Exceptional Service & Truly Trustworthy Team at Big O Tires!…read more I can't say enough great things about Big O Tires. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with professionalism, honesty, and genuine care for both my car and my time. The entire team goes above and beyond to make sure everything is clearly explained, fairly priced, and done right the first time. A special shout-out to Mark, the manager, who sets the tone for outstanding customer service. Mark is knowledgeable, patient, and truly takes pride in making sure every customer feels taken care of. You can tell he runs a tight, well-organized shop with integrity and heart. Whether it's routine maintenance, tire replacements, or unexpected car issues, Big O Tires consistently delivers fast, reliable, high-quality work. It's rare to find an auto shop you can genuinely trust but this is one of them. If you're looking for honest service, great communication, and a team that treats your car like their own, I highly recommend Big O Tires. They've earned a loyal customer for life!

After I picked up my truck and continued on my way, I noticed that my truck started sounding and feeling worse and worse. When I returned to New Orleans, I had my mechanic inspect the front suspension. THE BOLTS HAD NEVER BEEN TIGHTENED after they had performed the work. Not only could I have been killed by this negligence, but now I have extra damage to my struts that will require replacement. I feel incredibly lucky it wasn't worse, and that me and my dog made it home safely!!! Not only will I NEVER trust them again, but I HIGHLY URGE everyone to avoid this shop.

I got tires replaced a year ago and went in a few weeks back to get a slow leak fixed. Not only did they do so gratis, they also suggested to me I should get the tires rotated which they also did for free. And to top things off, I went in a few weeks earlier with a different request and they told me they weren't the best people to provide that particular service and suggested another place in the valley I should go. THAT doesn't happen too often.

In the time since I owned the car, (purchased new in 2013), the engine light had never activated. I contacted the Shop and returned the following day. They hooked up a diagnostic and found an Idle Error - the engine was idling faster than expected. They took it for a test drive, didn't think anything was wrong and turned off the light. In the following week, the engine light came on and off several times. The car was not running well - high idle rpms and vacuum hesitation. I once again brought it back and spoke with the manager (Diego). He "googled" the issue and said it was probably a clogged idle valve or needed a computer reset. I had also googled the issue and found that the computer reset was required after a tune-up. The manager offered to put in a new idle valve, ($375.00) and "try" to reset the computer. The fact that he didn't seem to know what or how to correct the problem did not give me confidence. I declined his offer and took the vehicle to Phil Long for service. They immediately diagnosed the issue as a clogged carburetor and failure to reset the computer. They resolved the issues, ($400), and the car returned to running great. I thought this was the end of my experience with High Tone, but I was wrong. I purchased a set of new tires at Discount Tire today. The technician came out and asked if anyone had rotated or changed tires in the past few months. I replied that High Tone did the seasonal switch in June. He then informed me that there were 2 stripped Lugs and a broken post on the passenger Rear Wheel and that he could not mount that tire. He sent me to Grease Monky to have that repaired. After another $150, the tire was mounted and I was done. The entire experience at High Tone was terrible - Poor Customer Service, inept management and a general complacency for doing things properly. I will never return to High Tone and, if asked, will never recommend their business. No Stars

But from the moment I contacted SimplyEuro in Glenwood Springs, I knew we were in good hands. Kate and Julia kept me informed every step of the way and made sure I never felt out of the loop. Cody, the mechanic, was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. Even when we ran into countless issues with tow companies, the staff stayed patient and accommodating. I was a nervous wreck, but they helped ease my stress with their compassion and professionalism. While we waited, we stayed at the Hotel Maxwell Anderson, which was wonderful--and the coffee shop inside the hotel was amazing! Glenwood Springs itself is a beautiful town, and despite the chaos, we found comfort in the people and the place. I can't recommend SimplyEuro enough. The entire team was incredible. I came in as a customer, but left feeling like a friend.

I brought my warranty vehicle in for an oil change and "one hour" of diagnostics after a CEL popped up. A week later, I was told they needed $1,500 of "exploratory work" just to figure out if parts were parts and they did in fact, need to be replaced... I asked for the techs notes... I do not think their email works...... but their billing links sure do! I left with: - A $500 bill - A tow to another shop - A cracked windshield that magically appeared while it was in their care The only thing they diagnosed with confidence was my decision to reconsider visiting again. If you're thinking of leaving your car overnight... don't worry, I already tested that theory for you.

Mr. transmission, who did a free scan for me, and sent me their way from next door. Nick at the front desk said he could fit me in, which I greatly appreciated so we could potentially get home the same day. I thought we were in good hands considering they worked me in same day. Sadly that's where it went downhill. He didn't give me any sort of initial quote or disclaim there would be a "diagnostic labor charge". Since the guy next door did it no charge, I assumed it was the same with Alpine since this wasn't discussed. Additionally, he did say we probably needed to change the spark plugs, which I assumed wouldn't be too bad- you can get iridium NGK's for around $35 / 6, plus a little labor for the install. Daniel swapped a coil pack to rule that out as the potential issue, and said its most likely rocker arm- a 10 hour job - obviously we couldn't get that done but we'd be ok to drive home and get that fixed when we had more time. When we got the bill, we were horrified that it was nearly $700 for 6 spark plugs plus labor. Once I took a closer look at the bill at home, I noticed some shady and dishonest practices. The initial "estimate" I was never actually given was $145, which would've been reasonable for the scope of the work. However, while the car was there about 2.5 hours, I was charged for 3.8 hours of labor (I was double dipped obviously since Daniel is listed for both labor hours), which I'd call out Daniel wasn't actively working on the car the entire time (the car was sitting outside, and so were we). He also took it for a 30 min test drive around lunch- you can probably figure out what happened there. As soon as he would've drove it off the lot, you wouldn't need to get far to tell you the spark plugs wasn't the culprit. Also, we got charged for $36 worth of "shop supplies"- not sure what was "supplied" other than simply swapping spark plugs, which were sold to us way over retail price ($20 each). Lastly, looking at the invoice, on the back it states you wouldn't be charged more than 10% / $25 of the repair estimate unless determined additional repairs were necessarily. This tells me something went seriously wrong and there was a clear lack of communication. We had even brought in some doughnuts for the guys.. we felt completely taken advantage of. If we had been transparently quoted $680 up front, we would've certainly gone somewhere else. Worth mentioning, I emailed the owner going over the issues and discrepancies, and after a week, never got a reply. Not surprised! Also an update- we took it into the dealer, and they said Alpine misdiagnosed the issue. Instead of being a bad rocker arm ($2,100), it was a bad coil pack ($18). Seriously glad we got a second opinion, and I would strongly suggest going elsewhere to a more honest and reputable mechanic!
