This is similar to chipotle but for Shawarma We were able to customize each of our bowls, but everybody pretty much got chicken or beef with the rice and all the toppings. Everything tasted really fresh. It was prepared quickly, and it was fresh. The staff was kind assisting with telling us the best way to dress our bowls, garlic, hummus, and dill sauce. A casual quick grab restaurant very clean with a small parking lot

i got takeout here, a falafel bowl. it was my first time trying their food and it's delicious! i put my order in while there and they seemed super busy but didn't make me wait long at all. the staff was very personable and nice. oh and the amount of food you get for the price u pay is amazing. i'll definitely be back!

There were so many hairs in the bowl. Short white beard hairs . Absolutely disgusting. Will not be returning. Please put a hairnet on ur beard

I wasn't phased by the 2 chicken shawarma wraps I ordered costing about $23.00. I requested extra garlic sauce & veggies, and I'm pretty sure I got charged for it. However I'd still recommend this restaurant. My food was fresh,delicious and generously portioned with the well seasoned tender grilled chicken breast. One chicken shawarma is enough for two. I'm just being greedy because it's delicious and I haven't eaten all day. Check Middle Eats out. The chicken shawarma is HUGE, and it's delicious. Restaurant staff was smiling and friendly,so I tipped 3.50 for takeout.

I ordered food from this restaurant for delivery, so I cannot speak to the customer service or ambiance. When my order arrived at my doorstep, my boyfriend and I were shocked at how large the bowls were. We were pleasantly surprised! I made a custom shawarma bowl with lettuce, onion, tomato, pickle, chicken, steak, feta cheese, and garlic sauce. All the flavors are delicious! My boyfriend got basically the same thing but with just chicken and no cheese. Everything was fresh and crisp. My boyfriend said he's had better garlic sauce but still liked it. We got their dillio sauce on the side cuz we weren't quite sure what it was. Turns out it is basically ranch with dill flavor. The regular dillio sauce was tasty! We accidentally ordered a spicy version of it and it had good flavor but was just a little too spicy for us. Overall, will absolutely order from here again and will visit inside when in the area. Very happy with our order!

I got carry out from here. One Trifecta Bowl (shrimp, chicken and steak shawarma, and one bowl with chicken and steak shawarma and the spicy sauce. Both were amazing. The food is cooked fresh and well seasoned. The steak was very tender. The sauces on the bowls were packed with flavor and the spicy sauce had a good kick without being overpowering. Veggies were fresh too. The bowls may seem a bit pricey, but the food is fresh and the portions are large. Also- I got extra garlic paste sauce and added it in which was delicious. Service was friendly. You can see the kitchen and cooks and it was very clean.

First time here and definitely won't be the last! I ordered a chicken Shawarma bowl and had garlic sauce added. The garlic sauce. I don't even know where to begin. It was incredible! I really do like garlic and this was absolutely was perfect. The chicken was extremely flavorful and well cooked. My own personal preference, but I do like protein that has a little bit of a char on it. There was a mix of tender juicy chicken bites, and also some with a char. I'd like to say next time I come here I will try something different but I doubt it. The chicken Shawarma bowl was so good that that is going to be my go to order every time.

Tried this place for the first time today and it was delicious ! I got the chicken shawarma bowl, it was a big portion, I have left overs for lunch. The food was fresh and I hardly had a wait. Everything inside was nice and clean and the girl working the counter was very nice. I can't wait to go back. I asked for my hummus on the side which they were happy to do and I also had the garlic sauce which was awesome. read more

Super quick service, nice atmosphere, and delicious food. I ordered the spicy chicken schwarma bowl on my lunch break which was delicious. The portion was definitely enough for two meals. This place is sooooo fantastic! Their steak salad bowl is my favorite! I love how you can customize anything. Their chicken and steak are just soo flavorful. I highly recommend if you love fresh and healthy food that you don't have to make P.S. make sure you get the dillio sauce on everything and add a side of spicy dilio but make sure you use sparingly because it is very spicy! read more

Let me start off by saying that there is an OVERWHELMING number of restaurants that serve shawarma in the area. Plenty of them are good, but Middle Eats is outstanding. I can easily say that this is now my favorite place for shawarma. First time trying it, and what sets them apart from the others are their fresh takes on the Classic Shawarma. Our family tried the Shawarma bowl, Loaded Shawarma Fries, and a Spicy Chicken Shawarma Wrap. Everything was delicious. We also all ordered smoothies and an order of Cajun seasoned fries. The French fries were cooked perfectly. Everything had so much flavor. I recommend adding a 4oz bottle of the garlic sauce because that stuff is amazing and good on everything!!! I can't say enough great things about this place. Can't wait to go back and try more! read more

the coworkers are absolutely friendly and amazing but unfortunately the food wasn't the best. we couldn't finish with the bowl, they should add lamb on the menu and the garlic sauce was too plain, need more garlic to make it more flavorful in the bowl. chicken was pretty decent but beef is alrighty. i wouldn't go there again:(. they should give us more pita bread because it wasn't enough even we paid pretty little bit expensive but not worth it to order it again. read more

