Although, it was easy to make a reservation and there were a lot of time slots to choose from. This included seeing the animals (goats, pigs and bunnies), walking in the flower fields (a sunflower field and colorful flowers), the playground and taking photos. The playground really was not much and I think older kids would've gotten bored easily. For an extra fee, there is a corn pit to play in, a wagon ride and a train ride for kids. We did not do these. There wasn't a ton of places for photo ops, but there were some. They have a shop with goods for sale as well as some snacks and drinks like apple cider, slushies, apple cider donuts, alcohol, etc. We went the weekend after Halloween, so there weren't many pumpkins to see/choose from, but if we went earlier in the season I'm guessing there would have been. On the opposite side of the property, there was a Thai restaurant and a shop that served ice cream and alcohol. There were plenty of picnic tables and even a couple TV's showing football. This was a bit of a walk to get to, though. They also have pizza which you have to order ahead of time with your reservation if interested, but I've heard great things about the pizza. Keep in mind it is only porta johns, like many pumpkin patches. All in all, not my favorite pumpkin patch in the area, I questioned why we needed a reservation and to pay, it really didn't include much, but I'm wondering if we would've had a different experience if we went earlier in the season.

They had fields of berries, greens, honey from their hives and a selection of beautiful wildflowers. When I arrived there was a good number of moms with kids roaming the fields while pushing strollers and wagons. When I checked in they supplied me with a bucket for berries and told me which fields were open for picking. The flowers are per stem or fill a cup for $20. I filled my bucket which took about 30 minutes roaming 2 fields. The cost was a lot more than I would spend at the grocery store but now often do you get to make homemade strawberry preserves with berries you picked yourself?

I didn't end up signing up for a CSA but I did start making regular trips to the farm to pick up produce. Their produce is always fresh and delicious. My favorite is their peaches but they have fantastic heirloom tomatoes, corn, etc as well. Everyone is very nice, there is plenty of parking, easy access off I-85 and you get to love on their sweet pups.

We picked our pumpkins for the season and considering the amount of people here, there were still many great looking pumpkins. I have purchased strawberries from the Harrisburg stand but I had never been to the actual farm until today. I've been missing the Harrisburg stand all season long. But as I was on my way back from Raleigh today on 49, as if by magic, I saw the Cody Strawberry Farm sign. I was so excited and I immediately turned and went to the farm. I got about halfway down the road I thought to myself, "They probably don't take cards." And I quickly dismissed the thought and said "Everybody takes plastic now." Sure enough, when I got to the stand and ordered my berries and slushy, I pulled out my plastic only to be told that they only take cash or checks. Determined to get my goodies, I decided to head to the nearest ATM back in Richfield. The nice lady at the stand let me take the slushy anyway. I assured her I would be back to pay for it all. After about 10 minutes, I returned for my berries. She was kind enough to still comp the slushy since I went out of my way to go get the cash. That's great customer service! The slushy was absolutely delicious and the berries are too. So glad I finally caught them. Can't wait to come back! This is a great field trip for the kids. Just be sure to bring cash.

There is a big parking lot- but be careful, the driveway to get in is really narrow and only one car fits through at a time. There is no admission fee and it is free to walk around. You also don't need reservations. There is cornhole, picnic tables to sit at, a gift shop with local good slike honey and apples, a coffee truck, a lemonade truck and popcorn for sale. There are pumpkins everywhere of different shapes and sizes available for purchase in addition to gourds and mums. We bought a mum and it was $15. There are plenty of photo opportunities and a garden to walk around in. There is also a lot of space for kids to run around in. For an additional fee, there is a wagon ride you can take that will take you to see farm animals but we didn't do this. All in all, not as many activities in my opinion as some of the other pumpkin patches around town, but I did like how close it is to town compared to some of the other pumpkin patch options and it was super cute!
