They have absolutely ruined my car. I first took my car to get it looked at because I had just bought it from a private dealer and wanted to make sure everything was good. Midas gave me a whole list of things that needed to be fixed which was a total of $2k in repairs. I believed them even tho the car was showing no signs of having problems. I took my car in a second time to have the brakes changed since they said they needed to be replaced which was a cost of $540, when I got my car back I started noticing a weird sound coming from my tires. I then brought my car in again to get the thermostat and cam shaft sensors fixed since they said it needed fixing, I told them about the sound I had been hearing in my tires ever since they changed my brakes and they said they will take a look at it. I took the car in at 1130 and waited all day, it wasn't until 5pm when I went back and asked for an update and they then told me that they broke something in the car so the car had to stay overnight because it was going to take a while to get the piece they got stuck in there out. They gave me a loan car at no cost and was told I can pick my car up the next day. The next day I went and paid $909 for those repairs, they told me nothing was wrong with the brakes so I took my car home but I noticed the sound on the tires got way worse. When I turned on my car the next time after taking it home, my car was having trouble turning on. I took the car back to Midas to get it looked at because that sound in the tired was horrible and my car kept sputtering trying to turn on. They told me they took the car apart and nothing was wrong with the brakes again but that they found a new issue with the car that was going to be a $1k repair. The day after they checked the car, I am driving down the freeway and my car starts beeping and a light turned on in the dash so I immediately pulled over and noticed smoke coming out of the front of my car. We were ready to get the car towed when luckily a police officer pulled behind us and took a look at the car and noticed the tube that connects the coolant to the engine was not plugged in which caused all of my coolant to leak out. My car was not perfect when I took it to Midas but ever since they touched my car, my car has been worse off. I genuinely feel like they have been ripping me and my husband off, and rather than fixing things they told me was wrong, they have broken my car. read more

Always took our Subaru and Toyota here for oil changes and any other services needed. Rocky was always very friendly and genuine. He wanted to help in anyway he could. Never had any problems here. They even replaced our air conditioner that was under warranty with Subaru since they were a certified Subaru repair shop. I really miss this place since we have moved out of state. The fuel pump on my truck died and I had to have my truck towed from the side of the road. I had it towed to Midas and they verified it was indeed my fuel pump. They replaced the fuel pump June 2016. Since then I have had issues with the fuel sender (gauge) not working properly and the truck not taking fuel at a reasonable rate (barely trickles into the tank). I have taken it back for both issues, they "fixed" the fuel sender (it now registers but moves very slowly after filling) and claimed that there was nothing that they did that would cause the fuel not to flow into the tank at a normal rate. I have been unable to find the issue and am now looking at replacing the $900 fuel tank because it still will not take gas. read more

Midas broke my car!!!!!!!!! They broke my new car oil filter ring and oil leaked for a month. I went to Midas to fix my car but they say all is not leaking and they didn't do anything wrong. The engine oil keep leaked and I had to pay $80 in dealer serveice to fix the problem. The dealership told me to go to Midas in watertown, NY to reimburse fee because it was clearly Midas mechanic's mistake. Midas refused to refund money. read more

Great experience. I went to a Midas further downstate prior to this one in Watertown and the people at the first location immediately gave me the wrong impression. I decided to give the Midas name another try after reading the great Yelp reviews on the Watertown location and am very happy that I did so. They were very honest and helpful about how long/how expensive it would be to figure out why my check engine light was on, whereas the location downstate was very wishy washy and quoted me an outrageous price for diagnostics alone. This location even agreed to let me go purchase my own parts from elsewhere if the problem was going to be an expensive one. The issue ended up being a quick fix, however, and the guys in Watertown had me in and out in no time with an extremely reasonable price. I highly recommend this location! read more

But recently relocating to Watertown I needed some EMERGENCY brake work done and when I looked up local places, Midas on Arsenal popped up with a 5-star rating! Being that I've only ever taken my Highlander to my service department in MD, I called my Service Manager back home and went over every detail including the cost! I took my car in for new rear brakes. Dealership said I needed new pads and quoted almost $300 for job. Midas was $99 new brakes and installation. Rocky, the manager, called and said I didn't in fact need new brakes, I only needed them cleaned and adjusted, total was $49. Very honest people--they could've just replaced brakes, charged me $99 and I wouldn't have know the difference. As a woman honesty is valued in the car industry since we typically don't know much about these things. I feel a world of difference in my brakes and I will be back for other service! read more
