The location is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. No issues there which was super nice. After years of having no idea what to do with my hair, having it thinned out, cut oddly, etc I am so happy to finally say it is exactly how I want it. While I still have some time to go for it to get back to 100%, I've had huge improvements. Heidi is absolutely wonderful. I felt so comfortable with her. The communication was very open even before my appointment. We discussed my hair type and I shared photos with her so she had an idea. Upon arriving, she examined my hair and told me what she thought would be the best course of action. She told me everything she was doing, as she did it and why she was doing it. The "boot camp" she offers during the first appointment was so helpful! I was able to ask questions and get very thorough answers. The products she used (and I now use at home!) are healthy for my hair. I do most of my hair prep and styling in the shower. Saves me so much time and never would've thought to do it while in there. I am very much looking forward to my next appointment. My curls are looking better every day and I will continue to properly take care of them. Highly recommend Heidi. PS: she offers drinks and snacks. As someone who gets hangry, this was very appreciated!

I was seen by Bailey Grace on Wednesday. I showed a few inspiration pictures and we discussed color…read moreswatches as well as my wanting an ashy tone and bayalage feel to my hair. Unfortunately what I walked out of the salon was far from what we had discussed and FAR from the color swatches we chose & 0 ashy tone. after she initially put my color on and washed me & began dryong me I could tell something was wrong. She kept making remarks about how she wasn't sure why the color/toner didn't grab and why it wasn't the color we agreed on. She also continued to ask me if I liked the root color brown - I didn't mind it, but it definitely wasn't the deeper brown that we agreed on. She then stated she could try to lighten some of my areas up and reapply the toner and see if it would grab on lighter pieces better. I specifically stated I didn't want large streaks I'd rather it look more melted/blended in if we did lighten bc I don't want thar feel, i wanted a bayalage feel. So I trusted her and she began highlighting areas of my hair. Mind you there's no color melting and I'm being foiled. She rinses me out and begins drying me and immediately it's a nightmare. Worse than before. I have a HUGE white streak that is not symmetrically placed at the front of my face - I love a money piece, but this is an out of place wide white streak. My hair is also noticeably damaged from this in this area as well. She states she feels bad and she can't allow me to pay her for her services because she knew the color was not what I wanted. I asked her to let me pay her for the cut and the eyebrow waxing. My total was 57.00 and I still left her a 26.00. She continued to state that she wasn't sure what happened. She was going to talk to "someone" and would definitely be reaching out to me, I told her I appreciated that and her time and we would get it figured out. It had been 2 entire days and I've heard nothing from her or anyone else at the salon for that matter. I am now upset because I was hoping she'd at least try to make her errors right. Feels very shady & honestly very unprofessional... she knew I was disappointed in what I walked out with 4.5 hours later. She is a sweet girl, but inexperienced and I would highly advise against using her for your service - pics of inspo vs what I got attached.

Hair is one of the most important visual cues we have to inaudibly announce who we are, a sort of set of nonverbal cliff notes, if those are still around. As for finding a good one, I've been through three and after a butcher job and a store closing I've found someone I entrust my furry noggin to and who never fails to go above and beyond. I decided to entrust my scalp to Mercer Hair Studio based on reviews. The store front is located in one of the most compact parking lots ever, I mean who planned this? Anyways walking in the décor is simple yet with a local art flair, demonstrating that these ladies are not only good at their craft but they're real artists at heart. This is good because of what I was there for took a certain amount of artistry not just a number 5 or a boys (men's) haircut. My stylist, whom wasn't exactly what I requested was gifted, exceptional at taking a picture and replicating in real life. Sitting in her chair the lady was caring and detail oriented except one issue, making sure every nook and cranny was addressed. She's not the fastest but above average and I believe that has more to do with my incessant jabbering and making jokes than her skill. As for the cuts, she was on the money but adding highlights or dyes she missed the task. Her dying was more like a whole platinum M&M style than highlights. I even gave her a picture so I wasn't satisfied with the amount she opted to put in my hair. I can't speak upon all the services provided here but from my experiences I'm some-what satisfied. The place is safe, but the prices are literally over twice what I was paying in Austin TX a year ago. In summary, be very diligent on the color and amount you want but be prepared to pay a lot more than other places. I don't believe their prices reflect some high level of quality, but it's far from poor.
