Our belongings packed to ceiling of truck in haphazard manner with no regard for fragile items.

We had an awful experience with our cross-country move with this company. They basically subcontract the move to over the road truck drivers and pay them by the mile. The truck drivers then call whatever buddies are available locally to help them load/unload. At no time are you working with professional movers. When you do actually get in touch with a Midland employee, they tell you whatever you want to hear, but none of the information is accurate. I called Midland every day for 10 days after our things were supposed to be delivered. I never once received a call back or an update on where our things were or when they would arrive. When the semi did finally arrive two weeks after the date we were told it would arrive, our belongings looked like they had been DRAGGED cross country. All of our furniture (including heirloom items) was very banged up. When we looked inside the truck, fragile items were loaded on the bottom and crushed by heavy items packed to the ceiling. It did not matter if boxes were marked fragile. Midland was also supposed to transport our car. The trailer did not show up by the time we needed to start driving cross country to our new home. We followed up incessantly to find out when the car would be picked up. After two weeks, the transport company that Midland sourced the job to said they still didn't have any drivers unless we wanted to pay significantly more. We ended up having to hire a different transport company directly and we had to forgo the deposit and incur additional expense to rent a car for weeks because Midland outsourced this transport to a shady transport company that did not have committed drivers. I WOULD AVOID MIDLAND AT ANY COST. A one star rating is more than this company deserves.

Smashed boxes. Home Depot brand.

Quoted $3400. When arrived to pack, asked for $8000 more. Then took over 4 weeks to receive items and at that point was told to give $3044 in cash to have items removed from truck. Would not recommend this company at all.

My items were already boxed up.

Do not use them. The quotes you receive are not true. They will cheat you out of more money by holding your furniture ransom.

There's new management/leadership now compared to a majority of the negative reviews from years ago -- Lee and Tyler have been great to work with. A example of the personalized customer service, a couple months ago my credit card expired (and I got a new one), and I forgot to update my payment info for my StorQuest payments. Lee communicated the issue to me in a very friendly way more to give me a heads up vs. just start charging late fees like most places would do. If you need a secure place for storage and want to work with a great management team, I highly recommend this facility. Thanks for all your help Lee and Tyler! And I'm sorry to include this (sincerely not trying to be rude to another reviewer) but your personal renter's insurance covers things like storage units flooding -- not the facility that you rent from. So if you have "X" dollars worth of belongings in storage you should include that in your renter's insurance.
