Barn display of farm members

I've never been to an alpaca ranch so I didn't know what to expect. Our tour started at 1 and we got there early so I checked out the ranch store (full of darling items made of alpaca fiber such as colorful hats, gloves, ornaments, and toys); swung on the store's front porch swing; and took some photos. The fairly quick tour included info on alpacas' past and a walk through the barn. We were soon in the alpaca pen with a bag of alpaca food. The alpacas crowded around, full of interest in the food. It was magical to feed and pet these beautiful and incredibly soft animals. There are only four million alpacas in the world and we're lucky to have this wonderful farm so close to Charlotte.

Took my friend who was visiting to this cute little ranch not too far from the main Charlotte area. We really had a fantastic time and got up really close with the alpacas for a good 1 hour. We got to pet them and the owners explained the habits and lifestyle of the alpacas. They also answered a lot of questions about them if asked. It was really pleasant and the entire thing was held outdoors. We got a ton of picture taking opportunities and even took selfies with these beautiful creatures which was really fun. Do be prepared- dress casually and don't wear your favorite boots as the place will be muddy and there will be poop pebbles everywhere- I mean it's a ranch so it's expected. Right now it's $10 per person and tickets are bought online. There was a small confusion about the ticket being shipped but they go by names once you get there. There is also a cute little gift shop if you want souvenirs and other trinkets. This place is as much for kids as it is for adults who loves animals- especially alpacas!

Inexpensive, family friendly, informative, and fun for everyone! Recently took some friends who were visiting me in the Charlotte area and had a wonderful time. The tour includes time in the enclosure feeding the Alpacas. Feed is provided and there is ample opportunity for pictures.

I was invited to Blackberry Ridge Farm for a luncheon and a wreath making event. The farm is really…read morehard to see from the road but after driving down a quiet path I noticed all the possibilities Blue Ridge farm had. There's lots of land, two protected flower tends and a beautiful room inside, which can host a small intimate but beautiful event. The inside space is clean and well-maintained and even the bathrooms are comfy and cozy. One of the owners Julia accompanied by her assistant Kendell showed me around and told me all about blackberry Ridge Farm. Blackberry Ridge Farm is a CBD and hemp farm where they harvest these herbs to make natural products as well as a cut flower farm. Speaking of cut flowers, while I was there, I saw customers picking up the most beautiful cut flower arrangements. They also have a large selection of dried flowers which we intern used to create beautiful, decorative heart-shaped wreaths. If you are looking for a small, intimate place to host a gathering or a place to do a hands-on, creative event with your friends, family or coworkers give blackberry Ridge Farms a call they've got you covered.

They provide you with clippers and a bucket and you create your florals. $15 for a half bucket and $30 for full. The farm does seasonal events as well so be sure to check them out on social media! Their collection of CBD and hemp products is impressive (see photos for a small example). You won't regret checking out this local farm in any season. Thanks, Blackberry Ridge, for a fun Friday! We'll be back for sure!

The ideal fall outing! We went on a warm Saturday afternoon in late September, and were pleased to…read moresee that it wasn't crowded at all. Lots of parking, no lines for food, and plenty of room to roam in the pumpkin patch. We grabbed a wagon and some clippers and found a pumpkin to cut off the vine. There are plenty of pre-cut pumpkins too if you'd rather just pick one that way (and take some cute pics). The wood-fired pizza was SO good and fairly priced. We really enjoyed the salsiccia pie, but all of them sounded delicious. And had to get a half dozen cider donuts for the road, obviously. I'm looking forward to returning when our kids are a bit older to try more of the family-friendly activities!

I absolutely love this set up even more than the last location! There is so much for kids to do here and lots for adults too. We picked our pumpkins for the season and considering the amount of people here, there were still many great looking pumpkins. The lines were too long for the donuts/food so I didn't get to try any but I am hoping to eventually try the cider donut in the future! Definitely bring your friends and family here to check out the Hall Family Farm. Side note- I know the Halls from many years ago and they are a wonderful family! If you see them around be sure to meet them!!!
