The communication was very open even before my appointment. We discussed my hair type and I shared photos with her so she had an idea. Upon arriving, she examined my hair and told me what she thought would be the best course of action. She told me everything she was doing, as she did it and why she was doing it. The "boot camp" she offers during the first appointment was so helpful! I was able to ask questions and get very thorough answers. The products she used (and I now use at home!) are healthy for my hair. I do most of my hair prep and styling in the shower. Saves me so much time and never would've thought to do it while in there. All of the employees that work for the salon seem to enjoy the work environment and culture, which always makes the experience pleasant for customers. I was the only customer in the salon for the majority of my cut--wouldn't have minded if it had been slammed. Amie gave me the best "wash before cut"! BEWARE! I tried out a new stylist (my worst mistake). I went to Dina at Corner Creations for a…read morecolor and cut. I will post the picture of I was wanting and the picture of what I get below- it is appalling. Instead of a brown/Carmel color, I walked away with orange/yellow hair that was not blended at all and WAY OVER BLEACHED. Dina curled my hair and mixed in my hair with her fingers before leaving the salon (I'm assuming to hide her mistakes) by the time I got home the curls had fallen and you could see the mess my hair was in. Dina stripped a ton of color from my hair and I ended up having to go to a different salon to get color re-deposited into my hair. The worst of it is, that it is unfixable. Yes, I can continue getting color deposits, but the only true fix is growing it out and chopping it off. I had to cancel engagement pictures that I had planned for that afternoon. I tried contacting Dina twice about getting a refund to help with the money I had to spend to correct what she had done. Unfortunetly Dina never got back to me and I had to call the salon to get in touch with her. At this point Dina basically told me it was my fault and the other stylist has messed my hair up (okay?) She refused to give me any sort of refund or even accept responsibility. Completely unprofessional service and extremely over priced for the quality of work. I have never received such horrible cosmetology or customer service. I seriously advise you to be cautious. You might walk away with ruined hair. Surprisingly my hair looks a lot better in these pictures than in real life.
