9/2 and 9/3 as well as left a voice message. No response. On 9/4 I let him know that I sent a Venmo request for him to reimburse me for the cost of the key fob. On 9/5 I spoke with O'Reilly's and was told they had seen Matt who had a new phone. I finally heard from Matt on 9/10. He stated he has the key fob and would meet me in Estes the following day. On 9/11 I asked for time confirmation and he responded he had just left Glenwood and would arrive 5-5:30pm. He never showed up. On 9/12 after several texts, he finally got back to me saying he would refund my money. To this date, 9/15, he has not responded to me, nor refunded my money. Matt may be a decent mechanic, but he is also a scammer and a thief and takes advantage of honest, trusting individuals. What a shame.

They found a more cost effective solution than ford would have and had it fixed in less than a week, for not much money. Mr. transmission, who did a free scan for me, and sent me their way from next door. Nick at the front desk said he could fit me in, which I greatly appreciated so we could potentially get home the same day. I thought we were in good hands considering they worked me in same day. Sadly that's where it went downhill. He didn't give me any sort of initial quote or disclaim there would be a "diagnostic labor charge". Since the guy next door did it no charge, I assumed it was the same with Alpine since this wasn't discussed. Additionally, he did say we probably needed to change the spark plugs, which I assumed wouldn't be too bad- you can get iridium NGK's for around $35 / 6, plus a little labor for the install. Daniel swapped a coil pack to rule that out as the potential issue, and said its most likely rocker arm- a 10 hour job - obviously we couldn't get that done but we'd be ok to drive home and get that fixed when we had more time. When we got the bill, we were horrified that it was nearly $700 for 6 spark plugs plus labor. Once I took a closer look at the bill at home, I noticed some shady and dishonest practices. The initial "estimate" I was never actually given was $145, which would've been reasonable for the scope of the work. However, while the car was there about 2.5 hours, I was charged for 3.8 hours of labor (I was double dipped obviously since Daniel is listed for both labor hours), which I'd call out Daniel wasn't actively working on the car the entire time (the car was sitting outside, and so were we). He also took it for a 30 min test drive around lunch- you can probably figure out what happened there. As soon as he would've drove it off the lot, you wouldn't need to get far to tell you the spark plugs wasn't the culprit. Also, we got charged for $36 worth of "shop supplies"- not sure what was "supplied" other than simply swapping spark plugs, which were sold to us way over retail price ($20 each). Lastly, looking at the invoice, on the back it states you wouldn't be charged more than 10% / $25 of the repair estimate unless determined additional repairs were necessarily. This tells me something went seriously wrong and there was a clear lack of communication. We had even brought in some doughnuts for the guys.. we felt completely taken advantage of. If we had been transparently quoted $680 up front, we would've certainly gone somewhere else. Worth mentioning, I emailed the owner going over the issues and discrepancies, and after a week, never got a reply. Not surprised! Also an update- we took it into the dealer, and they said Alpine misdiagnosed the issue. Instead of being a bad rocker arm ($2,100), it was a bad coil pack ($18). Seriously glad we got a second opinion, and I would strongly suggest going elsewhere to a more honest and reputable mechanic!
