Shame on you Lazy 5....you break the law every time you turn someone with a service animal away. A…read morecomplaint will be filed with the ADA on behalf of my daughter and her Autism service dog. I even offered to sit in the car the entire time (with the dog) so my 2 daughters could go on the ride through experience. Just so you are aware, here is what the law says... A zoo cannot deny you entry just because you have a service dog. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), zoos are public accommodations and must allow service dogs anywhere the general public is allowed -- with only a few narrow exceptions. --- What the ADA actually says * Zoos must admit service dogs in all public areas. US Service A... * They may only restrict a service dog from specific zones where the dog's presence would disturb or endanger the animals, such as:* Petting zoos * Walk‑through exhibits * Predator/prey enclosures * Back‑of‑house areas These restrictions must be based on real safety concerns, not fear or assumptions. The Seeing Eye * Even when an area is restricted, the zoo must provide an alternate route so you can still enjoy the exhibit. US Service A... * A zoo cannot ban service dogs from the entire facility. US Service A... --- When a zoo can deny access Only two situations allow a zoo to exclude a service dog from a specific area: * The dog is out of control (e.g., barking, lunging, not under handler control). * The dog is not housebroken. These are the only ADA‑approved reasons for exclusion from public areas. tukilost.com --- What staff are allowed to ask Legally, zoo employees may ask only: 1. "Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability?" 2. "What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?" They cannot ask for paperwork, certification, or proof. Lazy 5 Ranch is not exempt from ADA service‑animal laws -- but they are allowed to restrict service dogs from certain areas because of the unique nature of their facility. Here's the full breakdown, grounded in ADA rules and how they apply to walk‑through or drive‑through animal parks. --- ADA rules for places like Lazy 5 Ranch Under the ADA, all public accommodations must allow service dogs. Zoos, aquariums, and wildlife parks fall under this category.

It was a very different kind of experience as I have never been through a drive through animal park where you can feed the animals. I enjoyed it greatly! So much fun and everyone that works there was awesome, friendly, informative!

We called that morning and were able to visit at 2:00 PM. They welcomed us and gave us a complete and very informative tour of the farm. We got to meet the alpacas by name and visit the 11-month-old and 4-month-old alpacas with their mothers. We even had the chance to feed and walk with one of them. A huge thank you to the wonderful couple who owns this property for your kindness, patience, and understanding, especially with part of my family who did not speak English, allowing us time to translate. Your property is beautiful, and the alpacas are clearly loved and well taken care of. We will definitely visit again next time we are in this part of the country!

There's lots of land, two protected flower tends and a beautiful room inside, which can host a small intimate but beautiful event. The inside space is clean and well-maintained and even the bathrooms are comfy and cozy. One of the owners Julia accompanied by her assistant Kendell showed me around and told me all about blackberry Ridge Farm. Blackberry Ridge Farm is a CBD and hemp farm where they harvest these herbs to make natural products as well as a cut flower farm. Speaking of cut flowers, while I was there, I saw customers picking up the most beautiful cut flower arrangements. They also have a large selection of dried flowers which we intern used to create beautiful, decorative heart-shaped wreaths. If you are looking for a small, intimate place to host a gathering or a place to do a hands-on, creative event with your friends, family or coworkers give blackberry Ridge Farms a call they've got you covered.

Several of the enclosures seemed much too small, the facility was run down, and the entire place felt neglected. We also saw very little visible staff presence actually checking on or caring for the animals. Walking through the facility, it was hard to ignore the condition of the enclosures and the overall lack of upkeep. I understand that no facility is going to be perfect, but when you are responsible for the care of animals, there should be a much higher standard. What we personally saw was concerning enough that we would never return or recommend this place to anyone. We left feeling terrible for the animals and regretting that our admission money went toward supporting this facility. In my opinion, the conditions we witnessed deserve serious scrutiny from the appropriate animal welfare authorities. This place needs major improvements.

Although, it was easy to make a reservation and there were a lot of time slots to choose from. This included seeing the animals (goats, pigs and bunnies), walking in the flower fields (a sunflower field and colorful flowers), the playground and taking photos. The playground really was not much and I think older kids would've gotten bored easily. For an extra fee, there is a corn pit to play in, a wagon ride and a train ride for kids. We did not do these. There wasn't a ton of places for photo ops, but there were some. They have a shop with goods for sale as well as some snacks and drinks like apple cider, slushies, apple cider donuts, alcohol, etc. We went the weekend after Halloween, so there weren't many pumpkins to see/choose from, but if we went earlier in the season I'm guessing there would have been. On the opposite side of the property, there was a Thai restaurant and a shop that served ice cream and alcohol. There were plenty of picnic tables and even a couple TV's showing football. This was a bit of a walk to get to, though. They also have pizza which you have to order ahead of time with your reservation if interested, but I've heard great things about the pizza. Keep in mind it is only porta johns, like many pumpkin patches. All in all, not my favorite pumpkin patch in the area, I questioned why we needed a reservation and to pay, it really didn't include much, but I'm wondering if we would've had a different experience if we went earlier in the season.