I stopped into Middle Eats because I was craving some middle eastern food and let me tell you, this place is the perfect spot. They literally offer everything from sandwiches, wraps, bowels and salads. Their sauces are delicious and unique. I even had the banana pudding parfait and it was delicious. I saw the reviews on Middle Eats and decided to give it a try. I tried the steak and chicken bowl it was exceptional. I enjoyed the tender steak and the chicken was delicious also. The yellow rice was a complement to the meat my wife had the chicken bowl and was very happy with it. We'll be returning this week for another but different dish, I highly recommend this establishment. read more

I'm probably leaning closer to a 4 star but I feel like I gotta balance out all these exaggerated 5 stars that are probably all friends of the owners or something. Is this good? Yeah it's good. I mean I enjoyed it for the most part. But all these people saying "it's the best shawarma I've ever had" or "it's better than all the other middle eastern places in Detroit"...pffftt no... this is fast food, and it's good for what it is but I'd only rate it a slightly better than "meh" The pita...not good. Cold and tasteless it was a waste of a side. I've had better pita at the super market. As for the service, the girl honestly gave me a bit of an attitude bc I didn't hear her call my name. It's echoey as hell in there and hard to hear. I dunno, eat here if you're in the mood for Shawarma and in a hurry I guess but there are hundreds of better options around. read more

I usually get the Trifecta bowl w/o hummus + spicy dillio or the Chicken Shawarma bowl w/o hummus + spicy dillio. Highly recommend. I absolutely love, love, love this place! Not just the food but the excellent customer service i get whenever I visit. The Warren location is my stop. An amazing young man named Yousif E is the bomb. Looking for some FLAVA!!!!!! Then this is the place for it whatever u order is going to be on point but PLEASE GET THE GRILLED SHRIMP. I'm soooooo glad I got 2 bowls so I can relive them flavors that were sooooo dancing in my tongue hrr after I had eaten. The strawberry banana parfait is a must have to. I'LL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!!! If you're in the area I suggest you seriously consider giving this place a try, it was amazing!! I got a steak shawarma bowl and it was delicious. The best part was that as someone celiac (strictly GF) I was asking them if anything in the bowl contained gluten. They said the rice did actually have orzo in it, which immediately bummed me out because that meant it couldn't eat it. They quickly offered the most amazing solution. They offered to make a fresh batch of rice without orzo so that it was safe for me to eat! Seriously! What place makes new fresh rice to accommodate someone's food needs? I was so impressed with both their service and their food that I'm ordering lunch from there again today! read more

I have ever had ended up discarding the last few bites as I did give it a chance and tried to eat the whole thing, but it was absolutely disgusting. No garlic flavor no seasoning flavor to speak of at all I mean, give it a shot. I'm not telling you not to eat it as their Instagram campaign was very inviting. I had just left church and we had communion and the communion wafer was 10 times more flavorful Kind of upset that I paid almost $20 (including tip) for a single Shawarma wrap so unfortunately I cannot recommend. The one star I did give was for the kid at the counter. He was very friendly.

They also have many local brands to include chips, sodas, and other small local business products (caramelized nuts, baked goods, etc.)! On the topic of local businesses, they also had a board which allowed local owners to post business cards and event alerts, fantastic for drawing the community together. Now, I ordered a Reuben as a lover of corned beef and sauerkraut. It was delicious and sizeable, a fair portion size for the money as well. The chips were also delicious having gone for the salt, pepper, and onion variety. A solid crunch and bursting with flavor. Among the positives I have two negatives, both of which are not adequate enough to lower their star ranking. Firstly, it took around 20-25 minutes to get our food after ordering. I rarely hold timing against a restaurant as having worked in food, I know lunch rush exists and things happen. To mitigate this (for those in the area) I believe they have an online ordering system, which I would recommend utilizing! Secondly, they do not have indoor seating, so it is a very grab and go type establishment. This is counteracted by the multitude of benches around Royal Oak, though it would be nice to have some amount of seating, especially for those with accessibility needs and those waiting on their food. Overall, Oak House Deli is solid and delicious and I will definitely stop by again when I am in the area!

Everything tasted incredibly fresh, packed with flavor, and generously portioned. You can tell these sandwiches are made with care (and not skimpy on the good stuff). Restaurant wasn't dirty but there were some flies buzzing.

Then when we finally did order a drink - (waters, beers, pops & coffees), where are they and where is she? Finally she returns with drinks - disappears again. I ordered the Southwest Eggrolls that sounded delicious, but when they finally showed up they were undercooked and awful. I was finally able to send them back and the waitress promised they'd be cooked some more. In the meantime food was slowly coming out. One of the guests meal literally came after everyone was finally done eating - not kidding. Poor guy sat there and watched all of us eat - he was a saint. Waitress kept promising it was 'almost ready'. My eggrolls came back out - still not good. I just decided not to eat them. No one was happy when we left. This is my second try here, I won't be back. Several others commented that this place is always slow - so I think they won't be back either. They just lost 10 diners.
