She scrubbed, rubbed, massaged, scratched per my request and washed my locs 3 SEPARATE times with an amazing lathering shampoo... Next was this minty conditioner distributed throughout my locs and I was placed under the hair steamer which I call Hair Hookah... Baby, this gave me life! Absolutely loved it until she had to rinse out the conditioner. Let me say I don't do cold anything and the rinsing of conditioner after the hair has been steamed is just what you're gonna get a chilled rinse. This was not my favorite part. Unfortunately what I walked out of the salon was far from what we had discussed and FAR from the color swatches we chose & 0 ashy tone. after she initially put my color on and washed me & began dryong me I could tell something was wrong. She kept making remarks about how she wasn't sure why the color/toner didn't grab and why it wasn't the color we agreed on. She also continued to ask me if I liked the root color brown - I didn't mind it, but it definitely wasn't the deeper brown that we agreed on. She then stated she could try to lighten some of my areas up and reapply the toner and see if it would grab on lighter pieces better. I specifically stated I didn't want large streaks I'd rather it look more melted/blended in if we did lighten bc I don't want thar feel, i wanted a bayalage feel. So I trusted her and she began highlighting areas of my hair. Mind you there's no color melting and I'm being foiled. She rinses me out and begins drying me and immediately it's a nightmare. Worse than before. I have a HUGE white streak that is not symmetrically placed at the front of my face - I love a money piece, but this is an out of place wide white streak. My hair is also noticeably damaged from this in this area as well. She states she feels bad and she can't allow me to pay her for her services because she knew the color was not what I wanted. I asked her to let me pay her for the cut and the eyebrow waxing. My total was 57.00 and I still left her a 26.00. She continued to state that she wasn't sure what happened. She was going to talk to "someone" and would definitely be reaching out to me, I told her I appreciated that and her time and we would get it figured out. It had been 2 entire days and I've heard nothing from her or anyone else at the salon for that matter. I am now upset because I was hoping she'd at least try to make her errors right. Feels very shady & honestly very unprofessional... she knew I was disappointed in what I walked out with 4.5 hours later. She is a sweet girl, but inexperienced and I would highly advise against using her for your service - pics of inspo vs what I got attached.

The Salon was clean and both Amanda and Sunshine were kind and welcoming. The salon is taking temperatures and fill out a questionnaire due to covid-19. It made me feel safe, as they were doing what they could to protect themselves as staff and their clients too. My experience was great- the shampoo, cut and blow dry was excellent. I felt like Amanda cared about me as a client by walking through my inspiration photo with me and explaining the details of the style and how it would translate best in my hair. By doing this she helped me achieve the look and feel I wanted. I will definitely be back again! Based on my experience today, I recommend this salon!

Mercer charged me 50% of the service fee without even knowing the exact service I was having. This is not only outrageous but disrespectful. They accused me of being a "no show" which isn't the case at all. I was hoping this was going to be my "forever" salon. But I will never go to Mercer again. I only gave it one star because I couldn't go lower.
