Really enjoyed this space. The coffee, drinks and decor are thoughtfully made, and the roaster is behind a floor to ceiling glass enclosure so you can watch the magic being made. It's an oasis in the middle of one of the most industrial areas of Denver. I felt only mildly uncomfortable as one of the employees, when I stood to walk to the bathroom, before I had even spoken or made eye contact to her, barked loudly at me: "WIFI! On the wall! By the ladder!" It made me feel as if I had somehow done something wrong. I turned on my heel and sat back down. Everyone has a bad day tho, and I will be back to enjoy the coffee. read more

So glad i finally had the chance to try out middle state coffee. Absolutely love the location! I asked the barista to surprise me with a latte. When she told me it was a Rosemary latte, i was hesitant to try it. I'm not a Rosemary fan, i am so glad i did because it was absolutely delicious! Def would order it again. Excellent coffee! I stopped in for a latte on my day off. This place is tiny, but cute! Only a few tables to sit at, and 1 barista at the counter, but the vibe is still there. Plants everywhere, modern wallpaper on the walls, and cool music; all set the scene. The coffee was delicious - my latte was well-made just like you'd expect. I've also tried some of their beans - you can buy them at most local specialty grocery stores. All around good experience - definitely try this place out! read more

I have been a big fan of Middle State coffee sold at various spots around Denver, so I was stoked to find out that they had opened a cafe. The cafe is at their roasting facility, giving it a unique industrial vibe. Upon entering, you're greeted with lots of plants and the friendliest staff. The baristas make an effort to know you which is important to me. My go-to is a batch brew coffee which is always great, but I also can attest that the almond croissants are some of the best I have ever had. I haven't had anything that I haven't loved; from drip coffee to cortados. I would recommend this shop to anyone who cares about coffee and aesthetic. read more

Very cool environment! I cannot believe I didn't know about this place sooner. Tucked aside on Sante Fe, MiddleState is an artsy coffee shop harboring not only great coffee, but a really cool ambience and a host of beautiful plants(!). Happy that this little cafe is mask enforcing. They also put in their due effort to make sure guests are distancing and not rummaging through merchandise unnecessarily. Something off the menu that I rather enjoyed was the Espresso Tonic! Already a fan of coffee soda's but the tonic felt like an interesting summer touch. And it's served with a candied orange. Overall, the drink is a bit sweet but I can say it was worth the try. As for parking, all I saw was street parking but there was plenty of it east of Santa Fe. Stop by and give them a try! read more

Middle State is very high quality! I came here on the recommendation of a friend for the best coffee in Denver, and truly, this is the best. I got an oat milk latte, and I was in heaven. It wasn't convenient to come back during our trip, otherwise I would have been back every day. Next time I am in Denver, I will be back. I want to try other drinks, but man I am still dreaming of that latte. I've contemplated buying their coffee online but I know I don't have high enough quality of a brewing setup to give this coffee the justice it deserves. Also, this place is super modern and cute. There are GREAT coffee options in Denver and, frankly, I CHEAT on my crush periodically but, the combination of the coffee, the pastries/waffles and PEOPLE that work there make it...my coffee crush. The roasting profile is PERFECT for what I attempt to do at home #sproishard and I ALWAYS know that I'm going to get good, tasty results no matter the brew method. If Middle State had $100 to invest in its priorities, $97 was spent on its coffee bean and roasting process; $1 on its location; and $2 on its decor. Simply put, they roast the BEST COFFEE in Denver but you're not likely to accidentally walk by the storefront. Parking is limited and inside is a bit claustrophobic. BUT, I will still drive across town (since I moved further away) to buy my beans. If you ask me, they invested in a business model I will religiously support. It's all about the beans. read more

Vibe: pretty chill spot indoors, with multiple seats but hard to find charging when I was around. I think they had just renovated or opened. There is a cool open area where you can see their roastery and them processing their coffee beans. Staff was cool and helpful with my selection of coffee and gave me free stickers since they just opened/didnt have everything on the menu. Awesome place! We stopped in for a pick-me-up on the road back to Illinois. I tried their seasonal pumpkin latte and my partner got an espresso shot. Great coffee and the baristas were super nice. I've tried a few coffee shops in Denver and this was my favorite overall experience. The interior is clean and minimal. The store is in an industrial area south of downtown, but it's one of the stores that has an unmatchable vibe too it. Well lit store with plants and art around with historic coffee ornaments tok, and the staff were so friendly. Middle state coffee is my new favorite coffee shop in Denver. It's not over-crowded. The aesthetics are nice and set up to have a perfect photograph in any corner. There's plenty of street parking available. It's located close to several venues and restaurants for you to enjoy your afternoon in the area. They have all the espresso drinks you could want and take their time to make sure the coffee is great. The baristas are always super friendly and will often times bring your drink to you!
