On any given day there is an array of strollers and bouncers, play pens and toys lining the sidewalk leading to a treasure chest of lightly worn and loved pre-owned childrens ware. There is always a great deal, and April the owner will be the first one to point them out. She keeps the store well stocked with all the cutest clothing, accessories, and toys, and a variety of furniture. She told me in passing "Once you shop consignment, you'll never shop retail again" and she was correct.

The plethora of high quality (several still with their original tags) children's clothes, shoes, and toys is spectacular. You will not find prices cheaper than these. She keeps the place very organized and has sales on top of her already well-priced items. Each time I visit, perhaps once a month to get clothes for my 3.5 year old and more so for my now 1 year old, I find I leave with way more than I anticipated! $40 will get me sometimes 10 items! I especially love that she has a $2 off coupon on her receipt to be used within a few weeks I believe. The owner, Nathalie, is so warm and kind. She has an adorable kitten (Miley?) that keeps her company at the shop. I've enjoyed exchanging stories with her. What a wonderful community she has cultivated too! (Didn't realize I had already written a review on this place 2 months ago. Guess it just goes to show how much I love this place!)

But, back to the beads - Karen came over and she was just incredible. She clearly knows her Trollbeads and a total newbie like me learned so much from her probably less than an hour, it was amazing. Yayyyyyy I finally made it over to Existential Thread to pick up my "Providence is for Lovers"…read moreshirt that I ordered ages ago - shout out to Desire, Cadillac, Fantasies, Wonderland, & Foxy. Of course had to shop around while I was there. I immediately spotted a swanky Italian leather jacket, smoother than butter, for only $60. I don't NEED another leather jacket, so I moved on. Then I found a soft, short gingham dress for only $20. The owner? told me I could try it on - so try it on I did & take it off I never did. I liked it so much, I just paid for it & walked out still wearing it. I'm a big fan! I also scooped up a rad red/clear belt & had a great chat with the owner while I was perusing. The owner told me that they'll be hosting more flea market style events outside this summer. I will most certainly be there. The owner also said that they get big hauls of new clothes basically weekly, so there's always something new to be found. I love to see lil businesses pop up in the residential areas of the West End like this. It brings even more life to this lively neighborhood. Big fan.
