I wish there was a better outcome. Unfortunately, my property was hit my the hurricane that ripped through Clarksville in December, 2023. With almost $100k in repairs, I did my best to work with the assigned PM. As an out of state owner, I had to rely on the word of the PM regarding work that was being completed. When I visited the property following all repairs, I learned that work we had agreed upon had not been completed in a quality manner. The paint was TERRIBLE! We had worked so hard to receive approval from insurance on a 2nd coat and the PM told me the amount could cover the wainscoting and trim of the entry way, kitchen, and living room as well. Unfortunately, they did not paint the second coat throughout the house and the trims are splattered with wall paint. The work is sloppy and haphazard. There has been no offer of assistance to make it right... and of course, they want full payment. So I will pay it, but we will not be using MidSouth again. I believe the PM turned out to be untrustworthy, interestingly he's no longer with the company, and management refuses to stand behind the work that was promised. I am beyond disappointed to have $100k of work be absolutely thwarted over their cheating the last small mile. **Adding some additional context here - not exactly sure who Austin is or why he's commenting on my review. This is the first I've seen or heard his name and he certainly made no effort to connect with me to understand the circumstances. The half-truths in his statement coupled with his implication that I would be trying to get something for nothing is demonstration of his lack of interest in seeking to understand the circumstances with any intent to resolve it. He fails to mention they have been paid in full. I too wish him well and will look forward to partnering with a more reputable firm in the future should a need arise. read more

We lost many shingles during a storm and called MidSouth. William Richie was a pleasure to work with from the start. We received prompt and courteous service. All of our questions were answered accurately and communication and responses were very timely. The service during the installation was super. Everything took place right on schedule. Just IMMEDIATELY choose anyone else! The receptionist was nice but the person in charge is very rude and inattentive! Left boards lying in our front yard and it took WEEKS of calling to get them to come out and finish what they didn't do. After hiring someone to have boards removed from our yard, they finally decided to come out and finish the job because a removal fee would be given to the person we hired which would be deducted from what we owed them. I wouldn't recommend this place if my life depended on it!!!!!!!! Person in charge was Rusty but he sent his son out in the beginning. Don't do business with any of them!!!!! read more

Work was sub par. They took the 13000.00 from my insurance company and I have roof leaks within two years in the same spot I wanted repaired when originally called them and they claimed hail damage and got my insurance company involved. Then I called them back and finally the original sales guy Jason shows up. I was going to PAY them again thinking I will work with them to get resolution. Never called back or got back with us. I realize in Nashville it's tough to find a good contractor because they are all booked. But I would avoid this place. They just take big insurance checks do quick half assed work and run with the profit. They Scratched my skylight glass and busted up my ceilings dry wall from slamming the shingle bundles all over my roof. I'm a licensed inspector with 15+ years contracting experience. I know exactly what they did and they left me with more damage at the end of the day than I started with. read more

Needed some roof tiles replaced after a storm and 3 roofing companies refused to even come look at it, didn't want to fool with my insurance on a "small" job I guess. Going through Google lists and called MidSouth. Within an hour Claude was at my house getting all the details. He fought for me to get the roof replaced instead of just repaired and was on it 24/7 whenever I had a question or concern. My insurance drug it out for months but he hung in there and went to bat for me. Roof was finally installed today and I am thrilled! Claude was awesome and I would gladly recommend him. read more

First off, I'll start by saying I am so impressed with TJ and this construction and contracting company. I have a condo on the 2nd floor of a complex and the unit below me told me that I have a leak that went down into their unit and somewhat ruined part of their place. I was so on edge after hearing this and in the middle of a busy work day. I let my Insurance guy know and he contacted TJ. Within the hour (maybe even 30 minutes), they went to my condo to take a look. Not only was he so on top of it, he sent me pictures showing me that the water wasn't coming from my unit and it wasn't my responsibility. Best. news. ever. He could of easily said it was coming from mine to make an extra buck off me (which contractors have done before), but he was so honest, so friendly and so helpful. I have dealt with many contractors and he was by far the best and I can't wait to work with him more in the future as he is a good person and great at what he does. I give Mid South Construction one star, for showing up! I had a roof leak, and wanted to get a quote to have it fixed. Mid South's representative showed-up, got up on the roof to look at the leak, but focused more on the so-called HAIL DAMAGE that he was trying to fabricate. I had a second contractor look at the possible hail damage, and there was NONE. What I was told, was the soft metal (down spouts, gutters, etc.) on and around the roof, usually will show the first signs of damage from hail. None of that was evident by me, nor the second contractor, or my insurance company's inspector. Besides being dishonest, with trying to create something that just didn't exist, he wasted a whole bunch of my time, as I believed him, and I actually submitted a claim to my insurance. Lastly, there was no follow-up phone calls, or any contact once he left, which confirms to me, that the hail damage was a hoax. I suppose the Mid South representative checked his box to stay employed. I will never contact this company for work again, and will not recommend them either. I would rate them as dishonest. read more

MidSouth Construction is great! I filled out a request for an inspection online and they got back to me within the hour. They came out to inspect my roof for hail damage the next day. The best thing about MidSouth is their honesty. They told me that the roof did not need replacement. I'm sure other roofing companies would have said that the roof needed replaced just to make a sale, but MidSouth was honest and I'm sure that will create more sales for them in the long run. I'm definitely going to recommend them to my family/friends in the area! read more

Worst experience ever!!! Taylor came to my house to put on a new roof on and redo drywall in my living area and garage due to a bad roofing company before. I explained to him that the old roofer took out existing vents over my living area and told me that I didn't need them. After this was done my house started sweating due to improper ventilation. I explained to Taylor how the old roofer was to cheap and was trying to cut cost and this is why I needed my roof replaced. We agreed on Mid South to do the work they made me pay 1/2 of the money owed down which I agreed to do. Roofing started they replaced the roof EXACTLY like I told them not to do without vents!!! This house is empty and I was trying to sale this house, so with no one to supervise this is what I got! They tore out the old water damaged drywall and left all the old moldy drywall, insulation and other trash inside my house on the floor for 2 weeks. After several conversations with Taylor about putting in those vents that were supposed to be replaced he now is blaming it on my chimney and oh by the way now the price just went up!!! I now have a roof that is still sweating, NO DRYWALL on the ceiling in my living room. Unfinished drywall in my garage trash and all the old drywall in my garage all over the floor, NO LIGHTS and now my garage door won't open because they tore up my brackets and my door opener! I've since hired a new contractor and had a home inspection to find out they only tore off part of the roof around the edges and left all the old roof and just laid new roof over the top of the TERRIBLE roof I already had!! Now roof will not even pass a home inspection!! I had to pay a garage door company 1000.00 to repair my garage door. I am now currently filing a lawsuit against this company because ALL of the roof needs to be replaced!! Wouldn't ever trust this company for anything not even to take out the trash! read more

I don't usually leave a lot of reviews. Sorry to say I just don't take the time but I felt like I had to for MidSouth Construction. This has to be the nicest group of people I have ever dealt with. I take care of my mother so when it was time to replace her roof I was worried about finding the right people to do it. MidSouth Construction was the company we selected to replace my mothers roof. Everyone was so polite, very professional and took the time to explain every step that would be taken to replace her roof. MidSouth contacted the insurance company and took care of that as well....one less thing to worry about. Mr Burton supervised the whole job and even cleaned out her gutters. Removed all of the old roof and trash. The job was started when he said it would be and finished on time. He even stopped by a few months later to make sure she was happy with the job. My mother and I were so impressed with that follow up. I mean really, what company does that anymore? read more
